Notes About The Poem

IF you feel like you sang any of these three songs in church, then maybe you did, or at least I did.  This is what happens to your brain when you are really tired but poetic ideas try to come inside.

Mash Up

Gonna lay down my burdens
by the river of life flowing out of me.
Gonna study war no more.

Gonna put on my long white robe
down in the depths of my heart
Gonna study war no more.

Gonna lay down my burdens
cause I'm in right out right up right down right
Gonna study war no more.

So much joy in the world to celebrate. We need to focus... :)

In the realm of scholarly pursuits, Miranda, the exploration of life and love undoubtedly takes precedence. Yet, we cannot dismiss the perpetual presence of warfare, an innate aspect of humanity that engenders an overwhelming sense of hopelessness and anguish. Paradoxically, within the depths of conflict, there exists a silver lining, for it is amidst these tumultuous battles that humankind has often unearthed groundbreaking discoveries, shaping the course of our collective history.

Sounds like a good move to me, Miranda. Life and Love are much better topic to study. Smiles ~ Blessings, my friend. Bill

I absolutely love the Back to the Future trilogy, but it has nothing to do with this poem. You are right that life and love are better topics than war, and I mean from any standpoint possible.

I don't listen to any news, where there are wars and corruption. Your poem is succinct and much to the point. Blessings.

Sometimes those wars look like Fox News vs CNN. Anyways thank you.
