Just Because

Looking at a blank page is hard,
but often it doesn't take long
for the emotions boiling inside
to make their way out and
fill the page with sorrow, pain,
fear, hope, and finally joy
Because life is a mixture that brews
every day. I take it moment
by moment and refuse to let the
dark moments overshadow the light
even if I have to go searching for them
because I was made to soak in the good
things in life like a sunflower growing
toward the sun and soaking in it's rays

I enjoy the positive vibes in your poem. The metaphore of the sunflower growing toward the sun was a beacon of hope. Thank you.
