Premium Member Weekly Card Game

Every week, my dearest day
is when my buddies and I partake and play
our regular contest of cards.

What's great about codgers and cards
that would make an old duffer's day
and inspire pensioners to play?

I dunno, but I think I will peacefully play
with these jokers, and cut ups, and cards,
and these goofballs till my dying day.

It's our day - time to play cards - goodbye!

Premium Member my phone alarm went off and it was labelled, 'Brad Pitt'

i dunno why
but have you ever come across a Somersetshire mob?
i'm talking squalls and screams in the night
sister of Satan stuff
i'm looking for people with a reputation for learning
and sobriety
will i find them?

i look through other alarms on my phone to see what they are called.
one reads, 'pretend to celebrate St. Crispian's Day'
i was intending to get in tons of balloons and pie

i saw the F1 movie and have recreated the press conference scene
in the kitchen. i am getting cheekier by the day.

Premium Member Dreamland Til Sunrise

Before being stymied by what I know
laced in the floating finesse of fireflies
I saw magic in little things like a glow.

No-one enjoys losing four in a row.
There was an infinite amount of tries
before being stymied by what I know.

My fairy godmother’s gift to bestow
rounded out the smile in her replies,
I saw magic in little things like a glow.

Always with such innocence to borrow
floating down from rainbow filled skies
before being stymied by what I know.

Wouldn’t even think to utter ‘I dunno’
my inner voice would never chastise,
I saw magic in little things like a glow.

The pitter patter of a childhood show
takes us to dreamland until sunrise.
Before being stymied by what I know,
I saw magic in little things like a glow.

Premium Member A Person of Interest

      Just a kid
        hardly knew him
      Seemed friendly enough
       nice smile, he wore

      When I last saw him?
Oh, I dunno. Few days ago
He was walkin’ toward the river
        come to think of it

     Friends. Yeah, one girlfriend
       though haven’t seen her lately…
Not much for sports, I don’t think
Kept pretty much to himself, you know

That’s about all I can think of
      I’ll be gettin’ along now…

Premium Member Frog Fur

Why do I like you? I dunno.
Maybe it's the way your bloomers show.
In your Scottish dancing clogs yer
smoother than a seal or frog's fur.

Premium Member All Of The Shades Of Blue

I always see shiny vehicles in all shades of blue.
It's sad I dunno how to drive, can never get a clue.
But at least I have a drive to not ever be someone untrue.

Premium Member THINK THANK THUNK

What do you think
Oh, I dunno
I guess I think
About what they think
Well what do you think about
What you think about they think about
I dunno
What do you think

Premium Member Dust in My Heart

Iznotso ezzy to defend it.
Dustit fliz, in air it blos

Life beginagin an then enden witit.
Three minuuts to hold dust in my heart.

Premium Member Old Dog, New Trick

I dunno -
I'm too slow.
It's no go.
This sad pup
must give up
piano.

Premium Member Enigma

Do you know?
I don't think so,
But I dunno.
You know?

Life's an enigma -
And everything in it.
I'd try to understand,
But I can't pin it
Down.

Experts abound.
They're all around.
I hear their sound.
They're so profound -
Like my leaf blower

...except funnier.

I solemnly pray
There won't come the day
When I can say
I understand
...Life...
Why solve it?
Evolve it!
Spin it!
I'm glad you're
In it!

Life -
Sometimes it's joyful.
Sometimes it's tragic.
But it's always
Magic.

Life's a mystery
As far as I can see.
To be or not to be?
Come and see me
Sometime.

I don't want to understand.
I just want to hold your hand,
Listen to the band,
And feel the
Magic.

Premium Member I Dunno

Motionless as time fleets,
finding a purpose to grow,
sewn my heart tight,
for too long,

Premium Member I Wanted To Write a Poem Using Heroic Couplets, But I Dunno What They Are

there's a bloke i know, who keeps going on
about his bowels
but besides that, i am attempting a poem
which uses meter effectively
you know, so it has rhythm and stuff
and subtle 'feminines' at the end of iambic pentameter
so that it creates something
but i haven't got the time for this
like watching a peter jackson movie, sitting
there
in the cinema, thinking..."i've got stuff to be getting on with."

Premium Member Smiles Are Free

Been feeling a bit down lately
Weather's a factor but it's more than that
Seems my upbeat manner is starting to sag
The world's in a mess, a very sad fact

It's not unusual, been like this forever
It's been the human condition since year one
We expect if everyone tries extra hard
We once again will make life fun

A bunch of dreamers, that's what we are
But dreaming sure won't make it so
As hard as we try, it's the human condition
What else can we do, I dunno

Perhaps if we wake up with a smile on our face
And live in our own little world
It surely won't be a revolutionary approach
But will keep life from being unfurled

While I Slept

While I slept , the world kept turning
I dunno why
I just know it to be true

Maybe tonight while I sleep it will stop and I will be carried off into a unknown destination
A place where there is not more self hate
Somewhere where my mind can stop asking questions I have no answer too

Maybe tonight I can find peace

But until then
The world will keep turning
And I will keep wondering why

Premium Member I Boiled Two Eggs That Were Already Boiled

i dunno why that happened
you'd think that
would
possibly be a common
occurrence;
eggs are egg-shaped
for
the hen's benefit
round eggs?
think
about it... i
did
when i was boiling
the two eggs
that were already
boiled
