I am just a girl writing poetry (a woman) poetess like many and
it is sad how there are cliques that push their views
allmostlike . . . a gang with an influential alpha leader
the center of attention in words and words( infinity)
abashing the non-believers (those of a different opinion)
a narrow-minded few and haven for personswithmeanbraincells
I am no stranger to this pain(this childish devastation)
they have no respect for right or wrong or hurting
will bash anyone who stands alone . . .
the followers(like puppydogswaggingtails)follow mindlessly
oh gawd I don't like the clickclattercrackleclink of endless words
the cliqueycliquishcliquishly the inner circle of bullys
held together by a thread of theatrical banterlikebehavior
I know this behaviour(Iwas5yearsold)
see it is not just adolescents girls who enjoy cliquishness
a small group of few can form a crew agangofbashers
shameonyou . . .
but . . . I am proudstrong I am not in a clique
I am independent(yearsofbullying)has been my companion
so echoic cliques are useless againstthehighwall I have built
to protect my soul my spirit my poetry(yet you can still)
breakanalreadybrokenheart . . . shame on you and
thissweetkindgirlwoman has had enough

MY AGE
My age is nothing but a number, nothing but a slumber that I can’t wake from, this is what I’ve done. I’ve looked around and found that the matter of the fact is life isn’t what it’s supposed to be for me.
The average teenager spends most of their lifetime looking at their phones and when it’s time to learn something new their minds have already grown. Absorbing every single thing that they are sold, having a twelve year old’s body and the mind of a twenty one year old.
Social media doesn’t help the situation, it only changes how the different problems are situated. It has stolen complete sentences and created abbreviations, shortcuts of a language used by my generation. You could be laughing out loud when in reality you’re crying, saying TBH to be honest when in actual fact you’re actually lying.
And to that you can’t say anything because if LIFE was abbreviated it would stand for Living In Fear of Everything.
This is what I go through, in addition the music industry has had a major breakthrough. It has managed to be more influential promoting sex, drugs and slurs that are racial. “Making money moves” is about dancing on a pole, “Smoke weed everyday” is the daily intake of dope and this is said all while mentioning the one African American slave term that we all know. My nig-...I can’t say it though. So why do you. You have no idea who that affects. Sometimes we need to learn to be more politically correct.
They say that euphoria is just around the corner, behind the school building in a midst of vape. These are the lies they create, saying everything is ok. Just inhale it once and you’ll be done. I’m sorry, you can call me a loner but don’t mistake me for a stoner. One shot, two shots, three shots, four, hard. Call me antisocial but I’ve never drank before and I’m not about to start.
Society is full of influences, temptations and choices. However people like me always end up being voiceless. They think we’re too young to have any serious issues, that’s just another excuse for not wanting to accept the truth. You choose to change the subject to something totally unrelated, “We don’t have many problems?” well isn’t that an understatement?
You say that it will change, you say it’s just a phase, you say it’s another page in my story, no, this stage, right here...
This is MY AGE!
Once there was a fairy by name Linda “fondly Alice”
Falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world pretty nice!
Literary nonsense genre
Influential fantasy genre
Bloody the fairy of my fantasy world “Alice”?
The artwork shows a
female gymnast balancing on a pile of rubble
on the side of a building damaged by Russian strikes
The graffiti artist posted three images
the piece Friday on social media,
with a simple caption reading "Borodyanka, Ukraine,"
using an alternative spelling for the town's name
Speculation had been mounting that
Banksy was in the war-torn country after a series of murals
appeared in Borodianka, located about 35 miles northwest of the capital, Kyiv
The town came back into Ukrainian control on April 1
returning residents found their houses ransacked and shops pillaged with windows broken and contents stolen
The letter "V" a symbol used by Russia's Eastern Military district in concert with the letter "Z" an emblem for Moscow's so-called "special military operation" was found painted on buildings, vehicles and checkpoints
Who's Banksy? Clues about the mysterious artist!
Slippery, provocative, mysterious Banksy, the British artist
whose identity is still unknown,
is considered one of the main contemporary street art icons
His art, many times satirical,
address universal issues such as politics,
culture or ethics
In the center of Los Angeles, an "unauthorized" Banksy’s exhibition,
dedicated to the enigmatic artist,
lets visitors dive into the controversial artistic universe
of the most influential creator of present time
Almighty God* constantly blessing my life
Blessed Saviour of compassion-care
Caring Creator, directing me
Driving Director toward enlightened spirituality
Enlightening Spirit for stewardship-faithfulness
Faithful Father granting goodness
Good Granter of helpfulness’ hope
Helping Healer against sin-virus influence
Influential Instructor along biblical judgment
Just Judge, showing me kindness
Kind King full of love
Loving Lord with tender mercies
Merciful Master, nurturing worshipful heart
Nourishing Nurturer, leading me against evil
Omniscient Leader along great power
Powerful Mover for joyous revival
Quickening Reviver, restoring my soul
Redeemer-Restorer Who strengthens servanthood
Strengthening Christ for triumph’s assurance
Triumphant Warrior, lifting my faith’s banner
Upholding Faith-Author that conquers doubts
Victorious Conqueror, winning with wise counsel
Wisdom Source, exemplifying discipleship essence
‘Xcellent Example Who personified servant-leadership
Yoke Bearer with against weakness’ fall
Zealous Fire for my earnest devotion to the Almighty God.*
*Genesis 17:1 …The LORD appeared…, and said…, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

Lady Di
The princess we loved
At 5ft 10 tall with stunning beauty
This angel stunned the world
With her duty.
A young Diana did marry a Prince Charles
From other Royals she got snarls
An independent woman, we watched grow
With 2 sons William and harry
They filled her with life
They made her glow.
Thing soon turned sour
With an affair he had
This made Dianna
Very mad
She had 2 sisters and 2 brothers
Was talented on the piano
She like dance
Maybe the tango
Beautiful, humble, elegant
The charities she helped
Where to her testament
Diana the most influential person
Of the 20th century
We will forever hold her in
Our hearts and in our memory.
Related to Winston Churchill and 10 U.S Presidents
Towards the end of her life
She lived in torment
Diana developed a love interest
With Major James Hewitt
She looked happy
We knew it
Battling mental health issues, eating disorders
And suicide attempts
Behinds the scenes
Her heart was breaking
Whilst the paparazzi
Was staking
Media did not leave Dianna alone
There was no where she could turn
To be on her own
1997 Diana passed away in a car crash
The world in disbelief
We thought the media
Was speaking trash
It was true
There wasn’t a dry eye
How could this happen
Now her soul is in the sky
The driver of her car
Influenced by alcohol
Took this princess’s life
She was our real-life doll
Mother Teresa gave Diana
Rosary beads that where
Buried with her
Although no longer living
She still holds power
Thousands came to say goodbye
With many tributes
There wasn’t a dry eye.
Diana’s grave on an island
On her family’s lake
RIP Diana
You have no more heartache
For this tribute poem, my heart exclaims:
Dad: you’re my greatest human fortress, steadfast indeed
The Almighty I praise for your legacy, thriving with blest breed.
Mom: being the virtuous woman who molded my personhood
You exemplified essence of love and wisdom in your motherhood.
Siblings: Manong Rhud, Ading Bert, and Sis. Ming, “kapatids” so dear
How fortunate am I to be assured of your presence so near.
Relatives: cousins, aunts, uncles within and outside clan’s group chat-brace
God’s blessings be with you, reached-out by His redemption grace.
Mentors, teachers, leaders: your earnestness of life-building impact
Keeps me fulfilling influential educator-role by faith with blissful act.
Friends: Actual and virtual, online and on-site ... you're appreciated
Midst your warm partnership for which I'm gratefully elated.
Brethren and sisters in the Lord: let’s fulfill His will, exalting His name
Serving as light and salt by His enablement, advancing heavenly aim.
Orphanage family: with the Saviour’s compassion and provisions that abound
You’re my home where His grace is maximized till we hear the trumpet sound.
The ALPHA AND OMEGA of my being: Without YOU, my GOD, I’m nothing
Since You’re my life, my all-sufficiency*; thanks for everything.
*2Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.

I remember the day when comments were the main
They're all very instrumental to the Soup's mainframe
Some comments are influential that created other writes
And many were like tuition that kept us crisp and bright
But there now appears a drought growing larger every day
We need to increase our comments as they help us write our says
Maybe it's time for change, for the Soup to alter it's route
Many foundations have recently left, will others follow suit
The columns showing us the views, tells us nothing at all
How many have clicked on a poem thinking that's a bit of a trawl
So another poem was open and not a word was read
So basically the views are worthless, because comments are our thread
We can learn from our comments but we will never learn from the views
It's our democratic choice for all, of what we do and choose
Nothing stays the same for ever as it appears to be
It's still the worlds best poetry site, that's down to you and me

Losing the ego
Swallowing your pride
Embodying your philosophy
Metamorphosis - manifesting inside
The ego you carry
Around in your head
The illusion of importance
Sense of self; dead
The ego craves attention
Loquacious; trivialities all the time
Desiring affirmation
Pompous thoughts in his mind
Validation is necessary
Recognition a must
Exposing the façade
The ego gets crushed
Losing the ego
Curtain close for the show
The end of an image
Liberation - letting go
Now you’re in charge
You’re content being you
Pridefulness lowered
Character comes through
Humility in life
Being true to yourself
Conquering the ego
Mastering of oneself
“The ego is only an illusion, but a very influential one. Letting the ego-illusion becomes your identity that can prevent you from knowing your true self. Ego, the false idea of believing that you are what you have or what you do is a backwards way of assessing and living life”
-Wayne Dyer
Oops!
I slipped over,
At my door step,
Was it intentional?
Less I presume it was just a mere incident,
That almost resulted to an accident,
Walking in the street,
I meet with influential potential humans,
Wearing shirt sleeves...
Guess,
Its a formal dress code,
To achieving your dreams in the city,
Walking in the street of life,
I barely distinguish the possible impossible,
It's sometimes,
Possible to achieve the impossible,
At times,
It's obviously impossible to achieve the possible,
I keep walking...
Hoping to encounter a sudden glorious opportunity,
To solving life's inevitable mystery in simplicity.
Grammar
When it comes to grammar
I always break the rules
I am from the old school
I never adhere to the “do and don’t
I am a devious character indeed... oh! guess what!
My Dali lama teaching
Was never influential because
Nothing else matters to me
I am who I am
Prose and complete
And most of the time
Politically or grammatical incorrect
Whatever, or whoever I am.
I am a poetess with a mean ***** switch
my main focus is to get my point across
Artful and prose; I play the devil’s advocate
Guilty as charge, I am in charge of my anthology
No outsiders can never curve my pen
To construct a well written poem
When I am on a roll I never stop to compose
Or worry about starting my sentences with “and our but”
Even if it makes me clunky; no biggie that me
I have no intention of offering a toast
or pretend I am your host at your table.
I am the artful dodger, I know how to submit and watch
As my pen become public enemy number one.
(mostly to some)
Sorry my master! My mentor, Dali lama (my conscience)
...................................................................
May I examine my mind in all actions?
And as soon as a negative state occurs,
Since it endangers me and others,
May I firmly face and avert it. : Quote Dali Lama
PASSION FOR FASHION
We live
We continue to pretend
We copy
Because that’s in fashion
Painted Face
Leaving no trace
Fiftyish women,
Pretending to be
Forever Thirty,
Obsessed by age
Not finding grace
Men from Metro-sexual
To Retro-sexual
Proving Substantial,
Gizmos Essential
Looking Influential
Faking Credentials
Doubting Potential
Half-Truths
Outright Lies
For motives of profit,
The lies of materialism
Succumbing to manipulations,
For notions of happiness,
Financial Strains
Come with long term Drains
Eligible Singles
Readily Mingle
To Romance and Jingle
Then come Expectations,
Anger and Frustration.
Lousy sex
Eternal vex
Killing the Passion
Divorces and Affairs
Becoming a Fashion
Relationships are broken
Through SMS and Faxes
Marriage then Fixes
To save on Taxes
The key to Liberation,
Is not in “Passion for Fashion”
But in knowing that
What does not contain LOVE
Is only an Illusion!!
Blessed by God as a full-blooded Filipina
I’m endowed with great cultural heritage of Asia
Distinctively that of the Benguet “Kankana-ey” tribe of the Cordillera
Enriching my country, the Philippines, of her unique role in the global agenda.
Grateful am I to the Lord for my tribe’s awareness of the Deity
Shown by my forefathers’ acknowledgment of the Supreme Being’s authority
Thru their festivities and rituals revealing their trust in the God Almighty…
Igniting my faith toward genuine Christianity and biblical spirituality.
I salute my tribe mates for their respect to creation and steadfast preservation of nature
Affirmed by their diligent gardening and productive, yet prudent farming venture
Making them stalwart guardians of their environment, their bounty-pasture
While invoking the Divine Providence against calamities thru sincere offerings’ gesture.
Gladness* couples my appreciation to our tribe’s close family ties and intimate engagements
During bonding moments over cups of coffee and meals along conversation merriments
Especially in clans’ get-together for weddings and feastings’ enjoyments
Aside from reunions in funerals filled with reminiscences of varied sentiments and predicaments.
My tribe with its peculiar culture is commendable indeed
Steadfastly strong in its identity of tenacious influential creed
As it welcomes changes of betterment and prosperity’s seed
Midst technological development toward progress-breed!
*Psalm 4:7 Thou (LORD) hast put gladness in my heart...

3rd place, "TRIBUTE TO NATIVE CULTURE" Poetry Contest
Sponsored by Line Gauthier; judged on 12/15/2018.
If someone disbelieves you, it’s his will
Your choice matters more than anyone
Follow your desire like wind over the hill
When you get there, catch a glimpse of the sun
Earned your guests in a certain level of kindness
It is a decree of sure winning your fellow’s trust
Repair false service to free them from blindness
While I serve, know no bound, only pure and just
It’s not a lost for lacking someone’s harbor
Feel you just belong to a bigger shelter
For the heart of the mass will get you farther
Things will get better in moments spent together
Life is a battle that you don’t always compete
Against the stronger or influential one
But sooner or later the one who completes
Is the one who believes he/she can!
Along the search to find my political team
None other than an old friend showed me the way
To fulfill bigger step and claim what is in my dream
To talk about my name and cast one’s vote on Election Day
A poem for my sister running for Barangay Councilor
