Premium MemberA Happy Fellow Named Jack

There's this happy fellow named Jack
A serious bone in his body he lacks
When they finally close his coffin
He'll be scratchin' and clawin'
Yelling a la Schwarzenegger “I'll be back”

Premium MemberMy Budding Fellow Psychoanalysts

Which disorder should I model for my class today
       Anorexia-bulimia is simply too passe
Obsessive compulsive – so 20th century

    Agoraphobia is a distinct possibility
‘Cos acrophobia’s too HIGH-ly infectious for me

Then again, what about good old paranoid schizophrenia
It complements my arthritis and osteopenia. -- But

my budding fellow psychoanalysts, I’ve selected Jewish-mother-anxiety
~ since you all will misdiagnose it as made-for-TV comedy*

Fellow

 • Such a charming fellow
• With eyes a vibrant yellow
• He'll stare you down
• Often with a frown
• Befriend him and you'll see he's quite mellow

Trials and Tribulations

Despite trials, and we’ve had many,
with tribulations, felt lost at sea,
we get up each day
with an effort to say,
for our freedoms we’ll fight, to be free.

Premium MemberTo Destroy A Fellow Poet, But Why

I have seen this phenomenon, all my life.
Pride is cruel, aged by the dark sin of vanity
Within humans, such needless, painful strife.
It seems to plague us, on all levels of humanity.

I know you are writing poetry and doing your best
Coming here strictly to be your fine, expressive self.
Yet to some, you shall never, never pass their test?
Remember, you are a poet and not a doll on a shelf!

Premium MemberBeing Judged By a Fellow Poet

Being judged is rough,
I start to wonder,
did I do it right,
will the judge like it !

The judge may be published,
and have excellent writing credentials.

Or be just like me,
a Premium member who does contests,
yadda, yadda !

I have been in the soup a long time,
been humbled over the years,
Is a win the ultimate goal?
Or is it the writing that stirs my soul.

I think, I shall enter and take a chance,
after all what is the worst that can happen ?
Oh yes, a non-placement could be my reward,
but so what, I still wrote and loved doing it ...

in the end ...

Ah Mean Man in the Locker Room

Outfitting himself for wrestling
he sneared at the smiling gentlmen in the locker roomI wanna see how I could not be perfect
see ya'll guy think everything is easy and getting up early
and doing the thing makes you
qualified to be champion.
Snarls the Old man against the the Pretty Guys
Women love em: and the Ladies wanna
get wiff em.
You son's of es: I worked my ass off getting butts in the seats
I wrestled in a horse stable when we couldn't fill the areanas.
We wrestled at an old abandoned mine
when we couldn't get the fans interested.
then when the crwds picked up
you Sissy es come along and take the spotlight from under us.
I heard you say the Dusk Stalwart was
grion Old and stiff around the collar.
I heard you man: I heard it all.
He's got his gear tonight man,
he's here tonight man
Ah hell I feel like I can face anything!
You guys are gonna learn
what it really takes to be
a self promoting Man!"
I'm gonna go outta my way
and Learn you Pukeass es!"
"Let's reveal the sky to the masses!"
"Maybe with enough voice ya'll will sing my name to
seranade my new Missus!"

     In every mirror I see
a fellow much younger than me

A FELLOW FROM RYDE

A FELLOW FROM RYDE

An innocent fellow from Ryde
Had trouble in bed with his bride
For no-one had said
And he hadn’t read
All about the physical side

They purchased a book the next day
With pictures explaining the way
They found it so nice
They did the deed twice
She had twins the following May

Premium MemberYou Are Your Fellow Man

You are your fellow man

We are all the same under the skin

With all the same wants and desires

To love and be loved

To help each other in times of need

Be it a kind word

A helping hand

Or just sharing life's experiences

Listening, offering support

It is human to care for your fellow man

One day that love will all come back

In your darkest moment

Love will lift you from the depths

Till you are singing once more

Laughing again and loving again

You are your fellow man!

Premium MemberMy Dear Fellow

I am happy for you dear fellow!
My teary eyes are glistening
My dear fellow, the large tides have turned
Into a Tsunami wave of God’s blessings
And you came inundated and submerged
Out of the dangerous rip current
Sideways you went, taking the straight path;
You didn’t vent.
Things went in your favor;most flavorful!
Amidst the utter anguish you suffered
Bouncing back like the light rays of the
Brilliant sun.
Forever beaming and streaming
Your gentle and kind personality
We stand in ovation and make a
Toast to you, my dear fellow!

To My Fellow Men

Dear Men on the Street,
Your thoughts are keenly felt,
For many men have turned away
From helping those who've knelt.

They spend their wealth on ladies fair,
And leave their mothers in despair.
They turn their backs on family,
For beauty they hold so dear.

But when they fall, these ladies fly,
Their empty pockets, a reason why.
So let us value all around,
And help our fellow man be found.

For when we help another rise,
Our own success will then surprise.

Premium MemberMy Fellow Machinists

Many are the edgy tool forms shaping this piece
The lathe has turned for millennia with no cease
Milling takes place in immense illumination
Those sharp edges move; in darkness saturation
All instrumental in making this earth take shape
There IS, a part of this art; you're choosing to scrape
If you're here for a millisecond or more of a life-long roll
Like it or not, your existence a chisel; producing a scroll
You matter to us all, failing, succeeding, or long-time, no care from you
Life; chaotic at times, unfair, but something common to all; on this spinning screw
I am not working these words as a contribution of introspection
My need; to remind my fellow machinists, of how they make my life perfection

                            The Champagne of Life
                                       7/26/2023

Tis the delight of the liquid, golden, morning sun,
Gleaming in my tall, orange juice’s crystal glass.
Add gratitude, for you, a poet, with morals and class.

You may not be the best poet at the top of the list.
But to communicate your very best is your wish.
You are not all out there, trying to be a champion fish!

People like you. dear friend, communicate love.
For you are the rainbow bubbles in my day’s hours.
I read humble you, with joy, in these poetic towers
