I can see on your lips
you have clumps of earth
from rubbish golfers
and the fact you celebrate dawn
as a thing that happens by design
only adds to your concoction
just go over and tell them
what you think of their ineptness
so we can leave and find other
reasons for your lips

I cried tears of anguish for the burgeoning.
Tears and sobbing aren't prospering.
I regret all the rambunctious ineptness.
Silver hair and a large head are worthless.
My youth was pillaged, yet my heart tried to beat.
Pulling leaves from a branch is a fun treat.
Is it possible to reclaim my youth?
To tell him the breed of gray-haired man couth.

Warning Labels
I remember the eighties, common sense and smarts
big hair and jeans were just part of the arts
there was lead in our paint and asbestos on the floor
if you talked back to Mom your butt would get sore
gas was flammable, a little spark could start a flame
if you got burned by your coffee, only you were to blame
we had Ma and Pop shops, and the cassette recorder
there were no warning labels on everything you would order
ineptness has grown, with technology and time
with so many machines, there are fewer hills to climb
there are bumps and bruises on every street corner
a burn or a scrape should not be a foreigner
I don’t think warning labels are the correct tool
we should peel them all off and improve our gene pool
everyone falls, get up and brush yourself off
Let’s bring back common sense and get rid of the scoff

Only life in our mortal realm
entrenches self-doubt’s stand.
People and events cripple us
with critical mirrors showing us
visuals of our ineptness.
All who are predisposed to clutching their negative blows
know doubts occurrences of fearful disturbance
thoroughly unscrambles one’s confidence channel
Image deceit drips as falsely scented,
mixed with drops of fictive doubt,
to kidnap our splendid potential.
On and off, our truth wrestles doubt’s absolutes.
Since youth, most have fought that gloomy devil.

I’m not too swift at wrapping gifts
But I make an attempt,
So therefore from critiques I think
That I should be exempt.
I purchase pretty paper
Though I rarely splurge on bows,
Yet sometimes tie a ribbon ‘round
(Where my ineptness shows).
I then attach a card or else
A gift tag to and from,
Just so the right recipient
Knows whence the gift has come.
Since I take great care when wrapping,
The results may make you scoff.
Still, the best part of a present
Is to rip that paper off!

My lips white I wilt beneath the gaze
Of the tyrant standing before me
With freedom on his lips
He wraps me in chains
And silences my very thought
So I chew my lip
Until blood drips off of my chin
Just one last act of defiance
Because I rolled with the circumstance
And I'm a born villain as a result
As I never lifted a finger to fight back
It was only in the twilight of rebellion
It was only as everything went dark
That I was blessed with the light of clarity
My inaction led to this moment
To this twisted tapestry that's quite a travesty
It was only when my freedoms were stolen
That I became liberated from my own chains
If only I had realized sooner
Perhaps my grand revelation would have helped
And as the world goes black at last
My ineptness fades into the pages of history

What is this curve of grace
the mimicry of societies face
that my hands flutter and tuck
in a feminine coy pretense?
How have I become the mirror of copy print
and my mind
the Abyss of self doubt,
When my ancestors were queens of battle?
….I have been strained of strength.
In a filter of male perceptions
I pose beneath a gaze
I don’t remember choosing.
Curse you Aphrodite.
For your lies and deceit.
For selling your hand maidens
to the strike of Zeus’s lust.
You have abandoned me.
I have abandoned myself.
Where is the audacity of my youth?
While I tremble at the crones final stage?
This was not to be my ending.
Self-hatred and loathing.
My own ineptness robbed
My own inner furnace.
My soul cold in barren wilderness
My heart stolen, and purpose foregone.
I’ve sold my sister coven
For the silver in an enemies purse.

Treacherous and unstable footing
Pain is the fuel for complacency
Tortured, but unbreakable

"Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future"
-Oscar Wilde
Saints aren’t always saints, sinners aren’t always sinners,
freedom comes with a price even when you’re ready-
Life can be a rummage of contending losers and winners,
yet aloof in the assessment of what is worthy or petty.
Saints are also sinners, sinners are also saints,
who are we to separate them from each other?
Many can take advantage of free will, others show restraint,
then just tell me, who are we to judge one another?
Saints can be saints, just as sinners can be sinners,
forget who we are let’s move past this comparison-
It’s like adjudicating who is fat and who is thinner,
when in reality we should all try to be good Samaritans.
There is a fine line between deeming whose better or worse,
after all, weren’t we all created with the choice of free will?
Yes, there is much evil in the world, but also good of course,
yet, society is unfortunately judged upon ineptness and skill.
To fill this world with notions of superiority or of trespassing-
is like saying there is no difference between hell and the everlasting.

Just the thought of you
inspires me to heights
of grandiosity and elegance
You coerce me to create
writings, poems of distinction
indubitably perchance
How does this entrancing
energy transpose into art,
permutations of heights
drifting through ions
of transposition, toughness
circumcises deliverance
It's a mystical phenomenon
that's existed for ages,
from the inception
of humanity's ineptness
through the age of technology
bolstered by craters
of existential drifting
through generations
parallel to the Muse.

Briddeled in your spitefullness ,
each tortures lost despair.
Empty now through circumstance,
you've plotted your way there.
Truculent for empty causes,
the smears upon our face.
Never have you searched for wisdom,
ineptness took its place.

The names of success spoken slowly, enunciated with near perfection.
Begetters delighted while warriors of knowledge even prouder.
Frame the object with that pride, etched in bold colors of quested victory.
Intended to render focus where future awaits with her breath of betterment.
Render the mortar board square, keeping the gown smooth as the silk it resembles.
Shutterbugs will capture that smile of a thousand future memories.
A feastful celebration shared in public display, consuming all thoughts of ineptness.
Success is now official along with all cheers for you - the graduate.

This morning I was called to a meeting between myself and my mind. I had no idea that this was on todays agenda, and so I was totally unprepared for the questions that seemed to be coming in rapid succession. At first I thought I knew what I was talking about, only to have my mind change my opinion. I came away from the meeting having feelings of inadequacy, and of ineptness, only to be rescued by the little voice hidden deep in my psyche telling me to accept the fact that although I was not properly prepared for such a spontaneous meeting, that I should find solace in the fact that my mind was quizzing me on things that happened as long ago as yesterday

Elevator, elevator
One of the most awkward places you can be
Standing, crowded much too close to me
Should you say hello or just keep to yourself?
So you stand there stiff resembling a doll on a shelf
Elevator, elevator
A sudden stench encompasses the whole box
People look around like they’ve caught the chicken pox
The air is thick with unease and irritability
Everyone’s in a rush, utilizing their capability
Elevator, elevator
After what seems to be millennia the box stops abruptly
Another stop, still standing waiting for the lobby
Irish man breaks the silence with a witty comment
Its just like the movies –elevator ineptness is his vent
