Lies of Omission

Wounded, woeful woman.
Hostage of hindered hope.
Yowling, yearning, for you.

A Photosynthesis of Conversion
David J Walker

The tender plants bow under the
Sun and dance to the voices of
Indecisive winds in
A compliance of survival
Confessions of sins of omission
And confusion of missions
Pay for admission to the
Summer Social

And when called upon
Singing the sacrament of
Dissonance in words that
They can and cannot remember

The tender plants mature
Denying they are what they are
In a deception of plausible
Disinformation where
Such lies are the hiding places
Of obvious truths

Lies of Omission

You made me believe you cared.
You made me believe that I loved you.
You used your “charm”,
and got me hooked.
You knew how to lie,
you knew how to manipulate,
and you used that to your advantage.
You hurt me,
without even saying hurtful things.
You lied,
and you warped my heart to still love you.
All you use to get to people.
Not kindness,
not being helpful,
not being truthfully caring.
Only…
Lies of omission.

Premium MemberSins of Omission

Maybe I should have told you how much I cared
and admitted how much you mean to me

Maybe I should have opened my heart to you
and revealed my innermost secrets

Maybe I should have let you know that I love you
and could have bared it all

The signs were there if you knew how to read them
~ I waited for you to meet me half way

You whispered to me ‘I know how to love,’
I think, am I an echo or clear sound?
There’s a question I need to get rid of;
Do you think of me when I’m not around?

The next time you see me may be the last,
perhaps I should say that I adore you;
Don’t let precious moments go by so fast
regret and realize how fast time flew;

Hang on to every moment we’re given,
holding tightly to a faded snapshot;
Staying quiet? A lie by omission;
Cannot ask you to say what I have not;

I try and speak then my courage just snaps,
I will love you until the stars collapse.

Odd character that smacks God’s right hand.
Miserable wretches - the media
Is underhanded.
Spits in the wind; truth is
Suspect…fallacious videos, omissions
Itinerant…on the cutting floor.
Obama speaks —
No one hears his piece.

Unprofessional Omission

Not bringing along my tool
Has me made a fool:
A gross violator of workers’ first rule,
A copyist of the stubborn mule
And one to again lend time to some school…
And here I am, seated, “Very Cool”,
Unrestrainedly gazing at a purplish pool,
Though I’d deserved all but a viewing stool.

Omission

Solid roots buried deep within the earth
Though a chimera
Far above the dense ground
High high above
Where there is no one else around
But down down below
To a place rarely talked about
Where everybody goes

To confront the darkness that lies within
Slowly eating away at our soul
Slowly devouring us all

A species as a whole

Will things ever change?
yes
For better or worse
The answer is unknown

Whether or not we choose to live life recklessly
We all endure our own kind of legacy

Whether or not we choose to be seen
Is irrelative to our destiny

Run from Fame
                    Ego
                       Arrogance
                          Radicalism
Carrying the restricted hatred of shame
With nothing of any true value to gain
Chasing satisfaction
In an immoral domain
Having the power to enthrall the criminally insane
Having to always pretend to play this game

Hoping that it’s all a game

All from the same death set aflame
Burning ghosts of an iridescent pain

Praying that some sense of morality still remains

Insult By Omission

Insult by omission, oozed from her remark
When by chance they happened to pass in the park
Some steps beyond
On him it dawned
That what she said was, "Hello there tall and dark!"

Omission of Tradition 7-24-15

It has never been my intension
nor was it ever a bone of contention
to alter or disrupt the social convention
but now is the time to pay close attention
to the decline of the human condition

Responsibility rescinded creating moral decomposition
accountability abandoned causing legal repercussion
right and wrong are muddled in a malicious juxtaposition
public opposition has festered into social imperfection
the omission of tradition by politician’s redefinition

HEED THIS ADMONITION OR ARDENT APPREHENSION
SAGACIOUS SUSPICION AND PERSISTANT PREVENTION

Of the decommission of the Physician, Pediatrician
the Technician, and the Mathematician
and give this acquisition to those with no ambition
even those under suspicion of sedition
or held in detention without fear of restitution

This is the deception of the devolution
of the middle classification
and the total destruction
of American personification
praise the Lord and pass the ammunition

Omission

When you tell me your doing
something, and don't
Is that a lie?
I feel deceived, in not what you
did
But in what you failed to own.

Feeling hurt, I wonder why
Was that the truth,
Is that a lie?
Deserving more than in my
youth.

Are you unthoughtful, can that
be?
I've been here waiting
Were you here, is that a lie?
Are you my friend, or are we
dating?

Understanding escapes me now
Your hiding something I feel
Thinking you wanted me, is
that a lie?
Promises you never broke, or
was that the deal.

A loving person, I think you are
But you never used that word
Saying things about marriage,
is that a lie?
Listening to you, I feel absurd

I have two things to give to you
My heart and my time
Did you waste both of them, or
is that a lie?
You didn't ask for either of
them, what did you find?

I ignored a few small signs
Thought nothing of them
Is your deception real, is it a
lie?
Omission is no small sin.

''Ophelias' Omission''

~Parallel strands of blonde silk hide her vulnerable eyes.
If only to foresee what shall lye ahead.
Surrender to my embrace Ophelia.
Judgement nor prejudice dispel a hearts' affection.
Lay now bound journal.
Rippled with twill, tell your jaded past.
May lips sealed try to speak.
Solace crests upon a subdued soul.
I rest at feet for truth.
Our love lead not for despair.~
