#13: Close One, & Cigars

To the accords of The Book of Life ... cheers,
loose ends of the created stoic string
crisscross a heedless sea of empty tears.
In the facade of guilt, all seems trifling.
Metallica Horizons all are round,
languages changing from their Mother Tongues,
World Clock, reassemble to Zero down.
New tastes, new sounds ... The Song of Flower Drums
from Southerners, not quite, the cowboy type.
Bowls bleed of beets, ... have fun chow from Macao.
Americans, ... where? ... flagless world, all hype ...
Russians, Chinese, there ... steak, Mindanao.
Ex-lives work as one, building their Starships,
human chain meant Starman ... breathing room trips.

Devils Gauntlet

Darkness was descending in a crawled dread,
entering evening’s creepy gloom by that fence
vile and sharp as evil silhouettes of greed’s luv..
In the narrow guarded gates, a Halloween alibi
living open, is a walking workforce all powerful
sporting eyes, bloodied, from searing naked souls…

Gamblers risk the chains always snapping
Ankles bound clank with links as Metallica
undoes panic screams, of nonexistent you,
now a mere silent statistic mute and shorn,
tied down in a sterile stainless-steely night
left to the mercies of a tamed cold, so feral…

Edenites guard walled riches from the ogre
that hails from a south, full of satanic heat!

Iron

Sunday did not pan out,
an iron faith faltered.
It was a wane wobble.
it was cellular rust,
it was not enough iron.

Iron pills rattle in me like BB pellets,
my stools are obsidian artifacts.
More red wine, less whine.

The day got no better,
anemic confusions swirled.
I sucked upon nuts and bolts,
listened to Metallica,
had to iron-out yet more
non-ferrous unpleasantness.

When the Heavens Fall-12x12

When the Heavens Fall

The devious despotic dark ones shall descend
Riding sullen stallions to this hell will attend
Bringing with them fire and fear, a ballistic blend
Rulers of Lords and Kings, tyranny will impend

The sun will stop shining, the darkness shall extend
The forsaken have fallen and thus set the trend
Shivering silence no human can comprehend
Lachrymal lashes through weeping walls shall transcend

Cathedrals of condemnation, priests will pretend
Impetuous entombment, Angels must defend
Disjunctive destruction the demons do contend
Illumination and damnation, battle's END.

Oceans Away

Oceans away am I, O my sweet love, sweet love
My thoughts fleet through misty clouds for you, my love
My hearts drips in the lone shadows for you, my love

Oceans away am I, O my sweet love, sweet love
My pulse stops as I dial to hear your voice, my love
All distances close for that moment in noise, my love

Oceans away am I, O my sweet love, sweet love
When I trust you, and you trust me, my love
None else I desire than soothing words, my love

Oceans away am I, O my sweet love, sweet love
When I walk in the parks, I'm with you, my love
When I travel in a crowd , I'm with you, my love

Oceans away am I, O my sweet love, sweet love
I blush before eyes in wait for you, my love
Crimson glow with hope that distances close, my love

Oceans away am I, O my sweet love, sweet love
Oceans away am I, O my sweet love, sweet love

I feel your breath, still frightened to death,
But as long as, I have faith in my prayers.
Nothing else matters.

The rivals don't know, the power of mother,
Who stands by you, who loves and cares.
Nothing else matters.

You are safe in my arms, open your eyes,
Let me kiss your forehead, wipe your tears.
Nothing else matters.

I shall shield you, from devil's dark shadow,
I believe your say, not what said by others.
Nothing else matters.

World is evil, I am afraid of your innocence,
But I will make you strong, in coming years.
Nothing else matters.

Trust me for once, you are my reason to live,
Wake up my child, and give me all your fears.
Nothing else matters.

Whiskey For Water

Touch the face of an angel
Return again the innocence
Begin again along this road
Another face, another road

Said the Toad to the Frog
"Crossing this road takes skill and daring"
Replied the Frog "Everyone's staring and waiting
for your daring self to cross and get splattered on the street".

Milkshakes in the snowstorm?
Hot coffee in the heat of summer?
Bare feet on the rocky shores?
"You're doing it all wrong".

Even the songs you pick are off center,
Blues for a wedding party,
Metallica for the Funeral
And whiskey for water.

You should start all over
Being careful which roads you choose
And keep an open mind
Else you'll miss it all again.

I Disappear

wake up to serendipity
ignorant and unknown
shaken and not stirred
blond can be bond

Reality, metaphor and cliche
cheesy juvenile decay
Love, care and hate
past the use by date

of fights and torment
and well deserved lament
salute to the solitary reaper
with Metallica... I disappear

Metallica Tribute

Muses conceived and baptized by fire
Ethereal melodies wedded to serrated strings
Tormenting the ears of the faint at heart
A revolution of metal was born
Looking defeat and death in the eye they forge boldly on
Lustily toting a guitar case of sins
Inebriated veins pulse to the beat of Hell’s drums
Candid they exposed their darkened souls to the world
And revealed there a beauty both metallic; and pure

Hormones

My body is awash with serotonin,
Endorphin and adrenaline,

I pounded the pavement with such fury,
With earphones, with such fury,
On ears, Metallica pounded mine

I followed the track with such determination,
While frustrations, with such determination,
Followed me

I felt the wind ahead with such invigoration,
While hope, with such invigoration,
Felt me

I saw the twilight run away,
Slowly melting with the rising sun,
It’s warmth, hope’s ally,
Chasing pounding fury,
And determined frustration,
Away

Cortisol, Cortisol, Go away
Come back another day,
Today, George wants to play

In Subtle

Poetry,
To me,
Is romantic

Than...
The head banging music
Of Metallica.

Sweet melodies
Of a word traveler well spilled in it,
In subtle.

Destination Texas - Dedicated To Jason Cozart

Driving fast
Headed for the Texas border
Nothing going to stand in our way
And I thought it was never going to end
Me and you together
Passionate and in love
Without a worry
Without a plan
Listened to Guns N Roses & Metallica
While we smoked our rock
And you rolled your cigarettes
Just headed for Texas
Fell apart at the Texas border
Couldn't stay
Headed back to Florida
Fighting along the way
As I dropped you off at the home of your friend
I knew I would never see you again
When I came back to pick you up you were gone
