Goodbye Hollywood!

With Fond Memories, we'll all say Goodnight.
Goodbye, for now, maybe we'll get a Bite?
The thrill that we "Hoped," we'd see on the Screen,
Was "SO PREDICTABLE" from Scene to Scene!

Every "Horror Flick," is just like the Last!
Same Boring Plot, same Boring Cast!
The "Cinema's," are Over-Refrigerated,
And the "Dialogue," is only Regurgitated!

Half-hour in, you glance at your "Swatch,"
It

Hollywood Knights

Built on envy
and city lights
The vagrant actor
alone at night

In hidden alleys
with tinsel thorns
On celluloid
new lies are born

A big screen promise
of broken dreams
The waitress car hop
on Wilshire scheme

Drugged on stardom
with toxic friends
What footlight’s start
— the darkness ends

When You Get Old

When you are old not much seems new
But technology trolls and cars suck too
I like the old cars with frames solid heavy
Does good a heart with your foot on the levy 

New clothes aren’t new they’re copycats
Except the ripped new clothes not made to last
I miss the elegance that Hollywood once had
People barely dress now,

In Paris, society people unironically dress for dinner, go to cocktail parties (where the hostess has an obvious drinking problem), dine with Catholic Bishops, industrialists, politicians and occasional celebrities (usually for charity) in places dripping with atmosphere.

I met this famous actor once (July 2019, pre-covid, I was 15), at one of these summer parties in

I went to the Hollywood studio meeting
Paul, Steve and Sandy gave me a warm greeting
I was there to advise them, hired from Spain
My motto in business was no pain, no gain
So we sat down to the business at hand
Their movies were sinking, like stones in quicksand.

"How about a cowboy movie," I said...

If only you could just scan the
Screen of that scene Hollywood 
Dream! Lately though I been thinking
Of seeing a matinee and that the time
Is right. Yet instead I'd just rather
Be fed the glamorous life. I think
Might just have to stay home hoping

     Looks fade

It’s an amazing situation.
Came right out of the blue.
I had to pinch my arm to
Convince myself it’s true.
They want to film my novel,
Offered an amazing price,
No more nine to five drudgery
Which sounded so very nice.
