Now, it is time for us to part
I think of you, my dearest heart;
in that, my sanity sustain;
for some of you does yet remain.
I’ll take your now cold hand in mine
and while, once more, they do entwine;
soft whisper all my vows again
for some of you does yet remain.
When only ashes I have left;
I will forgive the burning theft
and so forbear my ugly pain
for some of you does yet remain.
I’ll nightly rest my weary head
and dream within our marriage bed
then sleep where lovers often lain;
for some of you does yet remain.

I hear a voice in the dark of night
I hear it speak my name
‘Tis but a whisper, soft yet clear
By which it did my soul ignite
Though I know not whence it came
‘Prithee, child, come with me
See the blessed life of eternity’
I yearn for that glorious promise
Yet fear the deep dark yonder
Still I am drawn, the voice calls on
Though joy may seem as though amiss
Thence shall find the greatest wonder
‘Prithee, child, come with me
See the blessed life of eternity’
What then shall be, this journey to forbear
That which brought forth both dread and awe
Echoes resound, and this I found
That there awaits, past hope and despair
The radiant triumph, enduring, forevermore
‘Prithee, child, come with me
See the blessed life of eternity’

Is thinking sufficient
to turn us around
Cerebral in nature
as problems surround
For thousands of years
our nose to the stone
We’ve battled our nature
and mostly we drone
The answers elude us
the questions forbear
While sins of our fathers
live on in the air
The harder we toil
the greater we fail
All change in the wishing
— our fortunes entail

Springtime unfolds mystic winsome,
Vibrant rainbow blossom to come
Idyllic redolence fragrance.
Song retold on garden pleasance.
Error-less scents so admired thrum.
Springtime unfolds mystic winsome,
Dawn lightens fanciful golden
Purples, pinks, greens, quaint and olden.
As the fields tiny blossoms hum,
Sweet and tender jewels' outcome.
Springtime unfolds mystic winsome,
Where yet forbear spider hides from.
Dandelion fluff dance across
Green grass spirit free and crisscross,
Budding in and upon beach-plum.
Springtime unfolds mystic winsome.

In the shadow of death, his darkest secrets hide,
A devil’s bargain, where foul hidden dangers lie.
His vile whisper in the night, a most sinister plea,
Temptation’s dance calling, “Come waltz with me!”
His eyes as black as coal, with his sly, wicked grin,
The devil beckons you close; then he lures you in.
A Faustian deal to strike, with willing souls to sell,
For abundance of power, and untold riches as well.
O mortal hearts, O please heed all these warnings,
The devil’s deals are so hard, even for his darlings.
For momentary wealth, fleeting powers, and fame,
You trade your eternal soul, for perpetual flames.
The cost is too high, forever too long, fire too severe,
Weeping, gnashing of teeth, while you writhe in fear.
A devil’s bargain, the broadest primrose path of sin,
It will leave you with nothing, save darkness within.
So forbear the appeal, of the devil’s treacherous deeds,
But choose God’s light instead, if your soul is in need.
Take some advice, sage words from this wannabe poet,
A devil’s bargain lures assent, before you even know it.

"One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one, its the loneliest number since the number one" Beginning lines of a song I like sung by 3 Dog Night
Multiplied by ONE, numbers stay the same.
So unique is ONE, it is like the sun.
For me, it is the number of my name
in numerology, for I was “One”
when I was born. Did you know each letter
has numerical value? You can find
online your name’s number. Even better,
more numbers from your birth date you’re assigned.
ONE means confidence and self-reliance,
maybe selfish, but very self-aware.
I love alone time; dislike compliance.
For God and unity, ONE will forbear.
The loneliest of numbers ONE may be,
but I’m happy “One” is a part of me.

When twin souls peak in godly intercourse,
love's neither then so deadly nor so baneful!
Invite another in like a Trojan horse,
and the experience truly might be painful.
If torrid lovers can't forgive or forbear,
then carnal knowledge dies in hate and vice,
as heav'n and hell disintegrate in warfare,
and wanton lovers flee from wrath like mice.

I think of another
Let my heart surrender
With pleasure under
To give and render
The lost me to the other
Which is not my wonder.
She professes to be tender
But she's not like a mother
'Cause she desires us to be over
Denying me to be her lifeblood lover.
I am now resolute to turn a blind eye to her
Even though she is brighter,
But I can trade her for the better
To forbear my life from the deceitful breaker

" WAVE OF FANTASY"
She glittered in the dark, white hooves stepping on white stones
she was not far from her home when she knew - she was not alone
unicorns don't stare, this is what his mother taught him.
more beautiful than any mare, bare white, in the snow
he saw her standing there, drinking all alone
a glimpse is all it took - his heart forbear from falling for her
he crept underneath the silk waterfall
the moon had never shone so bright, it was as if she was the only person in the world that night.
Make haste! I must speak to her!
Running down the mountain he took flight.
It is not fate, for you to be alone tonight
he told her this and held his breath -
she replied with no resent
send me flowers, pale babies breath, I shall find you in the air.
but alas she could only find him in her dreams!

Today let's find a paradise and take a one way flight
If you can't make it I'll still go and wait there day and night
I'll look towards the horizon to see if you are there
And if you're not I'll try again, I never will forbear
The thought and hope that one day I will see you from afar
And from that moment on will know, no more maybe, we are
And then I can remove from me the part for you did yearn
For finally you have told me that you're able to return

You know you're in trouble
When folks burst your bubble
That your fine English accent
Most others lament.
Their eyes grow far larger
Their countenance harder
As they gaze with intent
To listen hell bent.
Their attention a treasure
At first such a pleasure
Until one quite grasps
Their facial contrasts.
As you blabber away
Their head starts to sway
To the tones of your words
Like a flock of wild birds.
Too late you catch on
Their attention long gone
It seems they got stuck
In your sonnet like muck.
Shakespeare or Keats
Moved out by those Tweets
Leaves you silently grasping
And for sympathy asking.
Your hope turns to prayer
That perhaps they'll forbear
Whilst you fast learn their lingo
To squirm out of limbo.
For the speech we hold dear
The moral's now clear
If you want to converse
Just don't do it in verse.

I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom;
I'll love you till the clover has lost its perfume.
I'll love you till the poets run out of rhyme,
Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time.
Twelfth of Never
Songwriters: Jerry Livingston / Paul Webster
A love song that blooms with perfume and rhyme,
Even when bluebells, clover and poets run out of time.
Words, may we never forbear their cleverness.
Let us birth verses until the twelfth of neverness.
It’s been, and it shall be, a long, long time of runic
and a Poe-, Shakespeare- and Plath- worn tunic.
Ever-creating from Adam to now, and past these days.
Love is at our fingertips, working a well-begotten phrase.

O my heart, why?
Why do you despair?
Why not be more patient?
You wish for the unwishable,
Love is but an elusive maiden
A wistful illusion…
Who has ever reined in the whimsical wind?
Who has ever ensnared the sunshine?
Who has ever fettered the waves of the sea?
Who has ever restrained color?
Who has ever confined beauty?
Forbear, my heart, make no such efforts,
Know you not
that love is fraught with longing and loneliness?
Why then,
Why do you yearn in vain?
