Hold your head up high and put on a happy face.
Good things are coming your way.
Call it what you will be it karma, fate, or grace.
Good things are coming your way.
Don’t tell me that the future’s looking bleak.
Don’t say that life has lost all its mystique.
Don’t sit there on your duff and just complain.
Find the silver lining and forget about the rain.
Don’t act as if the sky is falling down.
Don’t let your face be frozen in a frown.
Don’t concentrate on cups that aren’t half-full.
Shake off all your worries, though we know it’s difficult.
Don’t let the bad news make you lose your smile.
Don’t let judgmental people change your style.
Don’t let the shadows ever dim your light.
Chase away those boogiemen and keep the sun in sight.
Hold your head up high and put on a happy face.
Good things are coming your way.
Call it what you will be it karma, fate, or grace.
Good things are coming your way.
I rebuke all of the negativity
I rebuke satan and its troops
I rebuke the rude attitudes
I give gratitude
I rebuke the spirit of downsizing me
I rebuke the evil words
Because Jesus is in control
I can see the hidden faces
Beyond the all-around places
My trust is in the one above
Jesus I truly do love.
AMEN ND AMEN.
***Note:
(A Nugget)
Sometimes SOME people want to put you in a box and talk about you. But they do not really know you. Judgement comes in all forms. Overall, keep on trusting in JESUS. Hold your head up high. Be a blessing to your enemies. Be of great encouragement.
My perception of the world is illusory art
The darkness is absolute
Women suffering violent abuse
From the one who said, “I do.”
Men and women pushing dope
To innocent souls searching for hope
Carjacking, kidnapping, and kids without a father
Rape, fraud, human trafficking and manslaughter
Women tearing down each other and disrespecting their mothers
Men trample over society causing everyone to suffer
Shackles, chains; imprisoned in the brain
Depression and suicide
The world is insane
Neglected children needing somewhere to hang
“Hey Lil’ Bro come join our gang.”
There in the wake lies the devil’s den
Next level self-destruction surrounded by sin
Drive-bys, Do or die
We are brothers Fam
Lay down yo’ Life
“Do it for the homies, don’t let down the tribe!!”
Now you have a teardrop
For all the bodies that dropped
The executioner's face stays hidden
The judge handed you a sentence
Yet, you hold your head up high
Beaming with empty-headed pride
Because you didn’t snitch
On the one who left skeletons in a ditch
Their crimes stay hidden
The Hood Tale legend
“You can never get out!”

Tomorrow will be better
Even if there are clouds in the sky
Hold your head up high
You will get by
Look all around you
When everything's blue
Go for a walk
Listen to the birds
Nature is true
Life is a roller coaster
An ocean, a river
A storm then the calm
Happy and sad
Good and bad
Happy times will come
Believe its true
Be in the present
The here and now
Don't worry about tomorrow
The moment will pass you by
Time does fly
You may have scars that tell a tale
Of trauma faced, of battles won and failed
But it's not the pain that made you strong
It's the fight within that kept you going all along
Don't let the past define who you are
You are more than just a survivor, you're a shining star
Sometimes you don't get what you want
But trust that life has something better to flaunt
Take care of yourself, and your heart
Sometimes it's best to not care, to play your part
In healing, in loving, in finding your way
Don't be afraid to take a break, to rest and to play
Trauma didn't make you stronger, my dear
You did, with your courage, your resilience, your cheer
So hold your head up high, and let your light shine
For you are a warrior, a champion, a soul divine
F-irst love and best friend
A-lways taught me to be kind
T-hat encouraging smile
H-ealing the sick, to count on faithfully
E-yes that saw beyond what could be
R-eal life hero right next to me
S-ilent strength with a tender heart
D-octor by profession, working tirelessly
A-lways would say hold your head up high
Y-oung at heart, great was his company!

Hold your head up high
Look into the sky
Don't let it pass you by
Because somewhere - a true love lies.
Don't think of giving up
Though it may seem rough
Just give it all you've got
Eventually you'll have to get enough.
Just sit back and relax the mind
Things will get better in due time
Just be patient and wait for the sign
Because this love will be one-of-a-kind.
It will be everything you've asked for
Listen for the knock on the door
And the footsteps on the floor
How will you be able to ask for more?
Just like a cloud in the sky
You notice it - and wonder why
Anyone would ever try
To create someone hard to identify.
But, love does have it's way
Just like the days
It's like something you crave
Or, a fire with a blaze.
So, keep holding your head up high
Looking deeper into the sky
Remember - don't let it pass you by
Because - somewhere - a true love lies.
Let the raindrops
fall
on your eyes
So that your tears
can be
cleansed from the sky
To wash away
all
of the sadness
inside your heart
Hold your head up high,
hope
comes from
above
Go, follow the rainbow,
to the far side
of love
Take a star journey
thru the
mirror clouds of joy
Follow the prism reflection,
to that twin soul
you been
dreaming of
Follow that beautiful rainbow,
to the forever side
of love

Rise, a new day has begun. It's time to rise. Rise above the pain, stand for what you believe. Rise above the ashes. Look forward and see your destiny. You are free to be.
Free to love, and free to laugh.
Rise to a new way of living. Embrace yourself, love yourself, and be yourself. Rise and hold your head up high don't you know you're special, a diamond in the rough. You have been through so much. Rise because you have come so far. God blessed you and he will keep you. He will lift you up from where you are so you will rise to the promise land.
From the beginning of creation God has said
Guard your heart
Many breaths his life in you it's true
God said
Guard your heart
Protected from all things all around you
Protected from the storms the rains that be
Bleed in don't bleed out
Be mindful and don't shout
Silent yet golden you have been chosen
Guard, guard your heart
Just
Start
Open up, your mouth
Hold your head up high
Rise up them arms and hands
Rejoice be healed praising
GOD...
has said above all things
GUARD YOUR HEART
why?
Because everything you do flows through it
My brother, my sister rise above it
Look out for those test.
And protect your self
Guard your heart from Humanity
Guard your heart from those demons be
Guard your heart even from yourself
Don't hold your breath to even Guard from yourself
Guard your heart and rise above it

Proverbs 4:23
From anthology "
As last surviving acorn,
I hang about all day.
My skin is smooth and swarthy
Beneath a chic beret.
Horse chestnuts call me puny
But I don’t really care
For Mother shared a secret
Of which they’re unaware.
She said ‘Son just be patient
And hold your head up high
For one day you’ll have branches
That reach up to the sky.
The birds will serenade you
Throughout your lifelong days
And you’ll provide a shelter
For squirrels in their dreys.
Though wintry winds may batter,
We oaks will stand our ground
And one day, little acorn
Your splendour will astound.’
So now if others mock me
And label me a joke,
I chuckle, knowing some day
I’ll be that mighty oak.

Early teens, mid-twenties
Who are you?
You thought you knew.
Finding yourself, and who you like
Noticing your different
And not alike.
You like girls
You like boys
The confusion, annoys.
With teared up emotions
Rippling your heart,
You can’t figure out
Where to start.
Confirming your gay
Is okay.
Embrace who you are
Everyday.
People will love you
People will care,
The ones that don’t
Will just stare.
Be proud of you
Hold your head up high,
As far as it will go,
Reach for the sky.
Love, who you love,
and be yourself
don’t be scared
to be oneself.
Believe, in who you are,
My thoughts are with you
From afar.
If he makes you laugh he will make you cry
Grandma said this, I never asked why
Don't get caught up, in all love's bliss
I'm guessing tears are not on your list.
Hear me well, I need you to get this
If he makes me laugh, he will make you cry
She said, One-day baby, the tears are going to come.
what are you going to do, scream, yell or run?
I'm preparing your heart, for that awful day,
just wanna make sure, my granddaughter will be okay.
If he makes you laugh, he will make you cry
Listen, Grandma don't and won't lie.
Remember to take your thorns with your Roses
Remember love, you chose this
I'm preparing you for what's coming soon.
This is real life and not a cartoon.
Listen, it will feel like you may want to die,
dry your tears, wipe your eyes and remember to hold your head up high.
Take heart that, tears won't last, and your anger will cease.
Please pray to the good Lord and ask him for his peace.
If he makes you laugh, he will make you cry.
Dirty Dirty Rose
Leave that one a lone
Gotta make sure her petals don't touch the floor
She has a good life
She not trying to be like you
Stop trying to open doors that don't pertain to your life
Hold your head up high
Don't look back
Stay focus on your life
Leave those dirty petals behind
How are they helping you
They have no life
There love is for the street life
They like to dances and drink all night
Man call them thot and whore
That's not your life rise your head up high
Walk with dignity and pride
Keep your petals from touching the floor
Keep your distance from those
dirty rose lifestyle.
I never knew how it felt to be strong;
when I was weak
To smile when life felt bleak
How difficult it is to love yourself
When you're full of self hate
There was nothing that changed the scene
By then, there wasn't a Beyond The Scene
Before there was a spark of light,
All there was, was a blanket of darkness
Surrounding me all the time
That, unfortunately was my plight.
A world full of hopelessness;
not knowing how to carry on
That was my life.
You tend to not appreciate love
When you don't see the hate
Then the meaning of a smile and laughter
Is long forgotten
What was once your heart is now abate.
I know now of strength and courage,
To fight to learn things right.
To pick yourself up when dealt with blows
To hold your head up high and fight
It's no picture of a mirage.
Change starts from within.
I was someone I didn't like,
I was a lost soul and utterly defeated.
I'm still finding myself
But I'm starting to be someone I like.
