Gifted with my guiding light All packaged up and bright Initial reaction was amazed Blown away but acted unfazed Words couldn’t express how I felt My insides instantly began to melt Wasn’t clear then but apparent now What this opened up for me to allow Pieces put into place over time Building up courage for my climb Eventually the fork in the road came When I vowed to stop doing things the same Helping me to break the link in the chain But couldn’t have taken that first step Until I met someone who had already leapt
