a childhood

A childhood

Stony was the soil of my childhood
A tiny room above the stable
Cold was the night
A straw mattress and mice
Ice crystal on the roof
Dreaming of running somewhere
Anywhere but here
A pale dawn
The sun is white this morning
In the barn animals stir
No more time to dream
Tomorrow he will run away

Icebergs floated all around me –
frozen is no place to safely flee.
I fell down on an ice crystal,
then I heard you whistle
and felt myself turn towards bold
so I could leave this place so cold.

So many crevices and cracks.
Frigid ice coated my back.
A glacier's huge backhand
flew our memories to slush land.

As my shivers began to shake,
I felt my knees tremble and quake.
Love never knows its hold on tomorrow.
Days are not warm laced against sorrow.

Your repeat, sleety emotion
will not ease glacial commotion.
Frozen mist will not reinstall
your flaming, toasty love recall.
I bear your gift of numb fraught,
that will thaw in icebergs not.

A Mystery

Snow drifts in front of the cars high beams
finding their death in the sharp white
far away into the night
The Engine silently hums through the frosted night
leaving no tracks in the freshly fallen snow
autos black beetle Shell
dark against the indigo sky
reflecting no stars no moon no light
just to pinpoints of high beams
Slipping through the night
silent
stealthy it glides
Snow drifts in its wake
moving forward into tomorrow
Not an ice crystal brakes
waiting for the world to awake
to a mystery

Crystal Meth

lets be friends ,you and me
together we can try to be free
ill tell you one and many lies
till you believe in my disquise
ill be your friend and own your mind
till all you do is try to find
search for me ,yes you will
i can give you the ultimate thrill
the tricks i play in this game
will render you never the same
ill steal your soul,to never return
take you to hell and watch you burn
i will command your thoughts and drive you insane
watching you as i steal your brain
you came to me for some cheap high
now your mother starts to cry.
your friends are gone, some are dead
your family is broken,is enough said?
you will try to escape me
but i will never let you be free
others have tried to run from me
but they cant escape my tyranny
we are now friends, you and me
as we lay together cant you see
as you die ,ill be there
pretending that i give a care
you friended me ,remember that
many nicknames i go by
whatever you call me is up to you
i own you now ,own your soul
i am ice ,i am rock,
i am crystal meth
i am evil and cause death,
do not try and be my friend
stay away till your end

Togetherness

Togetherness

Have you ever seen those beautiful sky paintings known as Fire rainbows?
You are one of them sparkling my life.

Have you ever seen those halos known as Ice crystal in the clouds?
You are one of them chilling my life.

Have you ever seen the spinning column of flames?
You are one of them when we often fight.

Have you ever seen those cute penitents?
You are one of them when I see you every day.

Have you ever seen Pele’s hair?
You are of them when we wake up together.

Have you ever seen the Blood Falls?
It is when we stop talking even for a minute.

Have you ever seen the desert roses?
You are one of them who blossomed my life.

Have you heard about giant permafrost explosions?
You are one of them when you get angry.

You are my rainbow eucalyptus and waterspouts.
You are clonal tree groves and eternal flame falls.
You are the spotted Lake and Nacreous Clouds.
You are my Green sand beach and starling murmuration of black sun.

Parade

You breaketh my soul
where am I to find it now that you've taken control
neglecting the tide
my fountain of youth placed there by your side

Never shun the forgotten sinner that by shame ever to stay in remembrance
strained to be as Temperance
flawless by standards of mind playing amateurs in times glance
my savoring heart will not bludgeon yours if you offer it your stance

Procure me to the parade
hover moonlight shade
blue turns to jade
stay with the lovers heir to which we have made
peer into the ocean of silver ice crystal streams
seeing our fate in my dreams

Call of minds refuge
upon weary lands of ode
memories kept under deluge
to decipher the code

Forgiven are ye who walk upon the stony grave of deserts loom
swept ashes by grace unbound naked as a cleansed fume

Premium Member Transient Eternity

Spinning, wheeling, turning,
a streak of light across the universe.
My soul, my spirit, all that I am,
gone in a brief flash
here in this place, this earth,
but everlasting in the cosmos.

Searching, reaching, touching,
my soul, my spirit,
all that I am, winds itself,
binds itself around your soul,
your spirit, all that you are,
a steady beacon, an endless column of light.

I am a sparkling ice crystal
reflecting the beauty of your comet self,
the tinkling sound of glass
shattering in the cold,
a lower note, not lesser,
harmony to your rich symphony.

From galaxy to galaxy we whirl and turn
leaving in our wake a melody of light,
of love immortal to those who scan the skies;
eternal in its perpetual newness,
yet all too brief for us,
forever is not enough time to love you.

For Hands That Do Dishes Can Feel As Soft As Your Face With Lime Green Hairy Lipped Squid

For hands that do dishes can feel as soft as your face with lime green hairy lipped squid
Surely if you set fire to the bush
you would have 2 cooked birds then
A stitch in time saves what
and why would we need nine of them
if at first you don't succee
Too many broths spoiled by cooks
Now for whom the bell tolls
i am partial to that
that macabre
toe tugging
tale of Victorian dead
announcing i am well
An apple a day keeps the doctor away
but a shotgun makes it permanent
When a tree falls in the forest
one more closer to no trees
if heaven has a edge
does it also have dimension
every cloud has a visible ice crystal lining

In the Snow

~

Winter swirls upon ice crystal skies,
snowflake pirouettes tickle your lashes
as we walk hand in hand, rosy red cheeks
frame a perfect smile, your eyes twinkle
and my heart melts

Footprints decorate this path we stroll
through sculpted drifts of chilled bliss
and scattered birdseed mosaics
neath evergreen branches trimmed in white,
in a world that glistens

Shivered wishes and soft alabaster dreams
gather like snow geese
frolicking, foraging for food
as I lean in to kiss you
and your lips taste sweet

Quiet whispers float across a frozen lake
as we sit upon a wooden bench
holding each other tightly,
not for warmth, but for love,
which we share on this cold December day. . .

in the snow

Idling

"Idling"

Cool cold froth
slides across their pages
they whirl their congratulatory comments
like pucks across ice crystal cut sharp and precise
waiting for return compliments
basting their words with oily accomplishment
slick and to strict recipe
baking like fat turkeys
with temperatures
mild and appetites easily
assuaged

How does a person come to this?

They think of words and throw them
to the wolves like sticks
for return

Wolves will take their words
strip all bones ragged of stories
bury them

and then silently,
without a backward glance

never return

“Their pooled emotions wouldn’t fill a teaspoon.”

“They sicken of the calm who know the storm.”

“That would be a good thing for them to cut on my tombstone:
Wherever she went, including here, it was against her better judgment.”

Premium Member I Wanna Be Free

I wanna walk up a mountain
swim in the wide blue sea,
walk across life’s busy highway
just to taste of that which is me.

I wanna drive on tracks of steel
pilot an aeroplane,
sledge on slopes of ice crystal snow
be a fireman of a steam train.

Lord please grant me mobility
attach my legs an arm,
I am a freak of chemistry
a product of a human-farm.

There was so much morning sickness
the tablet in array,
yet society lives a lie
chained in subjective disarray.

I wanna travel to the moon
trial zero gravity,
go where there is no resistance
fill the void my life’s cavity.

I wanna have a chance to live
the human way a wife,
to love and cherish have children
normality without the strife.

I wanna sing a hopeful song
forget there’s so much worse,
tell don’t take all things for granted
nor heed that of the siren’s curse.

I wanna earn an emotion
feel the way you all do,
build a bridge to understanding
and give you all my point of view.
