Couldn't have dreamt this,
His tender first kiss,
Nibbled his lips,
Kissed my fingertips,
Kissed molasses hair,
Love his kissing flair,
Kissed a thousand times,
His mouth just rhymes,
Our attraction,
Love in action,
Lip sync bliss,
Love his kiss,
Kissing sublime,
Withstood all time.......
Today's the day Lucky Luke
trades his hat in for a tuque
not sure his fashion choice and flair
will still be a hit with ladies everywhere
Who the heck you think you are?
You bashed my car, yet strut with flair—
Like a proud star,
Too smug to care.
Your brain's back door was left ajar;
Your wisdom vanished in thin air.
Puffed with pride that won't go far—
At best, you'll earn a mocking stare.
I entered the world of sleep,
Where creations danced on waves.
Cliffs loomed vast and deep,
Their mystery stirred the brave.
The rhythmic ocean’s motion,
And the world’s life-laden view,
Revealed secrets of the ocean,
Surprisingly witnessed by few.
I watched a sailor take his ride,
Steering the boat with flair—then he fell.
Though currents surged with the spring tide,
I held tight to my precious shell.
Then crackling sounds broke the dream,
Nature’s embrace slipped away, so nice.
For a moment, bound by a wild, green theme,
Till reality struck—my bowl of rice.
You are the spark that ignites my passion
Inner beauty shines through in the clothes you fashion
Your presence has improved me in so many ways
You are my guiding light that brightens my day
Seems like I am always smiling when I am around you
An undivided love you show me always shines through
When I awake in the morning what is the first thing I see
An angel from heaven looking straight back at me
I will never take you for granted and always show you my love
A new day starts just like the last with a kiss and a hug
It is time to make breakfast and prepare coffee in her favorite mug
Never let a day go by without showing her how much you care
Make every day special and do it with some flair
Ms. Pete had the most interesting chair
It had pizzazz, color, shape, and ready flair
Eclectic like it, she knew what to wear
We did not see the back until she climbed heaven’s stair
The back was almost prettier than the front if you ask me
Ms. Pete had an eye for fashion that went past whoopee
We will miss her much, her things went for a good fee
The only recipient was the Haven for Cat and Puppy
Paris, paradigm of “je ne sais quoi “-
Great Gallic mystery, almost a law.
Evincing an essence, cannot say how -
Shrug of a shoulder with lift of a brow.
But stroll down a street called La Rue Cadet -
The enigma abates along the way.
Senses succumb to a Confiserie,
Snuggled in tight next the Charcuterie,
A few doors down there’s the Patisserie,
Juxtaposed close to a Fromagerie.
“Je ne sais quoi”, astute tourists still say,
This riddle’s resolved on La Rue Cadet.

I lay asleep drunk beneath thy stream
I cried for help just to realize it was a dream
Some people are naturally funny
They have a flair for comedy,
Seems everything they say or do
Illustrates laughter as a remedy.
Many times quite unwittingly
They say something not as a joke,
But it gets gales of uproarious laughs
Because it was a comic who spoke.
Often it’s merely a facial expression
That gets an audience’s attention
Other comedians rely on story lines
And funny catch-phrases for retention.
Folks say I have some natural ability
To make people around me laugh,
I haven’t the foggiest notion why
Except I’ve always been prone to gaffe.

My mind bubbles over with happy thoughts
When all is down, I think all systems are go,
I refuse to let myself get tied up in knots
There are two sides to every coin, you know,
You can flip it to heads or you can flip to tails
Being sad and gloomy is a personal choice,
Choosing to be happy and uplifting never fails
Select a happy tune to sing with your voice.
For most of two years I’ve been in quarantine
I used that time to hone some writing arts,
And made many friends while doing so, e’en
While learning a lot from welcoming hearts.
So, even though much is wrong in our world
And we have ample opportunity to despair,
I chose to keep my better spirits unfurled
Living my days with joyful pizzazz and flair.

Great Aunt Maude had a bejeweled flair
With red and blue rhinestones in her hair
Black fluffy coat resembling grizzly bear
We could never outguess what she would wear
Her glitzy outfits were worn with care
Silver sequined gowns, shoulders often bare
She entices old men on the town square
All could easily be lured to her lair.
Other ensembles could never compare
Her collars glistening with fluffy hare
Other women enjoy newest cookware
Great Aunt Maude dressed exotic as Cher
she's dress with flair and fun
in a red floral dress,
petticoat and finesse,
shoes color of the sun
she gathers up her dress,
he loosen his necktie
feel the music and fly
to 1950's success
toe tapping Summertime Blues,
and sweet Peggy Sue, chill
to slow Blueberry Hill,
fast pace Tutti Frutti, and booze

not for contest
Cultivate a flair just for fun
Some flair in hand goes a long way
in reducing tensions to none
All have some inborn flair I say

On multiple planes
sing infinite socio-bytes
my waters flow pride
as they hide from sorry eyes
my hourglass tears turn to dust
Fresh blossoms of tall oaks
Cherry tree’s tender flowers
Rose bush’s charming buds
Shimmering wraps of emerald
Butterfly skipping around creepers
Duck pair wooing in pool waters
Family of deer grazing upon pastures
Keen songbirds’ euphonious recitals
Blooming vines’ meditative fragrance
Coolness of breezes carrying it over
Mother Earth’s flair of splendor
Rays of hope and assurance
