squabble of seagulls in flight
loud squawk echoes joy

Timid Lover

Timid, gutless, young man feebly muttered
Then mustered spartan courage and puttered,
And fluttered he like a dove
And stuttered to say his love,
But "Shoo - Shoo!" pretty, beloved uttered.

Blest to be ministered to by God, I’ve uttered:
“Thank You, Lord; make my life around You be centered
Though trial-blistered and faith in You had faltered
I still heard You cheering me; such indeed mattered.”

Grace-watered with Christ’s wondrous kindness encountered
I whispered sincere prayer of trust, hope-glittered
Confessing timid heart, fear-fettered; guilt-pestered…
As my spirit He revives; from doubts, undeterred.

Praise-filled, my worshipful soul He cleansed has mustered:
“Yours am I, dear Saviour Who can’t be flattered
Since You know me so well; fixed my life, then cluttered…
Your love freed me; now like a dove, I’m joy*-fluttered.”

*Psalm 32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Premium Member Still the One - Collaboration

The moment we met our two hearts fluttered
So shy was I my words became stuttered
Rainbows covered the sky multicoloured
The exact moment love was discovered.

I could barely hear the muttered response
Yet I knew what you had uttered at once
Who needs poetry with fine fancy fonts
When the eyes say all a girl in love wants.

'Twas long ago, I no longer stutter
How I love the endearments you utter
In the quiet of night when you mutter
“I'm still the one who makes your heart flutter.”

uttered fluttered flame still ignited
    as summer stuttered steps faded;
      held my anguished face,
muttered and laid a breath kiss.

Premium Member His Hands and Mind Fluttered

his hands and mind fluttered

he hit home runs in practice
in his solitude
under the sheets of loneliness
over the view of rose petals
the roar of the crowd wasn't in his dreams
or real love
the sound of pigeons trapped in a paper bag
fluttering, fluttering
frenetic ... was
he once tried his hand ...
... at sweet blossoms and lily pads
his hands and mind fluttered

Fluttered Reminisces

There was poetry in her deliverance
as she was swathed by butterflies,
whilst cosmoses glinted 'tween
tranquil transcendency furthermost
harmoniously fluttered reminisces

like a flower gently unfolding,

flourishing a deeper kinda nectar

Angel Wings Glinted As They Fluttered

Medieval tapestry woven in rich lustious colours
Crystal castle leadlight faery windows glowing
Curved shiny stone walls frollicking unicorns
Humming magic tunes blue eyes glittering light
Translucent gossamer wings buzzing in flight
Cicada symphony bare toes above musty moss
Bright red and white toadstools tingles ribbons
Silky lace twinkle in the air Dust shimmering
Cream marble deeply blue veined with streaks
Crystal chimes tinkling in the warm west wind
Light laughter glittered like sun on curling waves
Cape of delicately folded feathered fairy wings
Faery blood coursed through her flowery veins
Mischievious glamour Bright yellow flower gleam
In exposed roots of forest Oak trees Glimmering

Knights Lance Fluttered Streamer

Scottish charm Gods grace merry place
Long tables brightly colored cloth canopy
Foresters tales minstrels manuscript
White flowers hanging garden priests
Veins on forehead thick black beards
Castle hall best jesters bravest beef
Scarlet cross mantle linked chainmail
Gallant warhorse plaited headpiece
Kindhearted man loved her deeply
Sage smoke vapours rose sunrays
Mighty hunter brought quarry home +
breathed deeply the scent of flowers
Red-and-gold garlands on his neck.
