Where Passion Sets the Night Ablaze

There’s a fire that needs no flame,
A silent spark that calls your name,
A glance that lingers, hearts that race,
Two souls drawn closer into space.

The world grows quiet, time stands still,
As anticipation bends the will.
A whispered word, a trembling sigh,
A thousand feelings passing by.

It’s in the warmth of being near,
The kind of closeness that makes everything disappear.
No words are needed, none are planned,
Just the electricity of a gentle hand.

Passion isn't merely heat or desire,
It’s two hearts feeding the same fire.
It’s trust, connection, and letting go,
A language only two can know.

And then the heart gives way completely—
No walls remain, no distance between me.
For one breathtaking moment, nothing matters
But knowing you are here, and I am seen.

The noise of the world falls far away,
And every guarded feeling finds its place.
What began as a spark becomes something true—
A profound, trembling certainty of you.

And when the moment fades away,
Its echo lingers into day—
Not merely as a memory of the night,
But as a feeling that still carries light.

The Happiest Frivol

Dusk
brings a sense of calm
Sultry tones of his laugh
rent my headspace
Wrap around my fingers
like a lightning rod
Flush my face with fantasies
but none are rated family
And my juvenile self wonders
What it's like
to be consumed by love...

I think I'm close.

I for one
I’m being strangled
by the radiance of his half-life essence.
Ubiquitous beauty,
bleeding through my AMOLED screen.
To truly appreciate it
I need this in 4D.
4D? Why not 3D?
Because... for me
I want to exist beside his.
If my beginning and end are the same,
I’d want them both to have his.
And if I spent it all for his
I’d be the happiest frivol.

Premium Member My September

My September a promise I forever remember
those smiling blue eyes never would lie
Never never of my September

She knows to her I am rather fond
She knows to her my heart belongs
She never lets me know for sure
She laughs before I hear those words

Love me my September
be with me forever and all
for life and after
Love me my September

Pluck a petal of a rose
she loves me
pull another let it go
she loves me not
till only one left
answer already known

My September a promise fondly remembered
another she loves not me
with love how it can be
But the night has a silver moon
and it lights the beauty of my June
My June smitten in love under our silvery moon...

LOVE YOU

Love is all the moments spent with you like flowers blooming you make everything feel so true.
Love is all the kisses from you like the rain coming down, beautiful like a new morning.
Love is all the smiles from you, they make each moment feel new.
Love is all the joy you bring you make every day happier.
Love you.

Premium Member I Knew You

I knew you when I first met you
I knew you just by looking into your eyes
Your eyes held my attention
Your smile would not let me go
I fell in love with you
Before you even spoke
We sat and talked for hours
Slowly our time was coming to an end
And I didn’t want the afternoon to stop
Because I knew you
And I would be apart again.
Our lives just would not work in this life
My heart was breaking because I knew you
Fate was being cruel to us
We didn’t even stand a chance
As much as we cared for each other
Forces were keeping us apart
No matter how hard we tried
We could not make it work
We had to say goodbye
But I am so glad I knew you

Premium Member Romeo’s Drowning

Glistening moonlight casts a grey veil,
shining down on the boy afloat in a river.
Alone with thoughts, voices that aren’t his.

They cannot give you what you seek
The good ones are gone,
The bad ones are everywhere.

Meaningful devotion,
starving for connection.
Denied entry at hearts red gates

I’ve watched you from your cowardly eyes.
Struggling to find her,
while the world tries to make you choose.

Love is a weakness,
it’s choking you.
Sink into the darkness.

Summer Nights

By the sea we met,
Sparkling waves that ebbed and flowed,
Music for our love.

And time ticked by

Talking to thin air time ticked by,
Waiting on despair, time ticked by.

Suffering the grief as my share---
A fate never rare, time ticked by.

She came or not, it matters little,
Be it fair, unfair, time ticked by.

I’d have spent time on the divine,
But musing on her, time ticked by.

Same ardour could have got me God,
In doubt if she care, time ticked by.

It might have looked like a prayer,
Staring blank in air, time ticked by.

Past teaches too little in love,
In mirage-like snare, time ticked by.

Ghazal | 09.08.2026 | frustration, love, romance, time, waiting

Note: A bit melancholic, this ghazal captures the agony of waiting. It also touches on the conflict between divine and earthly love (known in Urdu as Ishq-e-Haqeeqi vs Ishq-e-Majazi. The refrain (Radif) used is: ‘time ticked by’, and the rhyming words (Qafia) are: (air, despair, share, rare, unfair, her, care, snare). The introductory first couplet (sher) is called matlaa. A ghazal often ends with a maktaa that includes the poet’s pen name (takhallus), but not my ghazals.

Enthralled By Those Eyes

Please note, it is for Let's Do It ! Poetry Contest of Nette Onclaud, Aug. 11, 2026.

I expected to see you
In the mild nice field of rice
Yet, I saw that neat cute cat
gave me a nice wink!

I came alive when we met.
You were energized with life.
Your love gave new life to me.
Me, you, life, and love.

Clarity pyramid - BANG

BANG
                     Shabang
                 Down the can

         West winds blow away
Thought you were here to stay
      Just like that gone anyway

I love you and someday, we"ll be together.
But tonight, separate rooms will be better.
We will spend the night, but separately.
Our precious love will wait patiently.
We'll dine and get two rooms later.

Quiet Love

Your smile begins where mornings bloom,

And fills my silent heart with bloom.

One gentle glance, one whispered sigh,

And suddenly my dreams can fly.

Your voice, a song the stars still know,

It teaches restless hearts to glow.

And if the world should fade from view,

My soul would still find home

Two Hearts, One Horizon

Two hearts awaken to a single song,
A quiet promise they have known all along.
No borrowed dream, no passing fire—
Only the gentle rise of shared desire.
They move as rivers meeting at the sea,
Each finding more in what the other sees.
Not copies, but reflections softly cast,
Two souls embracing future, present, past.
Their love unfolds like blossoms after rain,
Growing stronger through both joy and pain.
Within its shade, no fear can take its place;
Only truth, and tenderness, and grace.
When silence falls, their eyes still speak,
A language only faithful hearts can keep.
Hand in hand, through every changing season,
They find in one another every reason.
So let the stars bear witness from above:
The strongest hearts are shaped by quiet love.
Two kindred spirits, timeless and free,
Writing forever what love was meant to be

Hug

a written hug from
a nice right beloved puts
the all stress away

that a written hug
what about the real hug!?
I'd leave it to you
