MEDIATION

A couple of days ago 
I had an encounter 
It was very educational 
Many lives in illusion 
They're very delusional
If you're not aware
You'll fall in their well
Then You start living in a warfare.

They believe in illusion 
Which is void
Thinking it's reality 
No wonder 
Christ was crucified 
The truth is really bitter 
They all like sugar

Following a Fence Line

fence’s formidable periphery
enclosed more than I could ever see
I walked it at eight, was still gone by three
the length of this fence has amazed Tim and me
Tim is a bull I discovered along the way
I wanted to ride him back, but he said “no way!”

When I Call

I heard His name once in a story
It brought tears and joy alike
God would never let me down
I will love Him with all my might
The lessons I've learned following Jesus
Have taught me wisdom and great love
When I call He'll come from above

Could it be everything happens for a reason,
Or is it something one usually would say.
Kindred spirits that have roamed 
Through space and time,
Sharing moments and a history of past lifetimes.
Always by chance our paths happened to meet,
Always ending  with just a memory.

haunting spectre ace of spades 
goodfella aiming to be a poet all about,
meaning sexagenarian wordsmith,
this once upon a time jackanapes
presently decked out like cadaverous card 

still sporting fine kingly raiment
and crown of thorns

And found solace in hope, a labor of love

Through darkness I wandered, lost and alone
Until I stumbled upon a radiant throne
Where light and love reigned, and banished my fears
And bathed my soul in warmth, through joyful tears

The Shadows Following Apparitions

like shadows they follow us
they tell their stories 
on pages 
that may or may not 
be seen, or read,
we a'muse them -

"we", of course, are truly inconsequential
in the greater scheme of things;

they are like ghosts
echoing their called hauntings,
we catch the vibrations of them,
every now and then, 
the faint echoes of stilted messages 
they are magnificently

Following Hope

If I never wrote another word, praising this light who silences doubts…
If I never felt the leading of His touch, 
The promise of His endless care…

If I never knew what it is to feel the love that assures me He’s here,
If I never felt the need to pray and praise…
The One who lived and died,

How Long

How long can rolling waters stay
impure in their decree?
How long can all the world behold 
the many signs they see,
and not consider what is meant,
and come to understand -
the fig tree has sent forth her leaves,
the summer’s nigh at hand.

What power can stay the heavens?
Does the world possess the force?
Can man with puny arm turn
