Loretta Jane Swit
always possessed of great wit
wasn’t content slinging hash
and became head nurse in MASH

Hawk Eye and Joni

Hawk eye and Joni
taught me to dance
The dance of the shaking keys
Different status's same margins of collar and trance
Hawk eye and Joni taught me to dance
Real still time to trim crime fat chance
Lift the thoughts a picnic of toler-ance
Bee Gees at the roller rink
Joni Mitchell with her genius iconic Ink
Running circles around constricted culture
Driving substance into something that was all show
We are at the setting of her dream
A memory to glow and light shining bright as a star
Always shining bright as stardust falls
Joni gave us a soundtrack during our growth
Where passion inspires A pin dropped
Dropped a heist on fate
The pain the fear sequestered by hope
Born to bring the song and our spirits higher
You bring the light that sparks our desire

Gonna lay down my burdens
by the river of life flowing out of me.
Gonna study war no more.

Gonna put on my long white robe
down in the depths of my heart
Gonna study war no more.

Gonna lay down my burdens
cause I'm in right out right up right down right
Gonna study war no more.

The doctors would always take turns
And Hawkeye would have his concerns
The nurse with hot lips
Was swinging her hips
Enticing the lonely Frank Burns

Mash

Give an hand to Corporal Klinger
Went to Korea, not to linger
He did give a damn
But to Uncle Sam
He doth bequeath his middle finger

reading means what...how

the words read...go fish
it's all in your head...concerned
worries are just...bait

a trap for...yourself
how then to expect...to see
mutations...within

responding's...response
to genetics...programming
basics...survival

everyone...follows
till an ending's within...sight
or sound...a music

that makes perfect...sense
a logics scale scent...again

Down In Westminster

?
I was down in Westminster the other night

and there I saw a most horrible sight.

I thought I saw a man without a head.

Cromwell? I asked, or a king long dead?

I then saw a dame with a horrid lurid glance,

not quite the sort you'd be asking for a dance.

If not Maggy, then who could it be?

I'm very sorry, mate. It's no use asking me,

Three weird sisters were there discussing Brexit.

One said leave it, and another tried to hex it.

What did I witness? Was this the 'monster mash,'

or just politicians as they made an awful hash?

A lanky hooded figure invited me in

with a croaky voice and a sinister grin.

My entry would be easy; of that I had no doubt,

but the problem would then have been: how to get out.

Was it all that talk of a 'backdrop'

 that made me hesitate?

When I got back home eventually,

it was very, very late.

Jellied Eels and Pie 'N' Mash

Jellied eels and pie n mash.
East London Fair, and that’s a fact.
The Dockers hands, and the pearly kings.
Their romance gone, the truth it stings.
The Bow Bells ring, they sound out loud.
Cockney chests, they puff out proud.
Not much left of old world London town.
Inside office blocks our city drowns.
The rhyming slang, used to confound.
It hid the truth, of lies abound.
The gifted few, they understood.
They kept those coppers under hood.
Up the Apples and pears, mind your plates of meat.
Meant up the stairs and watch your feet.
The law never knew, they couldn’t make it out.
We watched their faces and saw their doubt.
The slang we used was not just for fun.
It kept us on our toes, not on the run.
Old London's gone it has changed its face.
For better or worse it's now a different place.
We've had the rough. We've had the smooth.
This place has changed, with times it's moved.
Like or not this is London Town.
The times have changed, but she'll not let you down.
She'll take you in, she'll hold you tight.
Embrace her heart, enjoy the light.

When Frankenstein’s bride was created
The monster was surely elated
He asked her to dance
As he sought romance
To screams his poor ego deflated

Count Dracula surveyed the dance floor
He sought a mate sporting great pallor
“Morticia” stood out
He gave her a shout
But she brushed him off for the Centaur

Incredible Hulk had more luck though
A jolly green lady crooned, “Tango!”
Her gigantic Dad
Seemed perfectly glad
As he tossed green beans at the floor show

The evening sped by and all mated
No monster was sad or frustrated
The underworld king
Let his decree ring:
“May music play on unabated"

Mish-Mash Memories

What if smiling moon
Is brighter than the sun?
And the flakes of tumoil tend
To vile when fully regatherd

While i tame time my fab
I extricate by the vast drab
Of quality i fade for emptyness
The knobs of metaphor was

Red-hot and fickle fame flies
Off the vicinity of restless
Scimiter..ALAS! vile scimiter
Chill. Hot. Hate and lover

They all colide and positive
Wands lost the clasp of
Magical influence

Mash

Cameras connecting
you to the war
dialogue telling you
why and what for.

At the very moment your
eyes fill with tears
Someone says something funny
and you laugh with no fears.

A brilliant combination of
danger and love
Humanity portrayed
making you a part of.

This series that kept
you on the edge of your seat.
Evoking emotion
while soldiers compete.

I'd watch with my father
a man of the law.
He'd teach me the reason
people fight and then crawl.

I would escape into
the television set
Pretending I was no
rookie, but a vet.

Captain, Corporal
Father or Major
They made wartime bearable
so I'd watch and then wager.

Mash Mash Mash

I mash my potatos
Mash mash mash
Salt and pepper play
As the milk mingles with the butter
I twirl my fork to make a swirl in the creamy mixture
Mash mash mash
Taste so good
These mashed potatos
Hot garlic running inside
Playing hide and seek
With the fried skins of paradise
I love mashed potatos
Mash mash mash

The Monster Mash

< dancing to the hit song monster mash
frankenstein and werewolf got real smashed
                                took the witches culdeen
                                and boiled up mummys spleen
Quasimodo joined in on the bash

witches brew of brains spleens gizzards hearts
                                illuminates party from it's start
                                Dracula and zombies
                                lurking for free bodies
poor old frankie's wife just fell apart

the bewitching dance came to its end
when bats flew in frenzy around den
                               on this all hallows eve
                               trickery was up sleeve
sent my 3 black cats in to defend

Hawkeye has always been my favorite on the show..
His fast humor and love for life never let me go..
Pranks and joking spilled into my ways...
My friends and I would gather to watch every day...
As the same as me Hawkeye would cover up despair
with fast wit and humor..
Teasing a room mate or a start of a silly rumor...
A poker game with drinks and friends...
As I emulated the same with some drunken binges..
His huge heart for healing and not accepting death..
His critical voice of this horrible war portrayed in length...
Hidden behind humor and script the message got across..
Such a wonderful show of war and friendships at any cost..

The Monster Mash

The fog haunts,
The strobe taunts,
It’s time to start the show,
Pull back the mummified curtain,
Beware of bugs, birds, and black lights,
This is Halloween.
