Premium MemberWhen the Stars Looked My Way

rain fell with riddles
chalk dust tumbled from my hands
I loved the schoolyard —
learned questions I had not asked—
left un-quenched thirst in my mouth

seashell in my hand
I pressed it hard to my ear
I heard sea strumming —
calling me like it knew me
until tide drew my voyage

clocks ran without me
their teeth grinding daylight down
turning gold to dust —
the clocks ignored me this time
grinding unfazed without me

shadows curled inwards
I traced darkness in my pulse
then folded the chart —
the stars no longer led me
to go gently into night

Premium MemberOn My Way Home - I'm All Alone!

The road was rough, the path well-worn,
My boots were dusted in what we mourn.
I walked by the field we used to know,
Where dreams were born, but failed to grow.

A window glows behind a hill,
A face I loved, maybe there still.
But time's moved on, and so have we,
After we fought - I lost the key.

Looking up I see -
The stars are shining like strangers.
They display the signs, I should have read.
They sing the songs, I should have sung.
It's too late now! I'm done dusted!
I'm on my way home .... I'm all alone!

I saw the tree where we carved our names.
The bark now hides the scars we blame.
The wind plays our song in rhythm and blues,
Promising so much, with so much to lose.

The gate stood open where I passed through,
The choices I've made, I can’t undo.
If I looked back sooner, I might have stayed.
But my heart shattered when no debts were paid.

Looking up I see -
The stars are shining like strangers.
They display the signs, I should have read.
They sing the songs, I should have sung.
It's too late now! I'm done dusted!
I'm on my way home .... I'm all alone!

why do I stay when things don't go my way

Why do I come back time after time, day after day?
Every time I fail, I keep telling myself I will rise above.
At this point, it might be a lie.
Why, oh why, I want to cry out.
So full of doubt.
These words I spout.
Why do I stay day after day?
Why do I stay when things don't go my way?

Premium MemberFeeling my way

Sitting here watching the sky
Clouds go floating by
As you get to a certain age
Faster turns the page
Time no longer creeps
It starts playing for keeps
Sun beating down warming the day
Seeing places memories play
Staying out of tomorrow's way
Find me soon enough
Hang tough
Everything I'm looking to see
What I'm looking to be
Paying the price of being me
Haven't lost my way
Still feeling my way through today
Each breath I take
From the moment I awake
I am grateful,
Life is never dull
Smoking a bowl
Writing this rhyme
Enjoying this moment in time
Nowhere I'd rather be
My heart feels free
writing here under this tree

My Way

The lights explode, I’m giving it all,
I dance, I jump, I bounce, I crawl.
Each move’s a burst, each laugh a win,
I’m in my element, let the show begin!

When the crowd disappears, and I end the show,
I wonder what’s next, where I’ll go.
Dad’s not here now, I’m far from home,
But this path feels right, I’ll make it my own.

Lights flashing bright, this dream's finally real,
A chance to be seen, to show what I feel.
With every step, a new door to explore,
A world of possibility, and so much more!

Is this the peak, or just the beginning?
I’ll keep the faith, and leave the future spinning.
The feeling inside loves the show,
Chasing the rush, but where does it go?

The crowd’s on fire, they scream my name,
I’m running wild, and it’s never the same.
Laughing loud, I take the stage,
I’m a storm, they can’t cage!

The lights are fading, but I’m still here,
A dream in my hands, no more fear.
I’am finally here, after dreaming for so long.
I’ve found the place, where I belong.

Premium MemberGuide my way

You reached that age, that time in your life
The fork in the road, you must think twice.
What to do, go left and go, go, go
Or got to the right and take it slow

You made your choice, head that way.
Memory kicks in, remember back in the day
Hands on your head you turn around
Listen closely but you hear no sound

Look at the sky, cup your ears
Hoping his voice you soon will hear
Dear Lord you pray, guide my way
Please don’t let me choose wrong today

My Life My Way

Can you stop?
 Dear,
 Wind from blowing
 Fire from burning
 River from flowing
 The sun from rising
                                    If you reply, No
 Then why are messing
 With the lion's way
 Didn't you know?
 Everyone have born right
 To S a y
  My life my way.

Happy Holi to all.

On my way to the dearest first love of my life today.
After a single dark day, I finally feel okay.
On my way to lay alongside him without feeling any fray.

Premium MemberLost My Way

I stumble each day,
Praying to a God I now barely believe in.
The years of turning to my faith
Diminished
In the eye of insurmountable pain,
A loss so great that it shook me to the ground.
Searching for the why
In your goodbye,
Feeling betrayed by the Great One,
Stealing my precious child in the wee hours of the night.
Struggling to find my footing,
Knowing deep down that He is bigger than life.
I lost my way,
The night you went His way.

Not My Way but Yours

I tend to go my own way,
many times, I don’t obey.
Like a sheep that’s gone astray
to temptations I seem to fall prey,
when I fail to go Your way.

My Way

My Way.

Silently floats like a cloud across the sky, as I sleep memories gently rise, tapping like a leaf against the window pane.

Arm in arm along a dimly lit lane we stroll, my name you say like a line from my favourite song, I turn to answer and you are gone.

You went away with no word said, took a piece of me that can never be replaced, in its place a hole never to be filled.

A tear falls in my soul the flicker of words unsaid to an ear no longer near, hangs like a spider’s web glistening with diamonds from morning dew.

Did I do a wrong that you could not stay, was it that painful I had to go without the chance to say sorry?

Was I blind to not see all we built crumble into misery, was I so naïve that it was just make believe, and was I desperate for this love I could not hold?

What’s meant for you will not pass you by I’m told, so goodbye you made my heart cry, but each day I find stronger steps now you’re out of my way.
