Lately, I have not been in touch
Though, I like talking to you - much.
The reason, which I'll share with you
Is embarrassing, but true.

I have a brain and two good eyes.
So, I mainly see, and I'm mainly wise,
But a small part of me is not so smart.
I'd like to think it is my heart.

One thing I can clearly see -
Your old enough, to my daughter be.
You have beauty that is very rare,
While I'm old, skinny and have no hair.

Worse yet - my limitations are many.
Things I do, places I go - hardly any.
All this is fine - 'cuz we're just friends,
But this is not quite where this poem ends.

When I see you in a pretty dress,
The brain inside my head works less.
All the things above which I should know
Turn inside my brain to dough.

I don't want you to see a silly fight
Between dumb Dave wrong, and smart Dave right.
I don't think it would be very cool
To make you put up with such a fool.

Well, anyway, forget what I said
About my eyes, and about my head.
Excuse me if my behavior weirdly tends,
And you and I can just be friends.

Do It Yourself, Romance Poem

"Do it yourself,
As you don't  appreciate
my service," she said.
" Your anger won't fix this my love.
I have only you here.
So don't throw me
in the bin," he replied.
She smiled,
hugged
And kissed him.
He gained
Strength after winning her heart back.
" I don't know
How  I could be
Without your fully attention, " she said.
He was so shocked
to find out about her hidden feelings.
" Yes,  I am yours forever sweetheart.
I will be
 much  happy
to be buried with you, " he said.
She prayed for the wings to fly,
Far in the sky
With him.
She was over the moon.
As those sweet words
reminded her
About their honeymoon.
She wished to find a honeycomb
Which could be around.
" You made my day honey ," she said.
" I meant what I said , "
 he confirmed his word.
She lastly said
" Thank you so much
 my best friend. "

two birds nestled close
on the branch of a fir tree,
in the thick forest:
within shady depths, sacred
friendship thrives through all seasons

The Tale of Us

Awaiting tomorrow, so patiently still
Placating anxiety built up inside
Debating what outfit I need to prepare
Berating my fears as I push them aside

Perfecting my hair as I walk in the door
Expecting attraction, but something's askew
Reflecting on why the romance disappeared
Respecting our mutual friendship anew

Your Presence

It's just your presence
with and what
I flooded tea ; green tea from green leaves

You are there at yard
You are here at heart

It's just your presence when airs are blown away
mist and mystery but a dozen flowers jumps
away

Its just your presence with the wind
from what the wind
breaks the flips

on a certain river ; with a certain canion

I felt ;
I felt the blossoms when sun darks,
moon stands and stars traveling all around us

It's just Your Presence.

Fibres are dancing when Its just presence;
presence of minds

An angel is just shading and lights are awakening the morning birds.

Colours and Flowers

scarlet or crimson,
roses or violets
daffodils or lilies,
colours and flowers add beauty to life.
you are one such flower.

Dinner

Oh sorry excuse me miss,
Wow glad I bumped into you,
You made my heart do something,
I didn't know it could do,
Here let pick up your books,
Put them back in your hand,
I forgot what I was doing,
But I would love to be your friend,
What do you say we go out,
To dinner tomorrow night,
I’ll take you to the place,
That has a real good sight,
Don't be afraid now remember,
You bumped into me,
Or maybe I did the bumping,
But I’m sure it was meant to be,
So come on lets go,
Let me take you to this place,
I can't stop staring,
You have such a beautiful face,
Ok I will call you at eight,
So we can go to dinner,
Hey don’t worry about nothing,
You bumped into a winner!

Romance By the Lake

He was a romance by the beautiful lake,
She would dream of walking with him.

The Lord blesses us with this beautiful company,
You are simply thankful.

Now and then she would hug him in friendship,
He was very handsome and strong.

I believe in miracles and God says for the rest of your life
You should be happy and content.

Sometimes she would distant herself from the handsome prince,
Only to meet him again and embrace him.

There is a God after all she thought and was very happy,
They would have excellent conversations .

She thought I would like to share my life with this handsome prince,
They continued to be friends and she thought how blessed.

Spring Romance

The Spring came with beautiful blossoms everywhere,
The love for her prince stayed.

He was as handsome as ever,
Her romantic thoughts for him endured.

Spring walks to the exquisite conservation area,
The ducks were swimming in the pond causing ripples.

Geese were walking along the grass near the pond.
The giant evergreen and pines towered.

When you sat on the picnic bench beside the lake,
You could see the white lily pads and frogs.

There were wild flowers blooming,
Days when I would pick a bouguet

Place that in a vase in my living-room.
Reminded me of my young years.

Everywhere she went she would think of him,
She dreamed of walking with her prince.

God's blessing continue with his permission,
What is romance, a friendship beyond compare.

Weave Valentine Tissue

I was man of my own,
Lived my own,
Did all what I wished;
But then,
She came in my life;
I broke into two,
Lived for me,
And lived for her too;
Closeness and caress,
Between us was like,
Two bodies and one soul;
Dedication surged emotions,
Splitting us into three;
We two as warps,
Cohered the seed for future,
Tight between us,
Wove fine tissue of family,
We two lived for one;

Ambivalence

Often I think that time never comes back,
and so I accept the fact,
life has to move on,
certain thoughts hover on.

It takes decades to build such a strong relation,
It cannot be explained what makes you trust someone,
slowly settled to a point that, perhaps it's just a fascination,
The feeling got so strong, though the time wasn't so long.

Often I think that time never comes back,
and I was happy with it whatever be the fact,
Everything went against me, my friends began to hate me,
Still I didn't want to lose it, may what be the cost of it.

It was the first time I felt friendship being so strong,
doubted myself whether I am doing wrong,
But neither I bothered for the world, nor myself,
Just lived the moment coz I knew it wont last long.

Things turned altogether, friendship developed even stronger,
Is it love or infatuation, to be or not to be remains the question,
In my mind, there is a storm of ambivalence,
I lived it though, knowing that

Maybe it's my Perception, Maybe it's an illusion.

The Perfect Friendship

The morning hath sunshine
The night, a dollop of silver moonlight
The mirror, when one stands before it
Hath a reflection
That feels it's emotion
And so do I have
A perfect connection.
They say that life is
Akin to a play,
Where actors enter and exit at will.
I dare to disagree.
My life is but a melody
And melodies are made of many voices,
Instruments of countless choices.
Each one can choose to
Complement or counteract
My silent song.
But if another voice shall choose
To sing the very song I sing,
Imperfectly complete with every high and low note,
Then that is what I call
The perfect friendship.

Once Upon a Romance

They met at a friends cottage,

Their parents were friends,

The church our favorite umbrella,

Hours of friendship and companionship guested,

She with him and he with her,

The future was there if they ever fell in love,

Dreams of a tender caress,

A moment and infinity could be a reality,

Building a home and a future,

How complex humanity,

The beautiful sounds of nature,

Like a Walt Disney movie, songbirds and rippling brooks,

The sound of the wind could be heard.

Friendship To Remember

Meet someone a year ago
Have stuff in common with them
Half way through the year
You realize you like him
Then you ask you’re self
Are you friends
Or more!

Haiku
