My soul feels shattered
Dreams lie all scattered
A heart once beating with fire,
Now cold and battered
The sky once painted with blue,
Is torn and tattered
Yet in each fragment of pain,
A hope is gathered
For even dust of despair,
Can bloom when weathered
Aah Beloved Moon ! Into a river of ferns you
make me swoon —
too soon I drop into mossy depths where
silvery you follow my deepest breaths
slippery is this solitary embankment
with turquoise Venus Love Fragments
radiating nature’s arty essence in
Presence ~

Seasons.. they come and go,
Ah, fleeting flocks of flamingos.
Hope.. evanesces into nothingness,
Like camphor in a white, silent bowl.
Passion.. my broken wings of brass,
Duelling against the might of fate.
Illusions.. desert mirages,
Bidding us farewell before sunset.
Faith.. like running water,
Slips through our teasing fingers.
Solitude.. the chatter of a silent mind,
Dipping thoughts in a thick white fog.
Old age.. the remembrance,
Of all that lingers within..
As a king, as a slave,
As a hater, as a lover,
As the brave, as the coward..
I prosper and perish,
Yet remain the same,
Still, I search for my identity.
Washed up by tide fragmented rocks mingle with sand

Every Breath You Take — The Police
Total Eclipse of the Heart — Bonnie Tyler
Against All Odds — Phil Collins)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They dance behind my ribs, these ghosts~
Every breath you take,
Every move you make,
I hear them still, though the speakers are cracked.
The night is a bruise, purple-black,
Turn around, bright eyes,
but the stars won’t rise,
just the hum of a neon vacancy sign.
And the odds? They laugh in my face.
How can you just walk away
when the ache stays,
a cassette tape jammed in an old machine~
rewinding,
rewinding,
but never
playing clean.
In the war against herself, she’s outnumbered
She’s hoping she passes away in her slumber
She curses the sun for shining loud and bright
But hopes to grow wings and finally take flight
Hollow, chaotic yet empty expressions
Emotions that constantly fight for attention
Her eyes are filled with tears, her vision hazy
Her spark is fizzing out, and people call her lazy
Betrayal, loneliness, detachment, and confusion
After trials, these are her emotional conclusions
Slowly but surely, pieces of her will fade away
She’ll escape her cage, and you’ll beg her to stay
i fear that i become the love i once afraid to get
the affection i had left behind—
the roses i gave in
without any expected return
because a gained respect for them
is a disgrace of my own
i had to beg for answers to be answered unsure of
an explanation i didn't even know if the question
i had asked, or just another curiosity that i'd think of,
you're maybe enlightened i feel this way
a cry of prayers, silent scream in pillows
"please, hear my agony. i am begging to be truthful to love"
for only if could sell my soul, i am six deep under of what you're standing on.
i wish i did that, anyways
i had regrets about how my innocence ate me whole
that even my heart became blind when i told her to heal
but then hurt someone else's soul,
God, rest thy soul,
i was fearfully and wonderfully made
but i made me to love fearful to them.
can only start near end
remember let touch send
text tow wind knot unkind
several almost always blind
sans sanctions dubious doubt
say mean like when what shout
carries sharing showing how
onward fast firm never bow
talking points pants unknown
leaves most places all alone
random rules ruin rights rot
cools unnerves calms hits spot
late early loose worm kills bird
silent talks sounds rarely heard
wonder if of out with not who
plays things spams let capture you
good spear into through core
trembles minds hearts bodies more
remembers few less censored
fragments fails points scored
I said I couldn’t write
for I am an empty pen,
my ink wasted
on letters no one will read.
Torn, crumpled,
fed to the black hole
of a trash can.
Now I write of silence
Etching words into wood
For I have broken my vow with the papers
It isn’t determination,
nor delusion
just a moment,
a fragment that insists on staying.
And still, I write
not with ink,
but with the sharp edge
of a pen
long drained of stain.
I wish fragments were anonymous.
Tear up my name.
I am way too clumsy.
Way too mortal,
For their fleeting grace.
As stars close their tired eyes
when darkness fades the day
they slip slowly out of sight
and cloud-shrouded yesterday's
no more in play
say goodbye to a watercolour sky
the rain washed away
O say can you see morning has broken
raising the curtain to curtail night
daily they do it that way before we've woken
and all the king's horses and all the king's men
by the crack of dawn’s early light
will pick up the pieces
and put sunup together again
as each sunrise creeping comes calling
over the window sill
lifting the fragments to rebuild morn
so a new tomorrow can keep crawling
'til it is newly reborn
I write of fragments in my life
things written in diaries for attics
of memories- now just bones and dust
for those lost loves that still shatter my heart
of the people who sailed in gliding ships and left
and those who turned against me and left me broken
Do not build a ladder
when I fall into the abyss—
I did not call for climbing.
The thorn in me
is not a riddle to solve,
nor a window to repair.
I am thunder, not your project-
rain needing witness,
not your umbrella.
When I say I’m drowning,
do not throw ropes of reason.
Let me sink into your silence—
weightless, unrescued, yet unalone.
Be the shore that does not move
as my waves thrash and settle.
My pain is not a puzzle.
Don’t match it to your pieces.
It is a wild bird—
let it wheel, let it scream, let it land
uncaged cage on wild earth.
You see my storm
and lash advice like scaffolding,
but I need someone
to taste the torrent,
to say yes—it bites, and burns,
not someone who murmurs
“you should have stayed inside.”
To love me is to shhh,
to hold space as sacred,
to hear with your cells,
not just your ears.
