Crystal Cup of Flair

Crystal Cup
 of Flair

The
world judges another
 by what they own
Fancy jewels, clothing,
 cars and spacious homes.

They
 choose leaders born
 of arrogance and strife
Following them into
 wars and destructive lives

Many
 categorize a person's
 life through opinions
Created through jealousy
 they follow them like minions

Judge
 not or you will be
 judged by your own decree
Using another as a stepping
stone renders your life in debris

Richness
 of a person is revealed
by the quality of their heart
The flow of loving kindness and
honesty in the mercy they depart

Humility
 and a gentle spirit
 that nurtures another's soul
One who gives willingly
unconditional love that freely
flows

This
 person is rich beyond
 all earthly realms
Bearing such a pure love
against evil, it overwhelms

I
 would rather be
 seen as Tupper ware
Then tagged a crystal
 cup of flair

It would be nice on a day that is mild
To decorate a tree out in the wild
To bring Christmas, for animals to share
To celebrate this creation with care
With gratitude for all nature brings
Listen to carols, while the bird sings
Dance in the snow, skate on the ice,
Be part of the view that is so nice
Hold hands around the tree outside
Instead of cutting it down, for inside
Christmas can be celebrated anywhere
With love, smiles and creative flair

Her true instinct's voice is soft-wave heart
yet, bohemian flame sparks zodiac's chart,
wandering through journey's enchanting years
caravan dressed in sunrise , dusk and rain...
I feel her passion stirring once again.

~
A soulful gypsy rustling skirts of fresh dreams
tambourines beat her free-spirit,agleam
and she flame's life dances on moonlit rites
brazen at night then dashing warmth so kind...
her flair exudes an energy aligned.

~
Tiptoeing on fields, sensient like airtrips
in firelight's steps of jazzy, jazzy dips
Oh woman, daring trails never yet glazed
a bohemian in earthy kind of jive
mystic...she feeds on love's tarot, alive.

~
Not to be overtaken by things bland
incense of newness  rises at her command;
yet childlike strains are innocence's hues
as romance and virtue send her afire ,
that’s me, a gypsy wrapped by earth-sky's lyre!

Flying With Flair

Two hundred mile an hour they say
a Fireblade screams along its way
but when alas, the rider’s Ray
the Fireblade went a different way.

It sped down Chester bypass quick
for Raymond gave it quite some stick
but at a hundred, fifty plus
just one mistake will make you cuss.

So when he braked to miss a bend
the bike no longer man’s best friend,
deciding it was time to fly
took bike and rider to the sky.

But birds, not men, are born with wings
our spines can crack in high speed spins
while somersaulting through the air
his back was broke beyond repair.

Now Ray must face his life anew
not walking now like me or you
but finding ways to keep his flair
whilst tethered to a bloody chair!

Premium Member Prance Around With Flair

You guys will all probably think I'm crazy
Feel like tripping through fields of daisies
Prance around with flair
With a couple in my hair
It's all gone downhill since I reached my eighties

Premium Member Pizzazz and Flair

My mind bubbles over with happy thoughts
When all is down, I think all systems are go,
I refuse to let myself get tied up in knots
There are two sides to every coin, you know,
You can flip it to heads or you can flip to tails
Being sad and gloomy is a personal choice,
Choosing to be happy and uplifting never fails
Select a happy tune to sing with your voice.

For most of two years I’ve been in quarantine
I used that time to hone some writing arts,
And made many friends while doing so, e’en
While learning a lot from welcoming hearts.
So, even though much is wrong in our world
And we have ample opportunity to despair,
I chose to keep my better spirits unfurled
Living my days with joyful pizzazz and flair.

Their Outward Flair

A child should be held with care
Like the elderly who wish to share
When examined layer by layer
Both are similar when compared.

Young or old they're extremely dear
And they're both extreme in year
You'll see their hope in their glare
And their sadness when they stare.

Both reach out too and risk to dare
Although they often show their fear
The reason why they're very fair
Is that they both are very clear.

Not speaking here or there
Please get closer or get near
This is what I want to share
It's their Love that makes them rare!

Punta Cana DR on my t-shirt, had a wonderful time there
Two great weeks of sunny weather with a Caribbean flair
Girls in sarongs
Latin beat songs
A far away world with pure happiness in the air

A Jester's Flair

I am a hurricane,
a vortex of complexity
An external halcyon state,
inside, I'm not thinking straight.
Dragging each day by the hair
The same sorry bassline
plays a warning scale.
Eyes focused on the horizon,
when you don't look back
you fail to see
what's creeping up behind you.

There is a weakness.
A self-induced vulnerability,
I granted you immunity
Now I'm crashing,
kicking out at lifeless brakes
You distract me with a jester's flair
In the modicum before impact...

"Don't touch me"
said warily, heavily,
the words already well used.

Premium Member A Flair For Comedy

Some people are naturally funny
They have a flair for comedy,
Seems everything they say or do
Illustrates laughter as a remedy.

Many times quite unwittingly
They say something not as a joke,
But it gets gales of uproarious laughs
Because it was a comic who spoke.

Often it’s merely a facial expression
That gets an audience’s attention
Other comedians rely on story lines
And funny catch-phrases for retention.

Folks say I have some natural ability
To make people around me laugh,
I haven’t the foggiest notion why
Except I’ve always been prone to gaffe.

Premium Member Her Flash Her Colors Her Dramatic Flair

Brazil, her flash, her colors, her dramatics, her languages, her flair!
Christ the Redeemer seen clearly from the airplane, high in the air.
Coffee beans roasted in such a way to make me salivate.
Football in a new realm; a thrill that I can hardly anticipate.

Brazil, her spider monkeys with their fifth appendage in the Amazon.
Her anacondas and pumas, slinking, as they sneak up on a fawn.
Sugar Loaf Mountain, welcoming people from every nationality.
Brazil, known for her wonderful eclectic landforms, her specialty.

Brazil, full of carnivals, especially in Rio de Janeiro. Want to go, Honey?
Gangs give tourists a scare; sometimes they kidnap those with money.
Her flash, her flair, her daring ways, her love of things old and new.
This is such a wonderful place to see. I’d like to go with you!

Maya Angelou proclaiming
She knows why the caged bird sings
While a raven Says forevermore
Brings to mind Edgar Allan Poe

Sir Walter Raleigh did inspire
with his poem "Like truthless dreams my Joys expire"
Emily Dickenson gave us many wonderful verses
"Apparently with no surprise" being among the first

For sonnets with poetic flair
None can compare
To the great William Shakespeare

Desire

This lust is eternal,
And will never be out of fashion.
A powerful force beyond any compassion.

Like a burning fire, it runs in the veins,
That'll make you forget all other names.
I'll make you moan my name every night.
You'd wish that you could just sleep tight.

You'll never reproach,
As the climax approach,
Revival and resuscitation.
But the end will be same,
As you'll be the one the tigress tame.

I'll leave you wanting more,
Luring the lust in you.
And as the day will dawn,
You'll see your side and I'll be gone.

On her hunt again,
She'll roar like a beast.
Eyeing as a hawk carefully on her feast,
As the time comes she'll leap.
Now, this cycle will repeat.

A tale as old as time,
To cure her lonely nights,
But wait until you see her real might.

This is not who she is,
Pretentious and facade.
You are the only one,
Who can save her from this cascade.

Work harder if you wanna be the king,
Or in no time you'll be another fling.
Never in a million year has anyone been,
Any bigger than this slay queen.
Not even the Duke of Cheshire,
Because she is what all the men desire.

Full of Flair

There was a girl who was full of flair,
Then she climbed up standing on a chair,
                  Twisting with magic she sang;
Dancing, she fell with a bang,
Bald she was, up went flying her hair!
