When a loved one commits suicide NO ONE wants to talk about it
Not about the person, the pain, the act,
they avoid it like the plague
Just because my son took his own life,
does not mean he was not a special person
HE was a kind, loving, giving human being
Just because he took his own life does not mean
he does not deserve to be remembered-
He does deserve for his name to be spoken
Just because he took his own life, does not
mean that I don't miss him with every fiber of
my being, I do and I wish it could have been different
Just because he took his own life, it does not mean
that I wish the situation were the same as when he was
alive, I do not, he was suffering from extreme illness and
I only want wholeness and peace for him, which I believe
he has achieved. But I will NOT avoid talking about suicide
and trying to DO SOMETHING about it, because it is a
painful terrible thing and it will not be stopped until
people talk about it and DO SOMETHING!
Compassion within
reflected by each kind deed
done with loving thoughts
and good will toward strangers
without expecting reward.
Just because I don't post
Doesn't mean I don't write
Just because I don't publish
I still have dreams at night
Just because it's unspoken
Doesn't mean that I don't
Just because you won't say it
Doesn't mean that I won't
Just because I may want to
Doesn't mean that I would
Just because I still love you
Doesn't mean that I should
The things that we want
Sometimes we don't get
Just because we don't see
The plan fully yet
There's no harm in keeping
The flame still alive
In case I do make it
To one hundred and five
Good taste

Just Because
It's A Stranger
'Just Because'
That Just Is.
Just Because:
This Happens Here,
This Happens There...
In Ordered
Essential
Fundamental
Pairs.
Always,
Everywhere,
Constantly...
Perfection Maintained.
Unseeable,
Unseen...
Without It:
There Cannot
Be Change.
Without Change:
Nothing Can
Be.
Perfect.
Always.
Just Because.

Looking at a blank page is hard,
but often it doesn't take long
for the emotions boiling inside
to make their way out and
fill the page with sorrow, pain,
fear, hope, and finally joy
Because life is a mixture that brews
every day. I take it moment
by moment and refuse to let the
dark moments overshadow the light
even if I have to go searching for them
because I was made to soak in the good
things in life like a sunflower growing
toward the sun and soaking in it's rays
The contest I want to enter is called Just Because,
I thought about it and took a pause.
Today is a great day just because
I can go put flowers in a vase,
Listen to music of a legend so great,
Play tic-tac-toe with my soul mate.
Ponder the mysteries of life,
Put high heels on to greet the nightlife,
Sway to the rhythm of the music and feel the beat,
Or eat a piece of apple pie so divinely sweet.
Snuggle with man’s best friend, my furry little puppy,
I can sit on a bench and watch people go by, happy-go-lucky.
Savouring the moment and seizing the day,
Dreaming of destinations so far away.
What a wonderful concept this mind can be—
We can agree to disagree,
Be logical and fight the good fight,
Put your thoughts down on paper and write,
Just because.
We applaud
You.
Just because I like, I must write :
Creation cum recreation !
Trying to make my writings bright,
enjoying own composition.
I wish to venture broad spectrum ,
Just because I like, I must write.
Features, fictions, poems ! Random .
Dramas , text books, my programs tight.
Devoted to work day and night,
exploring through various fields.
Just because I like, I must write,
multi activities to yield.
Passing days on satisfaction.
Thoughts and ideas showing light..
Writing is nicest temptation :
Just because I like, I must write.
If I can drive, I do not walk.
I no more write letters; by cell phone I talk.
I sometimes hide dirt under the rug.
Most things in my house I do not unplug.
I like my clothing permanent pressed,
and I go to bed sometimes not undressed.
Fun things I do most of the day
by putting things off so I can play.
Dishes pile up inside my sink.
I take out the garbage when it starts to stink.
Chores can wait till the house drives me crazy.
I do all these things
just because . . .
I am lazy.
Playing hopscotch.
After having butterscotch.
Landing on a square.
Wearing mismatched shoes, instead of a pair.
But still, feeling taunted.
Stones that trip me up, I never wanted,
There is rain now, too.
The sadness, we found true.
Indoors?
There is nothing galore.
But then a cat appears at the window.
A cat that I don't even know.
He wants away from the storm.
We let him in where it’s warm.
Then he plays his own game.
With some string he tries to tame.
Sure, we like hopscotch.
But we’d much rather watch-
A silly cat.
And the toy he tries to bat.
Even when the rain does end.
And the cat is done playing pretend.
I don’t know the point of this story, anyway.
Or if there is anything left to say.
Except that we have a new pet.
Who hates the vet.
Who likes to eat cheese?
He always says please.
And likes to cuddle.
But not splash in a puddle.
I guess we now have a cat?
And I guess that is that.
"I like to bring my imagination out in writing so you can bring your imagination out in reading." By Poet
I like to write just because poetry can live,
so my words can come to life with jive.
My ink will not be bound alive,
for it must write to survive.
Watch out for my crazy imagination,
it makes up my writing foundation.
Some days I even use meditation,
the paper will show my new creation.
I write for the reader,
I want them as my cheerleader.
My words fill their reading feeder,
so they can become a poetry eater.
Just because television is a bore
writing a poem is less a chore
I can live in a scribble where words soar
Minds that ripple the universe forevermore
Because I am envious of your style
Yours is limitless like silver smile
You are cool like a sculptured rock
Turquoise jewel of classic hip hop
Because I think too much all the time
And want your attention is that a crime
I have no privacy in my purple pages
For ink bleeds are my sacrificial sages
Because you are dark and I am light
Within our red hearts we unite
You build bridges despite dilemma and frown
You lift others up when they are down
Because you've been hungry you feed others
Because not for religion but for the brothers
You march to the beat of your own drum
Because you do others are inspired to come
You think outside the box
You were born from classic rock
Because there is music in your walk
We all lose it when you talk
Because your words can bring peace
Like black bird with a song to sing
Your ancestors were kings queens unique
I love your swag and black destiny
I have no theme, no muse, no just cause or aim.
Untouched by reason, no spark nor any flame.
Yet still the words flow, kindled all the same,
By the sheer love of words and the games they play.
My poet's head is full of words churning within,
With magnetic attraction for their next of kin,
Words that describe images, thoughts, sounds therein,
It's a noble cause, just because a story must begin.
It's not just the lovey-dovey smoochy stuff,
But words that clash, jog and jangle, huff and puff,
Words that trawl up memories and a serendipitous bluff,
Words that inspire a just cause in readers is just enough.
I wash, rinse, and recycle what pops into my head,
Creating a riddle, jingle, jangle and rhyme bedspread,
That's washed, spun, and hung out to dry once it's said,
To flap, taunt and jangle readers passing-by my spread.
Poetry contests are lots of fun
they excercise your mind.
I've taken part in quite a few
it helps to past the time.
Just Because I've entered
I never expect to win.
Even though I've wrecked my brain
they always end up in the bin.
But that does not deter me
for I'm determined to get it right.
It's becoming a irritating obsession
that keeps me awake all night.
But one day it will happen
I'm going to steal the show.
how is that you may ask
I answer,
Just Because I know.
Just because I have been asked,
By Poetry Soup’s John Lawless,
To write a random poem,
I need to find something flawless.
I thought about a Haiku,
But, although not very long,
I can’t count up to seventeen
So I’m bound to get it wrong
Now Villanelles are tricky,
Though I’ve tried from time to time,.
But I really can’t be bothered
To find six words that rhyme.
So what about a sonnet?
They can’t be very hard.
But I feel a bit self-conscious
Competing with The Bard.
After due consideration,
My final answer’s this.
Just because I’m lazy,
I’ll give this one a miss
