Glass Flask

In this empty heart,
There's a glass flask
With magic, corked up,
In the corner, forgotten.
Once upon a time,
It was open—
Heart enmagicked
With notions
To fly and measure the sky,
To sink in the world of dreams.
Now they live in the flask so great,
Forgotten, just like my sweet,
Smiling face.

Pretentious Flask

The calmness of my head,
Is gut-wrenching, instead.
These vicious lights around,
Are making my heart pound.
Those blazing speaker is happiness for seeker,
But their happiness is making me weaker.
Those crickets screaming around,
Telling the story which was never told aloud.
The bustling streets and car's screech,
Predicting the story which is meant to preach.
Those gleaming households, filled with love and laughs,
Are an example that this too shall pass.
This city sky filled with sad smoke,
And people on the street roaming around broke.
It is tough,
It is hard,
Sometimes it pricks like a glass shard.
But that is the beauty of this task,
Sadness is always kept under the mask,
And too much happiness is overrated if you would ask!

Premium Member A Tale of a Flask and a Mask

I offered doc a sip from my flask
     He automatically removed his mask

Two or three long sips later
Doc called for his mask locator

Drink Flask

Drink Flask
See the drink flask there on the desk
A boring blue in colour
Slightly scratched and dinted
Well used by the owner
Made to look normal
Like it was just a flask
To carry coffee or juice
Drink it while you eat
Your dinner in work
Or sandwiches out hiking
The things of a normal world
All illusion soon to change
For this contains no drink
Not in the normal sense
It contains a virus from a lab
If the lid is removed
Other things done
And released free
We are all in trouble

Carving a Mask Is a Task

Why would one ask,
If the carving of a mask
Is, indeed, a task
When to simply this question ask
Is itself a task?
Mask carvers in their job bask,
Their wine glasses beside a cask,
Their African salad in their flask,
Their own faces a beatific Mask…

Sweet styles of reducing the heat
From a long sitting on a seat,
A surer method of catching ones breath
Man’s enacting of the lion’s stealth.

Bleach In Flask No Need To Mask

Immune to the virus, I am.
I eat green eggs and ham.
That I eat daily with a fork.
Hah, science, I’m no dork!

I use Johnson & Johnson shampoo.
So I’m topically vaxxed, immune too!
Sure add bleach in my drinking water.
Since Covid can’t live where it’s hotter.

Wearing a mask is just for Halloween.
Needles are for fun, not a vaccine.
So screw your mask, I’ll see you later.
From my bed, and shiny new ventilator.

Premium Member Thermos Flask

I found my tartan Thermos flask,
not used it for some time,
the faded squares still visible
beneath a film of grime.
A bit or rust around the base,
the side a dent or two,
the top that doubles for a cup
has split, so that won't do.
But all the same it does it's job
for when one's on the go,
keeps hot things hot and cold things cold
quite how, I do not know.
At least we share a common bond,
our outer shells are battered,
somewhat pasty, worn with time
but none of that stuff matters.
Inside of me my hopes kept warm,
some of my dreams are cool,
contents kept fresh regardless of
the state of this old fool.
When God calls me, takes off my lid
to see what life I've had,
I hope that then, unlike my flask-
I don't smell quite that bad.

My Rival Is In a Silver Flask

He reaches for his genie in a silver flask
"Oh Yeah...do me babeeee"- he laughs
His every wish is her every command
And he is her true and devoted man

She is so fluid and so golden brown
So smooth and so warm, going down
He's two sheets in the wind by early mid day
"That's how we do it, everyday" - he says

My rival is in that silver flask
Uhg... and who can compete with that? - I ask

Power In a Flask

Why???
Why???
I can’t breath
Allah in treacherous ground
It is special
But not blind
Dust shakes
I can’t imagine
My lover from the wake
Let me breath, oh so Allah
When I come today

Inscription On a Flask To My Wife

A Little Nip
To Settle Your Stomach
And Gladden Your Heart
To Warm The Nights
While We're Apart

Flask

dear change,
i've seen you here before
scratching scoundrel
itching with mange-
the undomesticated mutt.
charmed, finessed (i am
the butt of your joke) (you
are the ash to my smoke)
dear change,
loop swoop pull &
push- peering thru the
burning bush, all
teehees & cracking
leaves; oh dear
change, i only want to
ask, will you share
whatever's in your
flask?
