MOM, MY GUIDING LIGHT

Her heart is a warm, golden light
Patience is her title
In a distressed nine months, she held onto me

Facing changes and discomfort in her body
At the edge of losing herself, she held on
Waiting patiently with love and care to see my face

She held me with joy, with tears in her eyes when she held me
Her breast was my comfort and my survival
Her breasts sagged, but she still fed me with love and joy
Ignoring the physical changes she had

My cries kept her awake
Her hands soothe me
Her voice brings me joy
Singing lullabies with her sweet voice with compassion to put me to sleep
Sleep was not hers when I was awake
She woke up several times to see if I was okay

My discomfort, her heartache
My smile, her joy
When I'm disheartened, she inspires me
Her tongue is full of encouragement
She holds me up with her tongue when I fall
Her words and prayers keep me going

What love I have got
This love, a great treasure I hold
A great gift God showered on me??

I love you, mama, ?

Through life's journey, twists and turns,
Love's guiding light, her spirit burns.
From family's embrace to friends so dear,
Love's gentle hand dispels all fear.

With every step, with every stride,
Love's guiding light, her steps confide.
A beacon shining, clear and bright,
Guiding her path, day and night.

Love's guiding light, a radiant ray,
Illuminates the path, come what may.
With love's embrace, she'll find her way,
And reach her dreams, day by day.

Loves guiding light

Love, a tempest's steady hand,
Guiding me across the land.
Through storms of doubt and fear's dark night,
Your light has shone so ever bright.
Like a steadfast ship upon the sea,
You've weathered storms with me.
Through trials and tribulations' strife,
Love has been the source of life.
A beacon shining ever true,
Guiding me to paths anew.
Through darkness, doubt, and despair's deep night,
Your love has filled my world with light.
A force unwavering, steadfast, strong,
Love has carried me my life along.

Twinkle, twinkle, how you shine,
little guiding light of mine.
So many things for us to see.
We will see them, you and me.
Some will be for the first time.
Many mountains we will climb.
One day, I'll find love so true
when my flame takes me to you.
Twinkle, twinkle, how you shine,
little guiding light of mine.

Ever have I seen the light

It guides me on my way

Like a torch on a moonless night

Like the dawn of coming day

Like the North Star shining bright

Like a lighthouse on the shore

Oh praise thee thy guiding light

That shines forever more

Gifted with my guiding light
All packaged up and bright
Initial reaction was amazed
Blown away but acted unfazed
Words couldn’t express how I felt
My insides instantly began to melt

Wasn’t clear then but apparent now
What this opened up for me to allow
Pieces put into place over time
Building up courage for my climb

Eventually the fork in the road came
When I vowed to stop doing things the same
Helping me to break the link in the chain

But couldn’t have taken that first step
Until I met someone who had already leapt

May PanAfricanism be our guiding light

Let the paths of our ancestors remain in sight,
Their struggles, their dreams, their fearless might.
Nkrumah's vision, Sankara's spirit, Lumumba's grace,
Mandela's legacy, a beacon for our race.
Ghaddafi's resilience, a lesson to embrace
From Cameroon's plains to Sahara's gliding grace.

Under the vastness of the Atlantic sky,
In Senegal's savannahs, let unity fly.
Let Pan-Africanism fill every breath we take
From cradle to grave, for humanity's sake.
No lines drawn by foreign hands should divide
But shared minds and lands, our true guide.

Faith Over Fear

Faith over fear

I saw a guiding light in the darkest night,
It was the hope that kept me going
and the love that kept me growing.
I feel secured with this faith,
No challenge is too great to endure,
For I know that with each step I take,
my faith in the heart will never forsake.
Through every trial and storm I face,
faith is the anchor that keeps me in place.
It gives me strength to overcome,
to rise above and find the freedom.
When the journey seems long and slow,
faith is the spark that ignites the inner fire,
and lifts me up ever higher.
Faith is the voice that whispers in my ear,
when I am gripped by doubt and fear.
It holds me steady,
when the winds of life seem too heavy.
Faith is the promise of a brighter tomorrow,
when today is filled with mere sorrow.
So, let me hold on tight to faith's strong hand,
and trust that it will help me withstand.

Life’s Guiding Light

He stands alone against the twilight sky
while guiding weary sailors on their course
traversing every danger by and by
that coastal waters seemingly endorse.

A Beacon in the darkness lending hope
to ship-worn seamen at their journeys end,
this leading Lighthouse helping them to cope
with perils they can never comprehend.

His beams that penetrate the dark abyss
will lead us steady down life’s foggy path
to calmer seas within the harbor’s bliss
and always keep us safe from evil’s wrath.

With guiding rays that ever show the way,
forever He will lead us come what may.

Stands alone
Stoic , strong
Guiding souls
To where they belong

Solitary ,reliable
Never will depart
Beautiful in stature
Intriguing work of art

It’s only agenda
Is to simply convey
‘Follow my light’
‘I will show you the way’

Majestic lighthouse
A comforting sight
To those out at sea
In the dark of the night

An unsighted lamp that someone lighted
when you arrived with the mission of life,
illumines the unpaved dark path for you
to complete the journey you’re destined to.

The self-generated obsessive free-will
envelopes your mind with an unreal veil,
obscures the ordained destination He decides,
you would reach for you should at His will.

The unseen light from the omnipresent glow
floods your essence, but you don’t perceive,
for you construct the free-will encapsulating the ego
in the realm of fantasy shrouded in self-deception.

The designer’s all-pervasive light shines remotely
during the travel time allotted for your journey.
Its invisible rays will guide you like the pole star
to the end of your path where He waits for you.
