You were loved once
just because
but in defiance of your lot
perhaps in spite
learned to dance, love again

Think it's hidden
in diamond's luster
or hereafter
not all the smiles
nor outpour of laughter

Educated, ready to reach
the brass ring's test
understanding even less
of life's best

Trade in yesterday for
sister's and brother's
just a taste
of tomorrow's forevers
never promised, nor bothered

I'll never tell you it's so
if you want or don't
who'd think I could ever know
when you will or won't?

Never can be too sure
if anything will last
channel'd from someone or
something
remains from ages past

Run faster hoping time will never
catch up, to all this
ask you to pay amends
for moments chastened
now missed

Try to catch the wind
sleeping
best to practice touching..
keeping

No, you won't remember hard times
if it were up to me
staring into a lion's eyes,
from where you came
on the way to where you'll be

Return to doctor's orders
hold on to praise won
pray all turns right
before the ending' sun

Ten's beauty is half as such
twelve is way too much
make due with that special
someone
just because

It's Just Because You Stopped

IT’S JUST BECAUSE YOU STOPPED

Thoughts are your existence, your happiness, and your sorrows

They were your past; your now, and your every tomorrow

You have manifested with thought, your life so far

You have thought your way to who you are

Now ask yourself what you want from here

See your vision crystal clear

Using your imagination; it’s up to you, your life’s creation

Understanding the law of attraction

Is being able to turn your thoughts into action

Not only that, I’m not yet through

You have to believe your thoughts come true

 Think and Act to make it real, you’ll know it’s working by the way you feel

Every single waking hour, act the part, you have the power

You will only make it to the top, to love thinking in this way and never stop

Remember every thought you take, is your script, your life, make no mistake

It’s challenging, exciting, yet hard to do

How much passion do you have in you?

To make your wishes and dreams come true

For who ever acts upon this theory, make it to the top

For all who try and don’t succeed

It’s just because you stopped!

Just Because

I need you
just because
my life seems
full when you’re
around
My days are
filled with light,
your image owns
my nights

My life is
full, more like
complete, for you
have filled my
void
My empty pain
replaced,
You’ve filled that
empty space

I think about you
just because
you flood my
thoughts with
joy
I think about
your face,
Your eyes, your
smile, your grace

These imageries
and thoughts of you
expand throughout
my mind
My mind’s opened
its gates,
You’ve conquered
my mental state

I love you
just because
you’ve drawn the
love out from
my heart
Affection felt by
me,
Is yours for you
to see

A world of
love is not
enough for me
to give to
you
It never is
nor was,
All simply
just because

Just Because I Said I Do

Oh the woe, for woe is me,
I said, "I do" to a teacher-to-be!
I tried to marry my best friend,
Now strapped to him, I stand condemned.

I support him with my soulless jobs,
Counting beans with business snobs.
He sacrificed much time, unpaid,
Which I picked up and played the maid.

I followed him to this world's other end
To help his job search better fend.
We put our future plans on hold,
Which shrivel up as I grow old.

Stress puts me in a place of dread
As I lay sleepless in my bed
While horrors dance inside my head:

Will he ever get full-time work?
Where will we be next fall?
Tomorrow, will he get the call?
Will I ever get to meet the children in my dreams?
Will we ever get off this one-bedroom floor?
If only he...
If only...
If only...

And just as I begin to cry,
I stop myself, and ponder why...
Why endure the torture?

Because I love that man of mine
More than my words would dare define.
And why not do the world a favor?
To be the change, we must be braver
Than most who seek the ladder climb
Who care not but for their own time.

Why not contribute to the needed suture?
Why not invest in childrens' future?
He could be someone's liberation
As an educator of a generation.

If I can drive, I do not walk.
I no more write letters; by cell phone I talk.
I sometimes hide dirt under the rug.
Most things in my house I do not unplug.
I like my clothing permanent pressed,
and I go to bed sometimes not undressed.
Fun things I do most of the day
by putting things off so I can play.
Dishes pile up inside my sink.
I take out the garbage when it starts to stink.
Chores can wait till the house drives me crazy.
I do all these things
just because . . .
I am lazy.

Just because I chose, not to complain
That didn’t mean I felt no pain
Just because I listened, to the breeze
That didn’t mean winds blew with ease
Just because you held grudges,on your finger tips
That did mean I gave your hand the slip
Just because I liked the smell of the rain
That didn’t mean you could make me cry again
Just because I embraced courage
That didn’t mean there was no damage
Just because I smiled in the sun
That didn’t mean my needing was done
Just because I wore my heart on my sleeve
That did not mean you could get up and leave!

When a loved one commits suicide NO ONE wants to talk about it
Not about the person, the pain, the act,
they avoid it like the plague

Just because my son took his own life,
does not mean he was not a special person
HE was a kind, loving, giving human being

Just because he took his own life does not mean
he does not deserve to be remembered-
He does deserve for his name to be spoken

Just because he took his own life, does not
mean that I don't miss him with every fiber of
my being, I do and I wish it could have been different

Just because he took his own life, it does not mean
that I wish the situation were the same as when he was
alive, I do not, he was suffering from extreme illness and
I only want wholeness and peace for him, which I believe
he has achieved. But I will NOT avoid talking about suicide
and trying to DO SOMETHING about it, because it is a
painful terrible thing and it will not be stopped until
people talk about it and DO SOMETHING!

Just Because Im White

Just because I'm white
Doesn't mean I am nerdy
Doesn't mean I get straight A’s
And doesn't mean I wear glasses

Just because I’m white
Doesn't mean I’m always angry
Doesn't mean I like mayonnaise
Doesn't mean I don’t like rap

Just because I’m white
Doesn't mean I can’t dance
Doesn't mean I can’t talk to girls
Doesn't mean I’m rich

Just because I’m white
Why can’t we all just stop judging?
Aren’t we all one in the same?
Why do people stereotype?
We are all on the earth
So why can’t we live as one?

Just Because I Said I Do

Just because I said "I do"
doesn't mean that I am through,

through with life before I met you
and the reasons to forget you.

On the night I knelt before you
signing how much I adore you,

it was more than words I uttered
more than sounds casually scattered.

Just because I said I do
don't forget that it was true,

just because others who've done it
had a second thought and shun it.

Mark me , babe, wives are still ladies
despite any amount of babies.

Just because I said I do
doesn't mean that you are through,

there is a long way to go
for me never to say no.

Just Because I'M Fat

“Just because I’m fat”.

Just because I’m fat…
Doesn’t mean you are all that,
Or that I’ll do aerobics on a mat,
Hey, some fat people are cool, ya heard,
Like Big Boy, Edwin Frank Hoff, the third!

Just because I’m fat…
Doesn’t mean I want to get skinny,
It’s like my home dog Pooh bear, who’s name is Winnie,
I know one day, I can get there – I can,
And then all the chicks will praise the FAT man!

Just because I’m fat…
Doesn’t mean y’all can hate,
Because for some, fat is their fate,
All you posers, just remember one thing,
It’s never over ‘til the fat people sing!
Just because I’m fat… there’s nothing wrong with that!

He cheats on me with video games,
Cuts out my voice with music;
The clothes all over the house,
But I'm the one who cleans;
Dishes fill the sink,
They just sit and wait for me;
Just because I said I do?
Level up chump! Tough Love!

Just Because I Said I Do

~~~
Ostracized
forsaken place
these bars of time
no saving grace
from whence I came
a fence I face
around and round
no end in chase
Just because
I said I do
I'm seldom excused
when postage due
No-one to share
I stand alone
to cheat despair
I scratch this poem
of matters fact
it finds no home
amid your care
dispense of drone
Just Because I Said I Do
Oh this war tween man and fem
Makes so many lift the sword
Turn it into poison pen
Telling all is their reward
He done me wrong
She will say
He wasn’t strong
He had to stray
She left me for another man
I was good, I wasn’t rough
I try to do the best I can
But in the end  not good enough
Is always out with his mate
Leaving me at home alone
Coming in, drunk and late
Telling me, not to moan
Always late with my meals
Oh was she a big mistake
Never puts out what appeals
I live on cereal and cake
I wish him, I’d never chose
Is plain for anyone to see
Chides coz I don’t iron his clothes
And loves the dog more than me
All she thinks is, self, self self
While I’m working really hard
Forgets I took her off the shelf
She won’t get no Christmas card
He thinks that I can’t drive a car
Always saying what to do
Someday he’ll take it way to far
I’ll look at him and say, “Screw you”
It started off in wedded bliss
Now it seems there’s no discourse
How could it have come to this?
See you in court, for the divorce.
I’m having the dog.. No you’re not .
Yes I am. No. Yes. No. Yes. No…………
This is purely fictitious and I have
never said she can’t drive a car, at
least not while moving in a
forward direction … hahaha
Just because I said 'I do'
Doesn't mean I need to stand when I want to use the loo
If its brown flush it down, so the experts say
But if you stand to use the loo please leave the seat where it once did lay
When in a rush to use the privy
I feel like a complete divvy
When my posterior hits the porcelain
Where once a wooden seat had lain
So men when you stand up to pee
Think of others – especially me
Leave the seat where it once sat
And make sure you leave the beggar flat!
Just because there is air to breathe.
It does not give you the right,
To take a breath.
Just because there is beauty to see.
That does not mean you cannot see,
The beauty which is before you now.
And just cause always will exist,
That does not mean,
Tomorrow will always be there.
Just because I am with:
Fear, anxiety, deep depression, my demons.
That doesn't make me any less grateful,
For what I must face today.
