Premium Member Almost Lost

Incessantly it trods and plods
perpetual the pendulum.
So long before the abbey bells
tolled and told of hours passing
before the ticks and tocks of clocks
or shadows crept with solstice gods
no one to worship at its start
that knew not of a perfect love.

The kindest heart left drowned in tears
and wrapped in gross deformity,
yet sheltered by cathedral walls
in disrepair as much as he.
'til Esmerelda's gentle hand,
he knew no love, just hate and scorn
and like the brand from tempered flame,
it's burning love that made him strong.

So like the edifice was he,
an ugly house that held God's love
and Quasimodo's lonely heart
who'd toll the bells that silence hears.
Then in the end he found her dead
and sacrificed his mortal life
to sleep with one who truly gave
the only love he'd ever known.

Interred, yet not forsaken souls,
whose bones became entangled vines
that turned to dust when first exposed,
then blew to heaven ~ found in time...

The bubble is bound to burst

The bubble is bound to burst
before long; therefore at least
A gondola you should opt for
For letting loose your emotions
Loaded with almost all oceans
Curved currents and foams
Potential fear amidst delight
and excitement; your sights
blurred by beauty that roams

along the edges of the figure
Flooding your whole existence
Mopping off all distance
Of time and space in braincase
Only the embrace, you write
and replace, the lips and face
In cloud base and fireplace
In cold case and in a horse race
Mewing wooing cooing
Howling, growling, prowling.
Doing, undoing and redoing

Life is never a straight line
Bland canned and flatland
It's waist band and dreamland
Fascinating woodland
Crescent and fluorescent
Incessantly effervescent

So no monochrome of woe
No saying always not and no
Instead, the bugle of gusto
In the meadow with a rainbow
Always the wonderful gun
In your lovely hair-bun

Premium Member That little voice within

I have a voice within
day and night chatters incessantly
it simply will not take a rest
I write because no one
will listen to my babble

Sometimes it’s silliness and nonsense
at random times there’s the odd gem
a bit of unrequited wisdom
it’s like a bag of assorted candy
never know what we’re about to get
who has time to sit and listen
it’d take the patience of a saint

So I write all my thought bubbles
and throw them in a candy jar
offering them to random strangers
so they can peruse meanwhile my voice
is free to say all it’s got to say

Premium Member LISTEN to the Wind

"If you reveal your secrets to the wind, you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees." - Kahil Gibran

Listen to the wind; it has many sounds.
Does it roar, rush, gust, swoosh, hum, thump or wail?
It can whisper innocently or bay like hounds.
If you groan or whine, wind may mimic you,
moaning or muttering. It might even howl
like a wounded troop that is dying to pass through
or like a soul battered by words and deeds most foul.
Antagonized too much, a tempest wind can be -
swirling violently – almost incessantly.
Listen to it; wind can be much like you and me.

But just as we can hear the wind, can you believe
that maybe – just maybe – the wind has ears as well?
What if it knows US? What secrets might it tell?
Listen to the wind as it moves through grass and reed.
Does it carry secrets in each gentle breeze
as it breathes and rustles leaves upon the trees?
People like to say that Zephyr whispers.
How fitting it would be if secrets wind has heard
live always within nature – each and every word!

Missed By The Visitation Of The Lord

The sign of Jesus coming
Is like a woman's labor pain
The pain is interval in nature
Like every hour is in pain
Then in every thirty minutes
Then pain in every five minutes
Then it's time to go to hospital
To deliver the new born baby
It's like in the time of Noah
God reveal His plan to him
People live casually, incessantly
What's wrong with marriage
What's wrong with business
What's wrong with ambition
What's wrong with wealth
What's wrong is that they don't know
That the ark is already finished
The selected one just come in
And all the animals for proginy
And people they don't know
The visitation of the Lord to them
Salvation has now come to those
Who heed the call to repent and obey
Eternal life in righteousness is on the bow
For everyone who just made perfect.

Premium Member True Story

Walking in the front door with my sisters in tow, the phone on the sideboard in the dining room started ringing incessantly. Upon answering the phone, a very determent voice accosted my ear with, ‘You are the lucky winner in our draw to receive a Life Coat makeover for your house—‘
‘This is not my house …’
‘Well, may I speak to Mr “X”?’
‘No, sorry. My father passed away an hour ago. We have just returned from the hospital—‘
The register in his voice went up an octave: ‘Well, put your mother on the phone, then.’
‘She passed away last week—‘
‘Of all the [expletive] excuses I have ever heard …’ And with that he slammed down the phone.

apocalypse

Apocalypse

I saw the storm approaching. It had a look of evil intent
People were seeking shelter in the town's only café
I didn't like to share the place with so many
and I had to find my dog before the storm hit
I found what had been a bus shelter, a bunker from a war
only remembered by historians, or a would-be writer
The storm hit with a roar of death and insane destruction
When it was over, the town had disappeared
A field of sea green grass had taken its place, the stillness
so acute I could hear the grass incessantly whispering, that
made my dog nervous, we moved and walked on the sand
of the newborn
We could not stay still, walking on in the hope of finding
a past that could be helpful when we arrive
where the future was,  not sure if the old past and the new
The future would merge into a seamless whole

Premium Member Bob Loblaw

There's a grocery chain in Canada
Known by the name of Loblaw's
That in itself isn't anything special
Till owners named their son after grandpa

Their poor son was blessed by his parents
Didn't think very hard these Loblaws
Baptized their son Robert that's silly
Bob Loblaw, blah blah blah!

Like someone is incessantly babbling on
Making absolutely totally no sense
Bob Loblaw is quite an intelligent man
Bob Loblaw, blah blah blah!

His name makes him sound like a total idiot
When introducing himself to a newbie
Hard as he tries to pronounce each syllable
Can't say it without sounding goofy

Poor Bob will take his name to the grave
Can you see the inscription on his headstone?
How can anyone be sombre while visiting
Imagine how it sounds on the telephone...

Hello, this is Bob Loblaw, blah blah blah!

Premium Member How do you fight when the battle is within you, and every attempt seems doomed to fail

How do you fight when the battle is within you, and every attempt seems doomed to fail,
When you thought you were strong, but now you see you're caught in the web of doubt,
A stranger in your own skin, searching for a self that once seemed so certain,
I try to rise, but I fall again, chasing pieces of myself that have disappeared.
Once I was confident, but now I'm full of uncertainty,
Wondering if I'll ever find that part of me I'm searching for,
A labyrinth of intertwined thoughts, where the echoes of doubts constantly resonate,
Like a river flowing endlessly, taking me on unknown paths of the soul.
Every step is a battle with shadows, a search for the light hidden deep within,
When the heart remembers the times when faith was simple and clear,
Now, lost in a thick fog, I seek the fulcrum to find myself again,
In a world that changes incessantly, like a dream from which I cannot wake.
I gather strength from memories, from moments of courage and instants of peace,
From the brilliance of a clear morning when the sun warmed my soul,
And I try to remember who I truly am, beyond doubts and fears,
For deep in my heart, I know my true power awaits to be rediscovered.

Premium Member Three Positive Traits

               you've got a tenderness...
 about you; instantaneously
                e v i d e n t
in your eyes and bright smile.

                you are creative
in more ways than one,
                sharing your God-given gifts
with your community, the world.

               incessantly inquisitive;
whatever you lack
               in e x p e r i e n c e,
you make up two-fold in curiosity.

Premium Member Multiloquent Maud

Multiloquent maud incessantly talks all day
Nonsensical chatter by the way
I have to tune her out, for she hurts my ears
That she will notice is not one of my fears

For her mouth is open open open open open
I think that she is truly hope’n
That I will not have anything to say
For the conversation must go her way

Premium Member Me The Wind

I was suspected to have loved you like the wind
of which sometimes caused the snow storm
so severe that it has frozen your bone of passion.
Or the night wind,
equally shrinking your spirit to warm yourself.
You kept hoping of me to be the breeze
incessantly caressing you.
You have forgotten
that I have actually never existed.

Life is an Act

Life is an Act
As life marches on swiftly
As clocks tick incessantly
We, the shadows of existence
Act out our scenes
On the glorious global stage.
Are we heroes, are we failures?
Does the audience applaud or do they jeer?
Or do they bawl?
Our acts can enthrall
Or it can decimate us.
Are we role models?
Are we unworthy actors?
Do the youth stare in awe
Or do they cringe in horror?
What lessons are passed down?
What values are cherished?
Culture is eroded.
Language undergoes change.
Morals, ethics and values are mouthed
Devoid of meaning and understanding.
Words are spoken without feeling.
Actions robotic and plastic.
