Gaining Inner Poetic Peace

For Those Who Fret 


When, within yourself, you are able
to joyfully sing.
And not from another want their 
commenting.

This site is for poets, not a therapy
group.
If you hang out for comments, your
head might just droop!

Just be the genuine poet that you are!
When you can do that, my friend, you will
Realize you are fully a star,

If wise, one learns to grow up here.
To develop your craft, there is nothing and 
nobody here to fear.

If no comments show, let it be,
Just keep writing and one day, you will grin,
When you get your first POTD.

Definitely use forms, this gives you
great power.
From this site or any other.

Ask for specific comments, this helps
you most.
Please do not forget you created your poetry coast,
Your poetry is always, always, the foremost!

Takes eleven years...a good poet to be!
I am not one, just look and see.

Have a sense of humor, it’s OK to just
get a comment or two.
People-have family, jobs,illnesses and things
to do.

Love your poem, love yourself.
Even if ignored, God sees your work.
And smiles at it there, on the moonlit.

It's "all good" as they say. But I love how authentic you are and true to yourself, Pangie. I notice this poem is for those who fret. I think I stopped fretting very much a long time ago. I find it unethical for me to comment only so I get one. I will ask people once in a great while. I try to be authentic. I don’t buy into that phrase It’s all good. God bless all, whether approval or disdain...my preference, of course, vociferous praise. A little compassionate lie now and then, is OK with me. Madelyn Mckay October 13, 2021 at 5:04 AM People may read poems but never comment. They may carry something special with them from a poem but the poet may never know. The poem may cause them to act. On the other hand, they just may carry that special something l that tugs at their heart strings quietly. Thank you for all your poetry.
