L Milton Hankins Poet Quatrain

A Flair For Comedy

Some people are naturally funny
They have a flair for comedy,
Seems everything they say or do
Illustrates laughter as a remedy.

Many times quite unwittingly
They say something not as a joke,
But it gets gales of uproarious laughs
Because it was a comic who spoke.

Often it’s merely a facial expression
That gets an audience’s attention
Other comedians rely on story lines
And funny catch-phrases for retention.

Folks say I have some natural ability
To make people around me laugh,
I haven’t the foggiest notion why
Except I’ve always been prone to gaffe.

In same area was a wonderful eye doctor who met up in the late hours to help with my son’s eye infection. I wouldn't want to be like that even if it brought me fame and fortune. I like just how I am.
