In her messy jalopy, she made a bit of room for me
had to pick up empties; I counted twenty-three
I said, “You really like cream soda, I see”
She gave me a nod and thumbs up, my friend Vee.
We gave been comrades for a while, have shared history.
She has never been a neatnik like her mom or sister Bree.
Her car looks like it has been well-loved, lived in totally
I adore the unapologetic casual messiness of my friend Vee.

As it becomes dawn, the sun brings rays of gold,
We wander through moments, both timid and bold.
Mistakes, like leaves, fall softly from trees,
A whisper of lessons carried on the breeze.
No shame in stumbles, no guilt in the fall,
Each misstep a heartbeat, a lesson for all.
With every miscalculation, a story unfolds,
The beauty of growth, more precious than gold.
Perfection, a mirage, a fleeting sweet lie,
While fulfillment awaits in the truths we untie.
We wander through shadows, embrace the unknown,
In the messiness of life, our spirits have grown.
Let us dance freely, with joy as our guide,
In the arms of our failures, just keep your pride.
For the essence of living lies not in the score,
But in heartfelt connections that open each door.
To live is to stumble, to rise and to learn,
In the flicker of life, let the passion still burn.
With each twist and turn, we may falter and sway,
But it's the journey that matters— this is the way.

The signals get scattered in our scurried days
The constant grind trapping us in a daze
So we sit and copy and paste the weeks
Unsure of what it is that we seek
Even if we are unaware of its purpose
Hope is bubbling up under the surface
Luckily it won’t remain hidden forever
We just need to pull on the right lever
Allowing our eyes to pick up the clues
To see what has always been true
That the transformation is already underway
Molding our mess into a masterpiece each and every day
While the grind will never go away
Let's remember that we have a say
In how we frame our life's picture
Embracing the messiness may make things richer

I'm consumed by jealousy's flame
Overzealous emotions, hard to tame
My highs are intoxicating, lows devastating
Anger burns, a fire I'm hesitating
To love you fiercely, or leave in haste
My heart's a rollercoaster, hard to predict the pace
But you don't judge me, and that's my reprieve
For I'd judge you too, in self-defense
We're flawed, imperfect, yet we fit
Our issues entwined, a complicated knit
Give me your demons, I'll share mine
Together we'll face the trials of our minds
Bask in the glory of our brokenness
Our love's the solution to our messiness
I got issues, one's my need for you
You, with your quirks, and hands that pull me through
Poorly wired, yet perfectly mine
You break, you mend, with an ocean's design
Push and pull, our love's a test
But you see it from my side, and I from yours, we're blessed
We got issues, but love makes us whole
Embracing flaws, our hearts now unfold
I need you, you need me, in this imperfect dance
Together we'll heal, in this messy romance.

CHAOS
Chaos everywhere, a disorder no one can see
Messiness of life, strewn all around us
FIGHTING
Fighting hard not to flee
Imagination running wild
Two steps behind the last; three steps in front of the next
You’re about to burn from the inside out
No one knows the level of your pain
Who can sense the intensity of another one’s struggle
What do we do when the alarm is not heard
Where do we turn when all else seems to fail
CHAOS
Chaos everywhere, a disorder no one can see
Messiness of life, strewn all around us
Sensing we are alone…WE ARE NOT
God is in the center of our storm
He keeps the flames of messiness at bay
He’ll calm all our racing thoughts
CHAOS
Chaos everywhere, a disorder God SEES
HE will, respond to the call of your, FIRE STORM
HE can remedy…JUST ASK

I love you dearly, in ways your little foibles can never deny,
With your laugh, your smile, the bright twinkle in your eye.
But when I see your clothes strewn all askew,
Perhaps the smitten, has bitten off too much to chew!
The dishes pile up, the socks are everywhere.
The clutter expands to chaotic mayhem in which I despair.
Your shoes live like vagrants, begging on the stairs.
Your papers, like confetti, cast litter over tables and chairs.
So here's my plea, my love, a fear I must confess.
I love you dearly, but not your lovely mess!
So let's tidy up together, or hire a helping hand!
While rocking, rolling, jiving to our favorite band.
For while messiness is a sign, they say, of a creative mind,
Mindless mess does not feed my mind to be creative in kind.

My joy and happiness
(Through time and space and choice)
By Michelle Morris
26/04/2023
I am blessed to have known you
I am grateful for our time
It gives me solace that God has given us
A relationship that touched our souls
That He brought us together
Through time and space and choice
Through the messiness of being human
Through the mortality of our shells
I am blessed to know that we have forever
That we'll be together always
Through time and space and choice
This Universe is our everlasting home
I thank God for you each day
I know that we are truly blessed
Thank you for your love
And for being my joy and happiness

She didn’t run – she walked
Her hands by her side
Graceful and girly, like a lady
She was certainly ladylike
I was her girl, her baby
The twinkle in her eye
And the scatterbrained reminder
That love is never silent
One afternoon
As the sun embraced my thoughts
And laughter spun joy through my heart
There were flowers in the meadow
Daisies that had such happy faces
And I was drawn to them the way that
The moon seems to attract the stars
I ran messily toward the flowers
Not more than a few steps away from her
And I felt my heart giggle with delight
When I looked back at her behind me, running
Never more beautiful than in that moment
As sun poured across her shoulders
And I led her into the messiness
Of a childlike happiness and grace
At a gentle, innocent pace
Since that day so long ago - I always imagined
Her favorite flower was the daisy

A Messy Advent..
For some~~
It is time for Advent
That special season of waiting
For a birth in a storied event..
Incarnation it is called..with a
Child arriving to save us from
Sins construed as so messy..
Re-contemplating that
Child.. recalling our own
Innocence..before our many
Journeys to far places
Seeking in messiness
Our illusive Innocence..
Until..with joyful Surprise
A discovery..at journey's end:
From our Innocence
We have never departed...!

Menace intends to mow
Ruthless slices stem renegades
Remnants flap erratic,
Resilience remains unafraid
Virtuous dispose overgrown
Scorn of manicurist imbalanced
Courage operates alone
Realisation spurred by challenge
City's mesh messiness
Accepts intended bedlam mosaic change
Faceted shadow corners glint
Light slides, vertical snake rearrange
Cult harbingers cut opposers
Whip and snip straight edges
Goaded by nurtured clones
Rebel dispels lectures
Scope stacks psyches intermingled
Hand clasp members hope
Allegiance tucks members beneath wing
Anonymous chase, utopia

My face is a cracked line that floats
between flurry and decline
squeezed open by promises unkept
by imprints of messiness
by the after shocks of joy
Facial skin spotted,
the sun's minted pay off
No resistance to the screen time of now
My profile settling like ash in a bin
but woven within the puzzle pieces of life
grounded in all that's humane
My face touched by your hands
shuts out addled history
shuts out combustible fear
My face held in your hands allows me to think
I could out run fire

Try to remove clutters from house;
Studies say it causes stresses
in mind; one continues to grouse;
In time one suffers from tension.
Clutter creates a messiness;
Studies say it causes stresses
and generates unhealthiness
In time one suffers from tension.
Cunctation is tied to clutter;
Studies say it causes stresses;
Holding items causes clutter;
In time one suffers from tension.

Why am I so wired
Wound up so tight
I think I might explode or crack
At the least little extra added pressure
It’s all way too much drama
Messiness and chaos for my liking
Enough is enough
I just can’t bear it
Don’t pile on any more
Everybody stop just relax
Take a breath
We can’t keep up this pace
Life isn’t supposed to be a race

A child is simply uncomplicated
neither inhibited, nor reflective, free.
Unencumbered by the past
not held-back by what lies ahead,
beyond care for contemplation.
Children -
jump in puddles, splash in the bath
create spontaneously
lose themselves in endless play
sing and laugh whenever they want
love old people dearly
have limitless imagination and curiosity
chortle and sing when playing together
eat stuff from the jar
are creative with their messiness
appreciate the tiniest things that matter
care not for caution nor hesitation
are fearless of consequences
are self-centred
are self-possessed
rightfully just so.
a gift for us
to share their joy of life,
and their boundless
enthusiasm for fun.
Let the children play -
they have so much to teach us.

The mishmash mayhem of jumbled clutter
at first seems to be confusion's cause.
But after tidying up, nothing can be found.
Nothing is where you left it lying, easy to find again.
Last in, first out is the principle of your piles and stacks
of assorted unsorted stuff you left lying all around you.
As you contemplate clearing up the mess to see your desk,
the gathered hodgepodge medley of mess
hums a melody, a ditty in warning:
"Messiness is the sign of creativity"
"If a cluttered desk begets a cluttered mind,
what does a cleared empty desk beget?"
Enough already! I want to be more creative!
It’s not a mess, it's inspired creativity on active duty!
