Ass-y-metric.! Or so i'm told.? Whether its war or
The economy? or congress (on hold)
Down is the latest up.' And soon up well
it won't
Be found..There just are too many
Donkeys leading, i much preffer the former
One horse towns.)
Line of inquiry,
Betwixt two thoughts there is a gap, no
Illusions therin entrap, in the time streched
Pause we see ego craving is a mousetrap
Unseeking seeker.
In a lapse? A pause..? A slap? Of surfaces
Displacing air.' I was shocked.' By impact my mind laid bare.' Is some force; there? I
Cannot call by voice, I have decided thus that is my choice ' yet to ask in the spirit that, ephemeral lives..Where death is past.'

Life just a dream.? By the master poet who
Tends to go un-seen.' Darkness to Him is light i have read, this challenges the elemental teachings, perhaps it causes dread.? And yet He has spoken.' And i have
Heard.' In the place between reason and divination, so I wrote some words; because

Polaritys.' And determination of minds.' There is a place..( that you will find ) not by

Are gay jockeys fruit of the loom,
when riding a race on the course,
and would they need a leg-up,
to get on their high horse?
Bucking the system in a one-horse town,
or in the middle of a stream,
to look for gifts in a horse's mouth,
is not the smartest scheme.
Would a long-faced horse, a sourpuss,
not wanting to be a player,
bolt the barn door
and be a neigh-sayer?
If a broke cowboy, saddled with a nag,
a dark horse of a different colour that's *****,
were bent, a crooked rustler,
would he sell you a bum steer?
A horse is really just a horse
We do know that of course
They cannot talk
So, we are told
But if I may be so bold
To remind you of a show of old
About one horse who was,
Supposedly, just a horse of course
He would eat all day
And when he was out of hay
Shout till he was hoarse
!!!!WILLLLLLBURRRRR!!!!
Heart ache, a road break off route sixty-six
Over each river and every state line
Tour bus travellers all finding their fix
Everyone hyphened is heightened this time
Lost luggage losing it's share of the light
American dreams with shutters pulled down
Memphis blues music feels alright tonight
Elvis themed runners surprising the town
Rocky road blue grass fades slowly away
In between cities and one horse places
Cocktail umbrellas recall brighter days
Appreciating these world weary faces
Neighbours, travellers, old lovers and friends
Ask for directions to where this tale ends.

The words won’t and can’t
horses with unlike bloodlines,
but both still horses.
One horse thinks it can't
The other is proud and Won’t.
Both are pedigreed.
It’s Thursday evening, almost nine
foot-tap, fiddle, and banjo time
with juke-box tales of love’s romance
the county jail, a second chance
for bourbon belles or backroad trucks
mail-box motels, living on luck
from one horse towns to city bars
acoustic sounds that drive guitars
harmonicas with prairie dust
Americana, steel mill rust
cornbread kitchen, joy, and sorrow
songs that long for bright tomorrows
it’s Nashville on my radio
Bob Harris and his Country Show!

Some days I just wake up feeling of low self esteem,
I survey the night’s happenings and almost scream.
Other days I feel “dumber than a barrel of hair”,
asking myself this question, Does anyone care?
I’m feeling “as useless as two wagons in a one horse town”.
and, of course it’s the news that has given me my frown.
Sometimes I feel the need of a little morale booster,
but that would be “like putting socks on a rooster”.
I dare not wake Sweetie so I’m “as quiet as a meadow mouse”,
“Because she can start a fight in an empty house”.
I’ll ask what’s for breakfast when I’m craving food,
I can tell by her stare, if “She’s in a horn tossing mood”.
She responds with, “Whatever floats your boat,” smurf,
now I’m left “as confused as a goat on astroTurf”.
After fifty-eight years I’ve grown used to her “naggin”
now, “It’s just about time to put our chairs in the wagon”.
At our advanced age very little induces a laugh,
but my sweetie knows, “if I’ve got a biscuit, she’s got half.”
How magical is lovely wintertime.
Myriads of flakes efface drab terrain,
creating an appearance that’s so sublime
I want to sleigh ride on a country lane.
Imagine riding on that one-horse sleigh
cuddling with your sweetheart right at your side -
a panoramic snow scene on display.
Just think of the pleasure this would provide.
Oh, to take delight in this winter scene,
inhaling quietude and feeling bliss -
the world encased in white with satin sheen.
Pristine and splendid – magical is this!
The thought of traveling is inspiring to me.
So many amazing countries I've read about.
Places I've dreamed of visiting and long to see
by plane, rail, or car. Whatever my chosen route.
Excitement begins when my decision is made
as to where I'll go, close to home or far away.
Walking on a beach and watching the sunlight fade.
Perhaps this winter, riding in a one horse sleigh.
Planning the journey is always part of the fun.
Whether I'll be daytripping in Scotland's heather
or the Alps, my travelogue will be finely spun.
When it's time to get away, I have no tether.
I'll pack a bag on an impulse or merest whim.
Destination not always chosen in advance.
I've not thrown a dart at a map as a prelim,
but wherever it lands, I'd find reason to dance.
Larry was rowing his novel as fast as he could
Trying to escape the emojis from Donner and Good
The evil faces were trying to climb onboard his boat
The islands in the distance remained fairly remote.
How much more can I take? Larry asked the wind.
The wind could see what kind of trouble he was in.
Just keep rowing, but do it double time, she said.
One horse emoji jumped onboard and stood on his head.
If you are going to be crazy, you will have to go said Larry.
But I don’t want to said the horse, whose name was Harry.
Then be good as sliced bread and do what I say, okay?
They had a safe trip downstream that very same day.
Shop bells tinkling from eight 'til late
queuing customers having to wait;
Thursday,closing at noon
opportunity to court and spoon.
Collection boxes built into walls,
gossiping ladies in their shawls;
Bells pealing on the hour,
drays pulled by one horse power.
Factory hooters' blowing
Morning cockrels' crowing;
Cycle bells a-ringing,
Provisions from vans' a-bringing.
the valley of horror
On my way to the shops in the charming one horse
town called Benafim, I took a shortcut through
a narrow valley like a mensur scar in a high ranking
German officer’s cheek
When down, I regretted my rash idea, airless and still
no birds sang there, and no rabbits crossed the path
sharp floret bushes ominously murmured veiled threats
The trees were pale and long since deceased.
The sun didn’t reach fully here; deep shadows were
dark, murderous spooks waited, the soil was rusty
the blood of those who didn’t find the way out.
I froze and sweated, the track appeared endless and
my dog had disappeared.
Finally, at the exit, I ran the last 50 meters, the dog
waited for me, sensible she had taken the old road.
I was told by the villagers no one walked the there
a massacre from a war forgotten the evil continued.
I might not take you through the snow
In a one-horse open sleigh
But I must surely let you know
How I feel for you this Christmas day
There might be no mistletoe
Under which by me you should lay
But I must confess; from your head to your toe
You are beautiful all the way
If there is anything I need to do
Anything at all you think I must
Just mention, anything for you
And I'll do it by Christmas
My Confidante, I need nothing from you
Yes nothing for this Christmas
But your lips on mine too
Well, that to me is a merry Christmas.

Some love fast cars and planes,
Buses,tractors or trains-
In the saddle, the place to be,
One horse-power,sits well with me.
