Premium Member WHEN I THINK PRIOR

Years back
Past track
Direction when I was loss
A Grand Mother praying having an influential force
Prayed together
Taught me how to pray and what to pray for
A Grand Mother who showed me the way to salvation
Educated me in biblical words
It became my one day understanding after while
When I thought death would consume me
A Grand Mother became a guiding light
As I write, tears fall
Thank You Grand Ma for rescuing me being my call
I miss you so
You were like no other
A Mother to many
Sweet and Gentle
Comforter beyond.

Wems Henry Temmy Psalm 65

You Laugh, sea waves billow
With joy into another segment
It spreads a whole amusement
Exposing the white soft sands below

Keep it updated to humorously be able
All having everyday a waggish anecdote
In honor of being cool under harsh fable
A remark intended to provoke ability if misquote

You laugh of Nations, how influential
You laugh of Nigeria, the one with no simplicity
But have become impotent with enough potential
Who boast silently; her wards cum toxicity

Shame the eyes in glasses that are not seen
Kill inability to get the water flow from rock
Force the evidence out of ignorance against cruelty between
Call and obedience to classic hawk

Human resources manager laughs
At this town's share of ego in pain
Not enough to cover up their gaffes
Mourning the loss, world weeps insane

But you do in guise of challenges to unfold
The trophy for thy blind chest through rage
Standing denialist to the fuse just bold
While democracy now live in comfortable cage

When exactly will time laugh out loud?
Where formality rule sincerely off fun
When will glasses help see through thick cloud?
Where season isn't the reason aura get done.

Areas of Modulation

That phrase describes products that
succeed through inherent quality,
 solving real world problems

It worre a 45 minute leisure time,
the interludes one tempo to another
The inconsistency of proportion had to
 be managed in order fo
r both tempos could have way.
the resolution of our discontent
stifled the progression which
had been natural and pleasant.
Until her centered need divided the concerns of
all who had interest in the project
it became easier for her to modulate
proves attempts to alter beliefs are
Both weak and unsuccessful
one who inspires might find there
the undue influencing to cover them
without knowing such is in accordance
Aquiver the excitement of being influential
is different from the shamefulness of
 being looked at as someone
will to cast a spell on you to have you as?
The core components and music is
the actual performance in which style
or genre the song works best for
 the audience and performer
the need to know why she
wished to brainwash him startlede

Competition with an illusionist

trusting myself to finally take my lead
never seen any competition if so concede
attention's on my actions expectation to fail
looking like fools my skills surely prevail
no bragging to boast for a shameful taunt
just being me has caused a haunt
my words have motivational and influential range
is that possible from a mind that's said to be derange
don't be shame of the unethical plays in your game
you lost fair and square so whose the blame
exemplified my win with gratitude and grace
hope you took notes to better your next race
like i said, "there's no competition"
no more to say this my benediction

Peaceful Reflections

Peace sets its tide,
On which I ride...
For joy to glide,
Without an hint of pride,
Before fate gets to guide

Chaotic ocean that was once calm:
Peaceful aplomb-
Its tides becalm,
Like a holy and soothing psalm,
After been tried out with a bomb.

Consequently shifts not yet in rage,
But calm rage's gauge-
Put its weight in cage,
Such is a doing of unspoken sage
Whose acts are sealed offstage!

Despite its ocean's waves colliding...
Yet crash forces abiding,
To pull unto subsiding,
Moving strikes in anguish dividing...
An influential check cum deciding-

Far away the bright and shining sun,
I choose never to shun,
The game's bait of fun...
Deep in heart's depth, silent scopes run,
Mind's melody unto the cool moon undone...

Not minding the rhythm of the song,
Or the beats along...
Been right nor wrong,
But to find happiness even with a gong,
Wherever it finds a life to remain young.

Then I discovered how greed; unfulfilled,
Gets many killed...
Though some skilled,
Lead others astray when disruption drilled,
What contentment can never rebuild.

Happy International Photography Day!

A poet strives for perfection, with his work intended to reflect his identity. He wrestles with procrastination as he develops each line.

Each verse provokes reactions and anticipations, prompting him to debate or revise his creations, even when favorable reviews are received.

Should I present it aloud, or let it mature and invite others to sample it? A multitude of perspectives can be influential.

Unlike a Sunday buffet, his poem is not the main course.

His work serves as an ode to his experiences, establishing him as a prolific composer.

Author's Note: To be or not to be, that is the question.

Premium Member One Star Man

("Rainbow Body" detail, 2018, original encaustic)

Today I noticed on a website I use for book reviews
All eight of my poetry books
Suddenly have a fresh new one star review.
Sadly though there is no content to these reviews
Nothing to sink my teeth into and learn from
Just a single star
Which simply means, “I hate it.”
But these are the first reviews or ratings
I have ever received in ten years now
Of publishing poems
So I will take it
Mostly because I have no choice.
It is a free world after all
And so if we engage with it
We shouldn’t be surprised
When it engages back.
The beauty of getting only one star reviews
Of course is it doesn’t get my hopes up
Hopes of becoming rich and famous
Influential and significant
Because I know, especially now,
None of that would be true.

Premium Member Trixie My Muse Keeps Me on the Edge of my Seat

her thoughts are mighty and marvelously influential to me.
I call her Trixie, my muse, she is truly the ultimate queen bee.
She won’t leave me alone, she’s like a dog with a hankering for duck.
How do you write so often? Other writers ask. Is it some kind of luck?

It is my muse, she is persnickety, tenacious and she must have her way.
She forces ten poems out of me every single solitary ordinary day.
If I want to sleep, she laughs me awake with a lovely ending line.
We don’t need any more rest she tells me, we will do just fine.

Her insistence and persistence keep me at the edge of my seat.
She wants a pen in my hand so often, I hardly have time to eat.
Trixie is my nemesis, but also my savior, she keeps me wild and free.
You see writing down my feelings is brilliantly therapeutic for me.

A poet must strive for perfection—his work is destined to reflect the world and his identity. With each line, he confronts procrastination head-on. With every verse, he engages in reactions, probations, and anticipation, leading to necessary debates and the reconstruction of his latest pieces, even in the face of favorable reviews.

I will read it out loud, or I will let it simmer, inviting others to sample my work. I recognize that too many thoughts and voices can be influential. Unlike a Sunday buffet, where the meal may be merely average, my poem is an ode—my work is my passion, and I will be a prolific composer.

Premium Member Imitating Abbey Road Cover

The most recognizable album cover in history, the photo of the
Beatles crossing Abbey Road, taken in the summer of sixty nine,
fifteen minutes before noon on August eight to be précised.
An iconic album cover for the image resonated with the fans.

There are wall posters of this photo and it seems men, my age,
in music industry have one in their living rooms or studios.
The photograph of the most influential band in the world walking
on a zebra crossing became one of the most imitated of all time.

I am one of those who imitated it five months ago, 19 of October
at eleven fifty in the morning, when we had photos taken crossing
Abbey Road, amidst a busy road in northwest London in St. John’s Wood
in the city of Westminster, outside Abbey Road Studios, formerly EMI.

We crossed Abbey Road in single file with me leading, followed by my
daughter and my granddaughter with our fourth person, my grandson
taking the pictures so he was not included, kind of disappointing.
How I wish we were there on October 9, John Lennon and my birthday.

MANIFESTO

MANIFESTO

Three words inscribed on a bullet
Finger on a trigger ready to pull it
This system that does not concede
Free healthcare at the point of need
Or each citizen having their own say
Then they express in their own way

It’s politically influential Big Pharma
That have a different kind of karma
Money not blood, is the circulation
Feeding each medical organisation
Donations keeps it just the way it is
Even when retribution begins to fizz

With certainties like death and taxes
Just where now indeed is that evil axis
Industries may be considered corrupt
As insurance fees are simply upped
What does it really take to lift the lid
Pushing the poor down the pyramid

Social medicine is seen as communist
The truth is diverted and then missed
It’s not capitalism in everyone’s sights
Or choosing to distort human rights
But money makes the world go round
Despite extortion often being found

Yet murder cannot justify a murder
Even in a kind of government purdah
A message has been sent, to be sure
Remember ‘Sicko’ by Michael Moore
And now the sense of injustice grows
From the words, Deny Defend Depose
