Biography

My name is Eshe Benson. I wear many hats. I’m a mother, wife, poet, inspirational blogger, and entrepreneur.

Hailing from a tiny Kenyan village where a good education was only possible for a few privileged villagers, I refused to let the odds that were stacked up against me stand in my way. I went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree, a Doctorate and two post-graduate diplomas.

Additionally, my passion for empowerment and poetry led me to create two illustrated poetry books: “Thorns in Her Flesh” and “Salt and Gravity”. These I believe are the first among many.

I am on a lifelong mission to inspire, empower, uplift, and entertain people through the power of poetry. Through my poetry, I strive to shift rigid perspectives and paradigms that no longer serve humanity.

When I am not pouring my heart out onto paper or a computer screen, I love reading, traveling, dancing, and cooking.
