Lost Hope

Oh, say can you see,
All the dead by the sea?
  What so proudly we hailed,
Now we put them in jail!
  And the dawns early light,
  Obviously, there's been a fight!
  With AR15s,
We've sent a lot to heaven!
  Who's broad stripes,
  And bright stars,
Carry us through our drug filled night!
  Over the ramparts we watched,
  As our country was lost.
  And the rockets' red glare,
We tried to keep over there.
Over the land of the free,
As I went on bended knee.
  The homeless abound,
  All over the ground!
  Oh, say can you see,
What it means to be free?
  And the dawns early light,
  Has put people in flight.
Away from the cities with murder every night!
  My friends all agree,
This is part of being free!
