If He Makes You Laugh
If he makes you laugh he will make you cry
Grandma said this, I never asked why
Don't get caught up, in all love's bliss
I'm guessing tears are not on your list.
Hear me well, I need you to get this
If he makes me laugh, he will make you cry
She said, One-day baby, the tears are going to come.
what are you going to do, scream, yell or run?
I'm preparing your heart, for that awful day,
just wanna make sure, my granddaughter will be okay.
If he makes you laugh, he will make you cry
Listen, Grandma don't and won't lie.
Remember to take your thorns with your Roses
Remember love, you chose this
I'm preparing you for what's coming soon.
This is real life and not a cartoon.
Listen, it will feel like you may want to die,
dry your tears, wipe your eyes and remember to hold your head up high.
Take heart that, tears won't last, and your anger will cease.
Please pray to the good Lord and ask him for his peace.
If he makes you laugh, he will make you cry.
