Get too close and i tend to push away
Come real close and ill be prayin that you stay
ion fk with these hos
from them i breakaway
my phone look like a funeral
all these dead bod-ays
contact name the tombstone
revisit text like a grave
walk thru the cemetery alone
wish some of them stayed
where they are is unknown
some of them betrayed
while i was on mars no bruno
drift away with space
Me,Myself and uno
you wasn't the one for may
switch and change like seasons go
like the moon just a phase
romance filled with chemicals
in my heart you were laced
at a point intangible
now its toxic waste
view em all as expendable
few i loved their taste
some like a cannibal
its you that i crave...
Cats are not cold—they’re comets trailing kindness,
As affectionate as stars that never stray from sky,
Through Ginger’s emerald eyes, tenderness thrives.
As your black heart
is without hate,
it can not hurt
by the swords of hate,
as the Holy Spirit
dwells in it.
Dear little bird,
I’ve so hard been trying to hold on to you,
But I’ve seen lately your making me aside
And that might be because you’re ready to fly.
I’ve seen you have made friends besides me,
I’ve seen you grown up from your little home,
And I know your not so little anymore
So I know it’s time for you to fly.
Oh, but I want you so badly to stay with me forever;
That our memories won’t devanish with new ones you’ll have on your way up.
Up, up, up so high you’ll never want to return.
But I’ve noticed it’s necessary.
I’ve noticed your ready to fly up so high and chase your dreams,
And oh so thank you for the memories we share,
But it's time for you to start new ones
And for that I cannot be sorrowful.
But don’t be discouraged,
One day I’ll reach up to you, and we’ll fly together,
Except I know it’s not my time but yours,
So fly up so high little bird
And don’t look back, because
One day I’ll catch up
And be right by your side,
Flying, for the rest of our lives.

Intimacy, the flame of Fall, claim of season’s hue.
Slumber of pup, forestall of Winter’s lumber and stress.
Raising pumpkins, blazing romantic lakeside debut.
A cozy chair. A lantern there. Guitar in wait.
An all-star refresh, as lover’s mesh in Autumn’s bless.
Scenic spot, hot drink to share, cold air to stimulate.
An ample wood pile to keep friendship burning bright, while
the shadows leap with leaf, the wind blows. With success,
a closeness stirs blanket. Soulmate sings, brings her a smile.
Old-fashioned parloring. Dreaming
of friendship with tea and cakes.
Feathered fascinators, blooming hats,
all dressed like a bountiful bouquet.
Chatterbox of lovely talk, liveliness
in eyes and lips. Excitement of togetherness.
A cozy of ladies is the best. Dress us up,
kiss us with tasty treats and sips of chai.
Such is the picture of yesteryear, placed
in the Southerner's space. Children pass by
with hardly a howdy-do. Little girls pleased
by a lit up screen, chattering at a box,
unable to size up the others by their character,
wearing ripped up jeans and too small shirts.
These girls don’t know the beauty of baking,
the blossoming of a glass teapot, the lumping
of sugar, an afternoon of nestling in proverbial
glow with sun streaming its shadows on the wall.
One girl glances up, her eyes fly off, like butterflies,
into the space behind the frame, the fragile glass
removed for this moment of time. Her great-grandma
smiles and weeps, holds hope for this progeny.
Suddenly, the girl of twelve, is whisked away in time.
She’s seated at a fresh set table, not questioning why.
gathered ‘round the table
smiles match, a kinship
develops in an instant
when Trust makes an entrance
dressed in fiery blue
souls warm then weave together
our differences subside
as Trust sits down to dine
S~ Scent of the shining, Pacific Ocean, eternally bless me!
A~ Arresting fog, may your droplets forever surround me.
N~ Nights of rainbowed streetlights, dance, engulfed by the sea!
F~ Friendships, ah,so transformative, we gave each other the space to be!
R~ Resurrecting the grand glow of our hopes and oh so shining individuality.
A~ As full, white clouds, we brought glimmering hope to humanity.
N~ Nights, we honored the stars and earth, with wonder and humility.
C~ Concerned were we, starting projects to end hunger, compassionately!
I~ I was more than blessed to participate in these fulfilling days of glory.
S~ Scents of fresh, amazing anitsef, another aromatic, scented story.
C~ Compassion not competitive these loving memories do be.
O~ Or it seemed like not a city at all, but anthologically, some divine country!

KEY: N-Neighbor
"An armless heart steals the pause that a calming reveals," ... by The Poet
He said his peace then looked at his timepiece
like he's forgotten
supine the sullen skies that spat in his eyes and
smiles with caution
while's till a bus comes counts his coins if funds
costs ride enough
who's minding Harry hairy-a bit much Wheaton Terrier
if off the cuff
jointly waiting sits coolly so natural well school he was
poor little fella
Spring fair cause of tales and dreams whip full sails
winds of summer
ride home be no difference thoughts well in silence
right for a poem
of love a life of good deeds still faithful without needs
proud to know him
the longest ride home short for a good mind to roam
if nothing else
N: You're out just a bit." "Harry!" ["He chose you to sit,
best of my pals! |^| |^|

us, in the ravages of life’s storms!”

My partner called out cars she sent
as we stood at opposite ends
of the work zone, and when
hers had passed, I called out mine
sending them along a narrow passage.
We found a common language
to communicate, and we made
small talk when things were slow.
The construction crew struggled
to settle each fresh coat of asphalt
over a moist bed of clay
of a two-lane in northeast Nebraska
arcing and curving over hills and valleys
between two unincorporated areas.
Black angus cows grazed
on a grassy hill, coincidental beauty found
in another time and place,
and a bull bellowed
to declare the spread his own.
After work my partner and I stood
outside our rooms at the hotel.
She talked about her husband
and I talked about a librarian
who read my poems.
While we spoke about our
lives back home, a light in the lot
shone a distant star.

To My First Dog
Long asleep in your unknown grave,
My companion, loyal and beloved
Throughout my youth’s growing years,
You cannot know nor now see
How you do still bring tears to me
With memories haunting
Of the ways our friendship yet remains.
Asleep so still…
With fury has over a half-century passed
Since daddy took me to choose you
From a wriggling, yipping litter of
Nine-week-old, black and tan, mutt pups
On a straw-strewn wooden platform set
Against a pet store’s window…All of you
Squirming and…begging
For a child about age nine — like me —
To come pointing, excitedly…begging,
“That one!”
As our black eyes met
— yours directly melting into mine —
Glinting great hopes…
(Remember? )
Now even there ~
In heaven’s waiting while dreaming,
In your halcyon grave’s space ,
You cannot know nor wonder
How love survives still
Holding onto smiles past the tears that grief brings
For a long and deep heart’s treasuring.

Thanks be to God———
Fall back I'll catch you
You've got nothing to fear
Let go, I'm open
I'm right behind you here
I'll cover you with all of me
I'll wrap you up inside
You're safe and you're secure
But for a little while hide
And be concerned for nothing
I'll take care of things
Let your mind and body rest
Soar upon my wings
And then when you are ready
Your spirit now revived
I'll open up and let you out
And watch you come alive
