My Story

My name's ANGIE, are you listening?
I grew up listening to that group called Rolling Stones
I was told you're wasting your time by dreaming
They never knew how harsh they were with those tones. 
YOU CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT
Words they thought were normal for dreamers
I didn't see why not, nothing could stop that
Until one RUBY

Decay is the new Love

Look out for the flickering lights;
I heard some glass shattering
shards geting swallowed in the hurricane's tyranny
and tyranny pleading at patriarchy's feet.

Look out for the desparation;
penetrating out of familiar, rough gilded eyes
flowers wrapped in hands withering over time
and love swirling among the rusted frames
   of oldest bus stand of town.

The sound of wheels on tarmac
Keeps me focused
Keeps me grounded
Keeps me present

The sound of wheels on tarmac
Takes me farther and farther away
From everything I have ever known
Chained up like a worthless dog

Reminds me that rebellion
Always comes at a price
You just have to decide if it’s worth the prize

Hope was there for a long time...
Creeped several efforts to climb

I don't know what to do, I don't know where to start
they've told me I've got cancer and it's torn my world apart
they told me they could treat it, but they had to operate

Blatant chaos. Colorful lights mark our path.
Distant waves confuse my sight.
Heads driven into madness, minds broken.
Avoiding the edge. Lost in silence we found our souls.
Vibes of mint and echoes of lemon.
Wake from your dream, I am deeply amused.
Venting ash from cosmic depressions.
Quantum fear descends the tension.
Life is great, I have learned my lesson.

I'm Not Perfect

I’m so far from perfect.
Sometimes, I let fears discourage me.
Many times, I let shadows worry me.
Sometimes, I let the tears fall silently.
Other times, I can’t seem to find a way to breathe…
Through the pain, the dread, the dismay,
All those things that make me feel so much shame.

I’m so far from perfect, you see!
There are days

Lost Hope

Oh, say can you see,
  All the dead by the sea?
  What so proudly we hailed,
  Now we put them in jail!
  And the dawns early light,
  Obviously, there's been a fight!
  With AR15s,
  We've sent a lot to heaven!
  Who's broad stripes,
  And bright stars,

So Many Men Who Take

So many men who take
And in doing so cause damage and Heart break 
To women who must put the pieces back together
They rise up from the pain
They start looking once again
In the stormy weather
For this beautiful thing called love
They rise above 
The pain
With new hope again 

Only to meet the same or worse calibre as

How a Snake Lost Hope

I saw 
some mouses 
and
Two multicoulored 
snakes.

The snakes 
Hunted
The mouses.

After seeing those 
Two venomous
And dangerous  
Reptiles , 

I stoped
Labouring the ground 
To chase the snakes.

Luckly one of
Them failed
Into my hands.

It was a victim
With 
No hope to survive 
As it always
Known 
Dangerous 
Animal in many 
Rural communities.
One man took it 
To the far bush,

We are victims
Tied with  common fetters 
Loosed in thoughts of varied choices and desires
Loosely searching to make ends meet:
The meeting at this spot,
Either to go or stay, is a choice.

We are victims
Of the policies of pain
Emitted to drive us crazy, 
We are on the street , though not crazy.
Destroying our common patrimony.

May be, something better is coming 
As the roadblocks are growing 

Although, it's demanding a lot
And I feel like i am totally lost
But may be its the cost
So that, later on I won't be mocked

Yes, it sucks
When it's not working
When it's continuously hurting 
When most of it seems worthless
Rendering me clueless

How is it my fault that I took a leap of faith 
Like any naive girl in townships looking for good life
I mixed with wrong people who promised me soft life in Dubai 
Excitement journeyed my mind to things I can buy
Little did I know I was sold a lie

Sunsets Lost Hope

Slowly she creeps
into the hearts
into the minds
into the mist
of fleeing sun.
Hiding the sheen
of dappled doe
masking the eyes
of prey and foe.
Holding for ransom
a thin moon’s hope
as puppeteer stars
stringlessly float
under canopied darkness
of sunset’s lost hope.
