GAINING THROUGH GIVING

“It is more blessed to give 
than to receive…”*
Thus says the Scripture
carnal mind can’t accept
yet spiritual heart regards as truth
in vanquishing selfishness
as well as covetousness-grip
and smiting greediness-enclosure.

Indeed, giving is gaining more…
yes, more joy, powered by sharing
while insuring blessings 
of divine abundance faith acquires
along sufficient provisions
midst supplies that meet needs, even wants
toward peaceful contentment
showered by heavenly

gaining weight wonder why

feed me butter
give me pie
gaining weight?
I wonder why

Siting in a recliner
for one hour, now two
kicking off my instincts
Maybe three will do

Sitting sedentary
barely moving at all
bring me chocolate cake
and don’t make the piece that small!

Gaining weight my pretty?
Gee I wonder why.
I want another piece of rhubarb.
Don’t be so chintzy with that pie!

Looking At the Past Gaining In the Future

The Past can cast a shadow on your life
At times you feel it stabs you like a knife
The weather in our lives will always change!
The seasons bring the shift we need
So that we can feed off any abnormality
Therefore, with confidence
 We can look at the past and gain in the future!

We all have gathered here together
And we have to leave together
Let us promise to each other

A small act of remembrance,
Will bring an iota of fragrance,
Let us prove our excellence,
By utilizing our brilliance

Let us always have zeal and zest
To do things to our level best
To say everything in a gist

The Cow Is Gaining On You

The cow is gaining on you! My aunt Martha said.
As a dolphin, I was embarrassed. My face got all red.
Bovine is winning! My grandma yelled a warning.
I pushed myself forward with dolphin super zing.

The cow is still coming! My daddy screamed out his face.
Ridiculous this heifer was even a contestant in a dolphin race!

O God of the universes of Creation as a whole

Like a dry storm that brought my age,
