Rise Above
You may have scars that tell a tale
Of trauma faced, of battles won and failed
But it's not the pain that made you strong
It's the fight within that kept you going all along
Don't let the past define who you are
You are more than just a survivor, you're a shining star
Sometimes you don't get what you want
But trust that life has something better to flaunt
Take care of yourself, and your heart
Sometimes it's best to not care, to play your part
In healing, in loving, in finding your way
Don't be afraid to take a break, to rest and to play
Trauma didn't make you stronger, my dear
You did, with your courage, your resilience, your cheer
So hold your head up high, and let your light shine
For you are a warrior, a champion, a soul divine
