she livened the world
with her songs
one day the hippo
heard her sing
he looked up
and insulted her beak
she stared at her reflection
in the water
the hippo was right
she was one ugly fowl
she was one ungifted bird
she swore never to come out again
she swore never to sing again
while she sits still
the world is silent
waiting for nightingale
to sing
He was skinny as a rail
Dared not put him on a scale
He grew much fatter
Didn’t seem to matter
I knew that he could not fail
~
She livened every party
Always knew she was hearty
She wailed when over
Like she was rover
Howls making her a smarty
~
I left him there in the past
Despite all that he had asked
Begging me to stay
Had to make him pay
Leaving had to be done fast
Yes, I love beer
And beer loves me,
We’re as thick as thieves
As honey is to bees.
I can’t help but wonder
What life would be
Without this golden amber,
Not a world I’d like to see.
Every sip a luscious joy,
Food for body, mind and soul,
It warms in winter, cools when hot,
As water is to ice, as fire adores its coal.
But now they claim it hampered,
My judgement in my youth,
A baseless common slander,
Insulting and uncouth.
A lifetime spent in service,
As a bastion of the law,
A judge regaled with honor,
Not just a man of straw.
So what I had a tipple
And sometimes a few more,
It livened up the party,
With a drink I so adore.
As to these accusations
That somehow I blacked out
I just can’t help but wonder,
How folks could not this doubt.
A father and a husband,
A friend to countless girls,
A man of faith and principle,
Tarnished by innuendo’s swirls.
So let this be a lesson
To all young pups today,
Consider each and every action,
Beware of what posterity may say.
Rescue me, eyes of fire
Fill me with your livened blaze
Dress me in a star’s attire
Awaken me from this shimmering daze.
Pave me a trail of your warm golden glow
Guide me with your foreseeing light
Warm my veins that they don’t slow
And ease my mind from its pressing fight.
With a glance, set my soul ablaze
Boil my soul ‘till the pains tire
Ignite my heart and better my days
Show me your gaze, eyes of fire.
Nature's Goddess Came To Greet
I stood upon a new dawn
When life was on the mend
And Spring burst in my heart
Nature's glory became my friend
Night stars and moon gave delight
As if life commanded this show
Brilliant rays cast upon the trees
A movie brightened dark the night
The forest spoke its worth
Creatures danced in sweet time
A pulse livened the glowing scene
Death and birth both sublime
Earth sent spirits to reveal
Stardust lying, lightly all around
Sights and sounds marvelous to behold
Mysteries slept in time surreal
Blast of knowledge entered in haste
Trees spoke with renewed vigor
Nightbirds sang in softened tunes
She appeared a glowing figure
Nature's goddess came to greet
Lowly man now most confused
A gift rarely ever given man
Goddess showering presents at man's feet
Set deep in this majestic night dream
Earth, Man and Nature eternally a team

I was deserted by fun
Locked in a lonely world
Looked upon like a clown
My heart was then cold
Then out of emptiness, yet bountiful
You emerged so graceful.
With your sweet charms
You entered my world
With those paralysing smiles of yours
You pulverised my crumbling world
You laid foundation for another
The greatest in heavenly uniqueness' order
The world seems yours
You turn it around so easily
You must be one of those three sisters
'Cos you manipulate fate so easily
You've washed anew being
You must be an angelic being.
The way you swept away my sorrows
And made sweet my tomorrows
Left me wondering
Reminiscing
Thinking much about you
Loving you.
I feel so on top of the universe
Ever since you graced my world
You've livened my world's romance
And distant my heart from cold
Queen of my heart
I love you with all my heart.
My eyes they tell the truth, the story of my life
Of both relentless selfishness and utter sacrifice
My eyes they tell the story of both love and hate
Of peaceful perfect bliss and wrenching heart ache
My eyes they tell the story of a tender youth
The bags that carry the weight of hurtful hidden truths
My eyes they tell the story of both guilt and innocence
Dimed by depression and livened by enlightenment
My eyes they tell the story of both honesty and lies
A roadmap leading to genuineness can be found within the lines
My eyes they tell the story of the real me
Revealing the true beauty of my authenticity
My eyes they tell the story of both pain and happiness
A tale of agony and a fairy tale of bliss
My eyes they tell the story of my longing to be free
They are the windows to my soul and they expose the inner me.
This time that comes between us,
I hate the most.
It drags through the dy.
A black cloud overhead,
time standing still.
The time we are together
flies so fast.
A whilrlwind, over too quickly
and always leaves me sad
and longing for you.
This desire I have
to be with you
is like the air in my lungs.
You are more than a desire
you are a necessity.
My soul is livened
by your brilliant smile.
Your voice, carries on the wind
whistling in my ear.
I ask how this can be
one I've known for
such a short time.
Is this Love?
Infatuation?
Of that, I'm not sure
but I will be seeking the answer,
with you.
along the beginning
of time, life has had its
beginning, it is imperfect
it is saddened by life
but it is livened by truth.
along the beginning
things show truth
beyond what
we see
as normal.
Whenever I think of you
it's like the sun shining through a storm.
I can see the cloudiness,
I feel enveloped by a warmth.
Whenever I think of you
it's like the moon is full for me.
There are no other people,
its shine is only for me to see.
Whenever I think of you
it's like the flowers are all in bloom.
There's never, ever a wilt,
I wear them as a plume.
Whenever I think of you
it's like every fruit has ripened.
Their nectar tastes all the sweeter,
my taste buds are all livened.
Whenever I think of you,
it's like I cannot think at all.
My mind becomes disheveled,
my body listens to my heart.
