Like a kite in the summer sky
The signs were there, easy to see—
A looming end, dark as night
Yet she soared, an owl in daylight
Blindly, she tied the knot
A Gen-Z tied to a millennial.
Their days were songs of endless joy
Unaware of what greed could create.
But as months replaced those golden days
Laughter was drowned by dread.
The hypertension he'd battled for years
Climbed like Everest, leaving her cold.
A young widow, she stands alone
With whispered stories chasing her shadow
Of a heart now hollow and far too affected
By a life too brief, and a love too narrow.
Ocular hypertension and
A couple of jabs here
I read the letters on the chart and
Threw in the towel
But she was adamant

Anyone? Someone?
Ahoy mates!
Savior?
Reverie? Ben-Hur?
Is there anyone alive out there?
Can anyone hear me?
You just have to win, Good Steed!
Do I say the Angel’s Creed?
Eyes to be on your praised speed,
Often mind me and strokes heed,
Flying like you had smoked weed,
At speed betraying mind of greed…
You don’t talk of losing, Steed;
I’ll fetch you your choicest bead,
Have you in richest field feed;
Above foals treasure your seed…
In do-or-die affairs lead,
A win like air I need,
Not shuddering like a reed;
When goes the shot your win read...
Means, then, my poor heart shall bleed
And blood hypertension breed,
If something should make my Steed
Forget supersonic speed…
After injection,inhalation,or ingestion,the first symptoms to appear are muscle spasms.They appear very quickly after inhalation or injection within as few as five minutes and take somewhat longer to manifest after ingestion,typically approximately 15 minutes.With a high dose,the onset of respiratory failure and brain death can occur in 15 to 30 minutes.If a lower dose is ingested,other symptoms begin to develop,including seizures,cramping,stiffness,agitation and hypervigilance.Seizures caused by poisoning can start as early as 15 minutes after exposure and last 12–24 hours.They are often other adverse symptoms, including hyperthermia,rhabdomyolysis,myoglobinuric,kidney failure,metabolic acidosis,and respiratory acidosis.As poisoning progresses,tachycardia(rapid heart beat),hypertension(high blood pressure),tachypnea(rapid breathing), cyanosis(blue discoloration),diaphoresis(sweating),water-electrolyte imbalance, leukocytosis(high number of white blood cells),trismus(lockjaw),risus sardonicus (spasm of the facial muscles),and opisthotonus(dramatic spasm of the back muscles,causing arching of the back and neck)can occur.

Bouncing from frustration’s grim aftermath
My faith ascends to withstand, cope and face
Praising God for bestowed triumphant* grace
As brave warrior surmounting failure’s wrath.
Recovering from well-being's distress
Amidst hypertension diagnosis
My heart shines for radiant prognosis
Cleaving to Christ, my Lord, the great fortress.
Blest with hope, propped by enlightenment-gain
My soul prevails to learn from wisdom’s wealth
Treasuring eternal lessons of divine health
To share bliss, love, and peace, never in vain.
Propped for inevitable storm's arrival
My will marches on steadfastly fervent
Trusting the Lord Who controls each event
Victorious still, beyond mere survival.
Grateful to overcome personal battles
While reaching-out to those in pain with care
My spirit remains joyous against despair
Braced by the Saviour, vanquishing rattles.
*2Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ…

Occupied Minds
Looking into every minds, no mind is free;
every mind is occupied with something.
Wicked minds are occupy with;
hates, angers, discrimination, evil plots, and war;
yes, war that kills the innocents.
cardiac arrest, hypertension,
increases as our minds never;
stop to occupy with numerous things of the world.
Your mind is occupied, their is occupied; my mind is occupied with;
things that shorten our days, our mind occupied them all.
Some minds are occupied with love, romance, dating,
Wealth, job, investment, corruption.
Only few minds; are occupied with the sufferings of others.
Our minds is like the dust, that can’t do without particles;
To live longer and healthy, filter your mind.
What occupies our minds, kill us faster than disease;
Filter your mind, then its dust will not cause you death.
Freedom to our mind, freedom to our soul, freedom to all diseases;
occupy your mind with God’s word; His words empty all our worries.

on the way home,
i change the new map
to the longest scenic route
though my Sweets is waiting for me,
i cannot find myself to punctually return
i stop at a newly built rest area because my hypertension is expressing
the mess i made will not go away like my atrial flutter
it just sits in wait like the many times before
my Sweets snaps me out of my fantasy world with a text
always the realist half, she gets on me a bit and asks if i am close to home now
i reply by telling her a multicolored lie about my bladder and a harsh deluge
she replies with an 'unhappy' emoji,
so i start the car, cut on the air, and continue my unfortunate trek back to reality
rental cars and women, tsk tsk, forever the realists
i make it back on time by the skin of my teeth
my Sweets runs to me with open arms and a smile
in my ear she whispers 'i was preparing to kill you'
i reply by whispering in her ear with a sigh of pure contentment 'i know'
Once,
my little mind
saw pills as sweets
and longed to take sweets
when she eventually,
ripened.
i am sixteen now
and mama
takes the sweets
given to her
for hypertension and back pains
and sour lips and migraines.
please for tomorrow's sake,
i do not wish
to take this sweet pills
again.
sound does not travel in a vacuum,
that's why i woke up normally.
I took my pill for hypertension
and I boiled the coffee
that I spilled on the apartment balcony:
some meteor cut off a third of the moon!
what a morning sky!
what colors!
the spectacle of hallucinated people
running terrified down the street
everyone clinging to their cell phones
ridiculously looking for salvation
and the rain of rocks!
and the insane wind with it's letal breath!
what a storm!
what a death!
Once,
my little mind
saw pills as sweets
and longed to take sweets
when she eventually,
ripened.
i am sixteen now
and mama
takes the sweets
given to her
for hypertension and back pains
and sour lips and migraines.
please for tomorrow's sake,
i do not wish
to take this sweet pills
again.
I have noticed, for what it's worth,
A provocative title gets attention;
A bawdy limerick generates mirth
But, often, a bit of hypertension.

when hunger howls & roars like lion
throwing rocks and pebbles at sun-drenched back
flipping its razor like fangs on helpless tummies
and striking with a devouring aplomb on defenceless intestines
i will thrust my head in between, recklessly
and die happily for you.
when dawn hastily runs and meets dusks
mind suffers as hypertension beats its devilish drum
reminding the pockets that emptiness is madness
a memory dead is brought alive to torment its bearer
agony painted the face with its beauty
because, i will die for you
when authority sent back children home
after endless whipping on their soft buttocks
allowing innocent tears to Cascade their saintful cheeks
for levies that levelled my moutainous hope to nothingness
i shall bald my head as a sacrifice to cement
because, i will die for you
i die in the morning, noon and night
i die blaming myself for my failures to meet your needs
i die seeking for solutions to end our woes
like a head abandoned by its body after a cut
i will fall & die for you, again & again
but if I may ask, will i live in your hearts?
Since getting old, I now walk like a penguin
Wobbling describes it, could be water retention
All that being said
More that I dread
A load in my nighty causing hypertension
Since I've turned 3 quarters of a century old
And have a hole in my heart I'm told
Sitting on top of that a small tumor
This definitely isn't a run away rumor
I am old and slightly fat(well some say obese)
Controlled diabetes on top of that
Hypertension makes its mark
Sometimes I even seem smart .
Then coronavirus hit the world
It set our lives in a whirl
So grocery shopping is done online
It takes me twice as much time
I carefully place my total order
After asking my husband if he needs water
And my grandson what snacks needed
Then click the button and I 've conceded
In a few days we ride to acquire
What the staff at Wally World think I desire
Well, I may not have tissue to wipe
my nose and my derriere but some grapes(what luck!)
Each week I play Russian Roulette
With exactly what I will get
I hope the circumstances play a part
For my husband likes me shopping a la carte
I may even buy a small camera
Slip it in and say I ordered Samera(he'd never know)
I could start getting more of what I desire
Less to cook so we can eat like a highflyer(get carry out)
