Premium Member The Spy Who Loves Me & the Hungarians

I was sitting in sub-zero temperatures in the Northern Arctic
As one does when you're a Swedish spy
Caught between conflicting ethical codes...
Stuck in my tent I stumbled upon a poem
Pondering the experience of Hot British Tea.
The poem was long and decorous with adjectives.
My lips were stuck and frosted together in parts
As I murmured along with teeth chattering
With the rhythm of an African cheetah.
Though the words buttered into my soul.
"Steep," "simmering," "piping," and "warming"
Warmed my innards and radiated outward,
The imagination muscling forth the reality.
"SNIP!"
"SNIP!"
"SNIP!"
Crikey. Long-ranged silencers. I've been found.
(Hungarians.)
"SNIP!"
"SNIP!"

Echoes of The Midnight Loves

Your dress dazzling bright, my mind flying high, like a kite.
Beyond the clouds, into the starry night,
To meet the goddess’ might. Though, she just intends to fright.
Even with her pearly white light, her life is naught, but to plight.
However, I myself cannot seem to become her light, in the darkness of night.

Premium Member Sun Loves Again

Under the moon
Under the sun
Sun produce life
Sun burns life
Life is on a cycle
Life is already written
Written villains
Written heroes
Heroes of the past
Heroes of the future
Future wars
Future birth
Birth of a nation
Birth to chaos
Chaos is a gift
Chaos is allowed
Allowed to bring change
Allowed to bring peace
Peace through confusion
Peace through understanding
Understanding life is full of wonder
Understanding life is beautiful
Beautiful creations
Beautiful people
People of the corn
People of this earth
Earth is dying
Earth will live
Live with possibilities
Live judgment free
Free spirit
Free love
Love the journey
Love God
God is with us
God has a story
Story of an ending
Story of a beginning
Beginning of fire
Beginning of a new world
World of peace
World of screams
Screams of pride
Screams of joy
Joy over fear
Joy comes again
Again we play
Again we shine
Shine

LOVES

Loves you have the power, the power to win, the power to create and live without sin.
Loves you are the one, the one that can change all of your life, life is a blessing, life is your gift so use it to all of its glory and carry it forward with all of your spirit.
Loves if you fall, do not give up, remember falling is part of learning, so get up and try again.
Loves life will be hard, it may be to easy, it may be boring, it may leave you in shock, but remember you have choices so learn, give, love, forgive and move forward.
Love I wish you well on your journey through this life, may all of your days be bright with light and blessings.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always.

Children's Poem:The Dancing Wind

The wind blows softly
through the trees,
It shakes the pretty green-
out leaves,
And plays with butterflies
and bees.

Child Who Loves Their Father

My Dad,
He's a guy.
I found out he has a Mum too.
She said he was little like me once!
Being a man,
Is it something I choose?
It looks tiring.
My Dad,
He has these kind eyes,
He let's me have a go, first...
Then he steps in as a guide.
He knows that I watch him...
I think that sometimes that stresses him out.
He tries to be the best for me.
The very best that he can...
He does so well,
I want to shout:

"I love you Dad! I love you Dad"
He's so more than enough
His heart is sooo big,
He doesn't need to act tough.
He keeps us safe and warm,
And he hugs us tight...
It feels really special,
When my Dad says goodnight.
I am small, just for now.
One day I'll be like my Dad, but like me.
He's everything in one,
The best friend I ever had.
You'll see!

Premium Member She loves whatever I text her

She loves whatever I text her.
I could text,
"Got in a car wreck this morning"
and her first response would be,
"Loved 'Got in a car wreck this morning'"

Then she'd text, "OMG. You alright?"
followed by a few heart emojis.

Oh, those damned, emotionless heart emojis.
Why can't just end the text by saying, "I love you"?

Premium Member COSMIC EMBRACE -:- Frida Kahlo

I dive headfirst into Masonite’s wood fibers
 compressed baked & primed
blending boundaries of life,
lightning and death’s
cycle of pain in paint
as a path to tranquility treading
through inner turmoil of vibrancy
A hummingbird in her shell breaks away
the triaged torment
for a moment, quietus cabaret on
cacti untamed canvas
conveys an observer in one’s
own collard greens
Tehuana traditional gown
from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec
ripe reds & burnt orange

Oiled in, the gods Xolotl,
 guard dog portrayed
Aztec god & fertility goddess
Motherly milky way
flanking figures,
a fiery orb of the sun
& the cool, silvery moon
dualities of balance

Fresco muralist Diego Rivera
cuddled infantile by Kahlo,
adorns a frontal lobe’s
opened third eye
& wears Buddha’s mouth
 apprises of oriental wisdom
both his & hers
 naïve folk art
enveloped in a cosmic
love embrace of the universe

Premium Member When Your Best Friend Loves a Dud

If your best mate loves a dud,
Bite your tongue — spit the blood;
Truth may feel like noble rot,
But that's the lot that you've got.

Can’t stand your best friend’s other half?
Then practice your best polite stage-laugh;
For love has traps beneath sweet flowers,
And sulks have lasting corrosive powers.

Just roll your eyes, with subtle disdain,
Meet one-by-one when you meet again;
Keep the jokes in coat of armor's chain,
Lest your friendship starts to wane.

You thought, this crush will surely fluff,
Your friendship was built of stronger stuff.
You've tried all sorts of biff and bluff—
But turns it out your silly sass was not enough.

So grit your teeth, send sighs into the air,
With a perfect vacant and distant stare;
To the grim and glum, just give a nod and hum,
Let your soul settle gently, slack and numb.

For while honesty may feel divine,
Tact’s the shovel needed in this mine;
Say just what seems so nice, then look away—
To live in peace to savor one more day.

I don’t think he loves me anymore

He doesn’t care how I feel,
As long as he’s okay,
He ups and leaves,
When he doesn’t get his own way,

He turns everything into a huge deal,
When it doesn’t need to be,
Working himself up,
Then being really mean,

I made plans for his birthday,
So he could be free,
But since he learned of them,
He just seems to hate me,

He would rather be anywhere else,
Not with me,
Everyday brings another excuse,
For him to pack his stuff and leave,

I told him I’m lonely,
He doesn’t seem to care,
And when I talk about how I feel,
I’m met with a blank stare,

Honestly I’m sad,
A feeling so poor,
But is it so bad,
That I don’t think he loves me anymore?
