verdant greenery
Summer Shining Splendour

Her skin drinks light like rivers take rain,
each dappled edge and sun-struck curve,
a landscape under my hands, soft yet severe,
where desire meets the edge of breath.
Fingers trace the small hollows of her hip,
catching sunlight in each soft valley,
dipping, trembling, as if they might slip
into some dark, endless tenderness.
She is a map of quiet fires,
a fever I can barely hold.
I find her pulse in the hush of thighs,
the places where words lose themselves.
My mouth opens to meet her skin,
each kiss a tender bruise of ache,
pressed and perfect, lush as wine
that fills, that floods, till reason splits.
We break where passion's blinding flares,
colliding in waves of sweet surrender,
so fierce the ache it stings like glass,
we drink of each other, ravenous, undone.
In the silence after, breath upon breath,
her skin still glows with sunlit trace,
and I am carved by the strength of her
in places I never knew could break.

nestled sleepily

verdant cul-de-sac
Plain and green sight
Feeling peaceful
Rainy smell.
Rhododendron poof
and purple fumes fill my world
Lavish, rich nature.
Maroon like the dawn of days
greeting the sun's honey glaze.
Saffron finch descends
to join the elegant crowd
vast and varying
in colors of the rainbow
that keep me at the window.
Along the crimson hue of the eve,
You and I; let us leave.
Aside the glassy, serene sea
You and I, we shall flee.
Peeping the enigmatic sky, so high
You and I, we'll fly.
Your gleaming eyes, "let me caress"
You and I, we'll immerse.
Through the lush-green hopeful days, we'll chirp
You and I; the lovebirds.
As if a new garment to wear
Man leaves this planet, his hands bare,
Mere visitors all earthlings are
And may not return to this star,
And yet, with verdant green envy
Alas, his eyes no farther see
Than neighbour's green garden— not far.

Dawn
awakes
bright cities
deep moonlit snooze
when autumn pageant’s
covert vanishing trail
exits on the sly behind
a stoic gem plinth while cheerful
denizens asses black grain pepper
clouds afloat as dark cobalt skylines watch
Gust
chill noon
might sense its
life hub platform
shiver between months
October curtain may
droop o’er high-speed dream chaser
without some red orb scintilla
or the faraway treasure trove break
from taut humdrum routine office zeitgeist
Oak
and ash
or cherry
trees in the shade
adding splashes of
colour to town verges
between day long transitions
kaleidoscope on sweet gum hue
orange, red, burgundy foliage
caress tired eyes of street inhabitants
Light
swaying
lantern’s arc
cast magic tints
at high jinx urban
throngs inside and those who
loiter on the coffee dock
margins awestruck by picture perfect
fall where countryside meets asphalt sprawl hub
Bold iris beauty
expressing passionate words
amid crunchy beds
"Lush Ocean"
I wade out into you
embrace the cool of you
to die a little death
immersed in the ocean
that is you, drowning
in the indigo velvet
of your copulating
embrace
red becomes you
as your waves crest
into and over me
I draw you into me
far from our other worlds
where dissonant siren voices drown

among huge red blooms
ornamental grasses wave
fleecy clouds wander
drowsing in fierce sun
very fragrant snowball bush
greenest grass carpets
purple peonies
shaded by cream sunflowers
when plum sun passes
heard he is a lush
went to bar which will be plush
there puppy will hush
Ethereal beauty arrives every spring,
Earthworms and puddles gentle rains bring.
Soon we’ll meet butterfly and honeybee.
Verdant lush grasses everywhere that I see.
Joy and happiness parade in my happy heart.
Not ready for planting but this is a start.
I begin to make my famous sweet berry tea.
Verdant lush grasses everywhere that I see.
Daffodils pop up, say a quick hello!
Baby animals everywhere that I go.
A child laughs as she swings from a tree.
Verdant lush grasses everywhere that I see.
When the orchard grows deeply lush
filling all rows with grapes
etched by dusk like a bold paintbrush,
I trace its outline’s silhouette
and rove along this patch
Where quarter moon draws a vignette
as leafage unfurl like coiled frills
showing off plump of red …
fruits ripe turned into wine on mills
nectar releasing piquant scent--
A harvest which imbues
Nature, her life- giving intent.
