A Pope
Brings forth hope
But a kaiser
Spews hate and horror
A Pope
Spreads peace
In the north, south, west and east
But a prideful mope like a squalid dope
Spits horrors and terrors
And starts fights and wars
A peaceful person de-escalates
But a belligerent bully booms, inflates
And explodes like a lost missile
Which acts like a cussed imbecile
A real leader
Never follows an oppressor
Yet a follower is a master loser
Who lies about everything
Even when the sun is shining
A Pope
Offers love and hope
But a loser displays no compassion
No sympathy and no comprehension.

Every revolution ever
Devised by the most clever
From the rot, they sever
And souls naive
Of anew, believe
Assuming it not too far gone
To rectify all that’s wrong
They must be ready to stand up, then
For combat in the villain’s den
And although it is not as mighty
The sword decides who holds the pen
Yet history provides a warning
And the idealist may end up mourning
For those without a Machiavellian trait
Are warriors destined for a tragic fate
As it seems that thoroughly good men
Will never be esteemed as great
Those who gain control may revise the theme
Drifting ever further from the dream
Men of puerile mind
To knives are blind
And that vision once so fabled
Destroyed by some, we many enabled
On reflection, it makes the morose sigh
When they hear that brave man’s cry
“We serve neither King nor Kaiser”
Acting as a battle galvaniser
Due to the fact that ‘ad finem’
There’s superficial change achieved since then
And all of us are none the wiser
A father calls about the grand hall for his daughters.
His premonitions serve him well, as Ana answers in due time.
He tells her to tell her sisters that they are going to
England, to visit their cousins. King George V found them
to be pompous, a decision he'll later regret.
WWI was spreading talks before they returned home.
King George V of Great Britain and Tsar Nicholas II of
Russia himself were on one hand, and Kaiser Wilhelm II
of Germany on the other – were first cousins? Their
grandmother was Queen Victoria.
All suffered great losses, but the Romanoff's suffered the
most. They lost their crowns and were imprisoned for a
long time. Later, they were led to a basement of chairs,
as they closed the door. Bolsheviks burst in, and after a
small speech, Ana held the older sister Olga as they fired
their pistol into the Romanoff's family and their doctor.
VANITY REBORN
Vanity.
Long locks of luxury
Taken, as
Delilah
Stole strength
From Samson
Without asking,
He was unwilling.
He did not know
His strength lay not in
The beauty of his hair
But rather by the
Heavens in his soul,
Until he was tested and
Shocked by life’s
Bawdy insistence that
He lose it, that
Vanity need be replaced with
New growth,
New realities,
New beauty.

The rivers must have stories to tell of years that they have seen life go by. Rabbits that frequent the shores and ducks that quack their way through! my shoes have left imprints on the ground due to rains from night before. Scent of flowers in the morning fresh air attracts lovers from all species around!

Oh man! Just go out and see, nature has created a picturesque scenery. Tree are birthing leaves, fruits and flowers. It is green and colourful. Light breeze is blowing, birds are mating, sun is warm and welcoming. Flowers are dancing to the tune of wind, birds are singing melodic music to woo their mates. Watch exquisitely crafted butterflies fluttering by, observe how they drink nectar from flowers. Bumblebee is busy collecting honey. In trees, squirrels can be seen scampering. Look for nests, small fragile young ones, featherless beauties, mother feeds them with her beak. Watch the changing colours of sun, shimmering noon, unobscured by clouds. Shut down your electronic devices, go out and enjoy. Collect as many wonderful memories as possible. Life is short, tomorrow uncertain!

Spring will forever be the time for renewals when brisk fresh air invigorates our drowsy muse. Tickling every inner child, beckoning them to come out for a playdate. And ever so gleefully we crack open the treasure chest of possibilities, dust it off to see what gems we can uncover.

I want a freshly baked kaiser roll
Sliced in two with nice lean roast beef
Laid between so I can call it sandwich
Swiss cheese, tomato, Vidalia onion
(Sliced not chopped) with a dab of mayo
And horseradish sauce or hollandaise
Vinegar/salt chips and crisp dill pickle
I have no money or tummy only me
Alone with my empty ceramic center
Dangling on the rail of a high rise complex
Waiting for a breeze to push me on or off
I am a pretty pink vase so have mercy on me
No ferns or flowers inside for company
I am hungry for something good to eat
Curios but mostly epicurious in nature
Give me a sandwich for free as a favor
Perhaps I can pay you back on Tuesday
I can wish for something different
Vases have dreams too to fill the hollow
How many sons
have we lost
How many demons
have we found
How many graves
must we dig
To make the ‘Fatherland’
proud
(Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2016)
Even though each head may be hollow,
God forever and always we shall follow;
For you quick,
Horn limerick;
In His love want to wallow and wallow.
