OOPS

They are caught in the web of enthusiasm
Radical thoughts locking their minds in spasm
Unsure of their locus
Eyes blinking to focus
Following leaders into the chasm

Is There Such a Thing as a Dumb Question? Oops

It's often been conjectured, though I've seen no one prove it.
What do we need, from our lexicon, to remove it?
To disprove it, it would be sufficient - more than ample,
simply to supply a single counterexample.
Now, thank God, we have it, and it's indisputable.
A question who's stupidity is immutable. 
So now, friends and colleagues, I offer

Sorry mom. 

Pill after pill still not filled
 except with depression. 
Held back but I wanna run
And as the sun sets it’s been another day of fun. 
Tried to share my smile
And it felt so ing fake
Gave you the benefit of the doubt 
nope
you slithered  like a snake. 
Lie after lie and I don’t

Oops! I forgot our anniversary
Because you've been too icky
Because you've messed up big time
You have not been fair or sublime
Sweet honey, I am sorry, I totally forgot
However, if you keep your promise
You will, without a doubt, get a whole lot
Of rewards and gifts and no mess

Regina city councillors under fire
For ad campaign’s not looked at prior
How someone did not think to inquire
Check the news if you think me a liar

This province had some odd news breaks
Like the Tim Hortons with the snake…
The moose in the school for hoof’s sake
But this capital city goof takes the cake

I suppose they were hoping

I Messed Up

Sometimes I get muddled
A little confused and mixed up
I come out with funny things
and make everyone crack up

My workmate spent thousands on IVF
I was explaining this one day
but my brain seemed to go absent
and I messed it up my own way

I told my friends about her
My brain was running free
I meant to say IVF
but said

Oops, the Human Zoo

As a girl. I skipped into to the garden, humming “Mary Lou.” 
        Twas no fun at all, discovering the adult, mean, human zoo!


                        

Uh-Oh Makes a Boo-Boo - Oops

Uh-oh met Oops
    made an egregious error

  Mistook Oops for Boo-boo
    thought a kiss'd make it better

  Oops lashed out
    called Uh-oh a name

  Boo-boo's not cured ~
    Is Uh-oh to blame

First sprinkles of snow
Snowplows loaded with gravel
Schools are closed notices,
My momma takes off from work
Weather forecaster is wrong!
