Premium Member The Thrill Of A Late Summer

visions of children shrieking on clogged shores,
warm swirling gusts topple gaunt sand castles,
games galore thrive in weather dry and bright,
family fun fair gasp and sheer delight,
yet summer’s warm hue festoon tapers off,
whilst journeyed beehive swarm near blue lagoon,
dip their toes in sunny moss fleck torrents,
others seize their madcap visceral thrill,
from dashing down mint green meadows as that,
August time frame segues into autumn

Premium Member Siren of Winter

On the coldest nights, when the air and land conspire
And the winds sing their siren's serenade of desire
An unbecoming part inside causes me to rise
And festoon my frame with my most festive attire
To step outside for a walk

A silent stroll amidst the hidden horrors of the times

Premium Member Oh Cruel Fate

Tepid rain drips upon flowers.
June feels cold with all these showers.
Sunset descends, as twilight dips.
Upon flowers, tepid rain drips.

I feel afraid, numb from the cold.
It feels like summer is on hold.
As thunder and lightning cascade,
numb from the cold, I feel afraid.

Ears crave to hear her soothing tone.
She's the queen to my kingdom's throne.
In her embrace, heart has no fear.
Her soothing tone, ears crave to hear.

Just like the moon, glowing at night,
in darkness her love provides light.
In bright shades we form a festoon,
glowing at night just like the moon.

Oh cruel fate, gift me a glance,
her lips have left me in a trance.
I feel blind without my soulmate.
Gift me a glance, oh cruel fate.

Premium Member The Autumn Train

She turns to fire engine red as her leaves begin to change
toot toot! she goes as she travels through the autumn train
Her caboose shakes in the wind but she hangs on tight
while the leaves dance, shimmer & jiggle in the dancing breeze.
Aware that she needs to let go of her most prized possessions,
She enjoys one last cling of the season, before winter's festoon.
Bright flamingo ruby leaves have set her frame aglow,
but now, it's time to let go.
She recalls a time when she was exploding with leaves,
a time when she was fed on sunshine and energy
a time when climbing on the Autumn train, was one great big adventure.
Today she travels at a sure and steady pace,
pulling out all her horns, whistles and bells, she chugs along,
as the rails of her caboose fly faster and faster,
The leaves fall softly to the ground, one at a time,
without making a fuss, without making a sound.

Premium Member Grand Opal Views

Beseech me to grand opal views oh blessed moon
and take me to that place where pearling light
resplendent of the sea, adorns my life's festoon
With just one shake of ray from you my sight
will be as clear and peaceful as a gliding loon

Draw me to you, "Oh Mother Goddess of light"
for when it comes to praising you inside this silent room
bathed in the hour of evening dusk, within my quiet
I drink you in like opium smoke one puff and gone so soon
behind the curtains of these tired eyes, an ancient spoon

Spilled and poured like silver across the ocean blue
I breathe the breath of you as if you were the sun
for mirrored in my heart you scissor all on Holy cue
within the sacred womb of my female Deity
the fertile embrace of love and all its passion spew

Beseech me to your silica I am your precious stone
sitting by the river rolling soft against the shore
some people are made of flesh and bone
while others annihilate inside your radiant more
take me to your beauty, then raise me off the floor.

Premium Member Ossuary

Stone staircase winds down into gloomy murk
Curtain of cobwebs festoon ancient door
Spiders abode well hidden yet, they lurk
Curiosity wins, cannot ignore.

Silence profound as darkness invades light
Ossuary resides behind portal
Hollow eyes empty, sadness at their plight
Realisation I am mere mortal.

Labyrinth of catacombs under street
Untold stories like a library here
Aeons of sadness neatly placed to greet
Tourists who from time to time venture near.

Ossuary's air filled with the dreams of man
Yet, immortal hope reigns since time began

Premium Member Poet's Honeymoon - Collab With Daniel Turner

Pretend we're on a poet's honeymoon
Let's dance atop the Massifs on the moon
We'll get our fill of Milky Way's champagne
Behind a chariot of stars, the twain

Each star a stepping stone of Heaven's rune
That lead down to a luminous lagoon
And when Andromeda begins to wane
We'll take our muses to another plane

Riding on the shooting star, we will croon
Rhapsodying together, hearts in tune
Lost in love, our muses will not complain
As we set foot in Sombrero's domain

Each planet, we'll decorate with festoon,
And get drenched in Saturn's diamond monsoon,
Once heights of passion with words, we attain,
Back to earth, where we can pretend again.

Premium Member Charisma of the Pink City

At the edge of the Thar desert’s sandy festoon,
the train of the Aravalli hills cascading pretty
with the undulating landscape of ancient dune,
cradles joyous Jaipur, the royal pink city.

On carved hill-top mighty forts’ stone walls splay,
wrap the pictorial city portrait with history drape.
Passing through the sculpted ornate gateway
the orthogonal roads symbolize cubic cityscape .

Painted with the patina of lotus in shades of pink,
the capital of Rajasthan carries the mark of royalty.
Visiting this fascinating place I’m at beguiled brink,
for I’m charmed by the charisma of this colorful city.

Premium Member What Possibities

I still have a smile on my face
From the lines that I trace

A festoon that started on your cheek
Through ribbons of your hair, still making me weak

A circle down your spine begining at the nape
Ending in with my hand in full affectionate drape

Returning gently up your side
Hearing your soft lips open to which they sighed

Mine then touch yours with the sweetest of kiss
Telling you how very much I miss

Holding your hand in a simple grasp
While the other releases a clasp

Then drawing a figure eight
Feeling your stress completely abate

To finish this image just open your mind
To what possibilities the two of us can find

Premium Member Autumn Yawns

Autumn Yawns

Autumn yawns – early darkness stunts her days
Eventide wrapped in golden umber tones
Bands of autumn hues swaddle mellow haze
Sunset sundrops sweet serenades intone.

Twilight dozes ‘neath the harvest’s birthstone
Autumn savors new frost in early dusk
Scarlet scents, aphrodisiac cologne,
Festoon icy crystals - autumnal musk.

Vesper rondeaus rustle in dry cornhusks
Scents of spice float in the warm afterglow
Autumn tastes nursery rhymes like sweet rusks
Stars keep watch in astral autumn meadows

She slips into the mellow midnight’s glow
Drowsy barcarolles bid Autumn goodnight
Harvest hectic days through cradle songs slow
Lullabies wait to croon in faded lights

Drowsy barcarolles bid Autumn goodnight
Bands of autumn hues swaddle mellow haze
Lullabies wait to croon in faded lights
Autumn yawns – early darkness stunts her days.
