Famous Person Poems | Examples

Known professionally as

We were parallel walking
she asked if I found [famous person] attractive
I sucked a thoughtful tooth (as if)
and said I'm not one to fawn over
minor celebrities
she said fawn I said yes fawn

But if [famous person] was here now
I'd attach myself to her legs and let her
drag me through the mud
like an I don't know what
the metaphor failed me. She said

Like a dangleberry.
I don't know what you mean, and obv.
which is short for obviously
as an alpha male I am not one to submit
to be dragged away anyway and yet
in this instance [famous person] would have to
beat me off, stop it, that's enough now

I mean her magnificent legs which
in this unlikely scenario I have attached myself to
remember

Honestly, I wish I'd never started this
she said me too
and that was that
for the rest
of our walk

The Miracle of Birth

The advent of a new birth
Brings such joy to those around,
It’s the onset of a new life.
And a miracle, so profound.

All new-borns should be nurtured.
From the day they first arrive,
From a fragile new beginning
They need care to help them thrive.

To face the trials and tribulations
That life chooses to bestow,
Be it human, plant or animal.
They all need help to grow.

The propagation of the species
Is so essential to survive,
The gift of life is precious.
Of which no person should deprive.

So, if you’re caring for a new-born.
Give them all the love they need,
For many a famous person
Grew from a nurtured seed.

Premium Member ABRAHAM AND MOSES

Abraham* is father of faith indeed
He obeyed God along His deed and creed
Commended and blest
Midst challenging test
So from unbelief and doubt, he was freed.

Abraham’s great grandson, Moses** did stand
Leading God’s people to the promised land
With courageous might
And prayerful plight
Sea he divided toward march so grand.

*Romans 4:9-11 ...For we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness... that he might be the father of all them that believe...
**Hebrews 11:24-29 By faith Moses, ....; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; ...
passed through the Red sea as by dry land...

When We Took a Trip Horn Haiku and Others

When We Took a Trip
Horn Haiku

when we took a trip
we were given a great tip
should go on a ship

she gave me some slack
instead we stayed in a shack
with black smokestack in back

when we went to game
bad players had been the blame
would be such a shame

ate big piece of pie
keep off table I did try
got some in my eye

with them made amends
brought back family and friends
their suffering ends

when the news was seen
had created such a scene
people there were mean

while under blue sky
avoid Trump again did try
when he caught my eye

when grabbed by the throat
she had wanted us to vote
in boat sail to Shallotte

when we would scurry
famous person did bury
we had to hurry

when this was the last
poem that I wrote in the past
often would procaste

what in past had found
no longer want Trump around
hard to bare his sound

Half Mast Flag

In the parking lot, I sat observing
The flag over the shopping mall
I noticed it flying at half-mast
A famous person, it sought to recall

The impact they had on society
Affected people, far and wide
Adored or rejected by the masses
Many in this person did confide

Few in society attain this status
So it's imperative to take note
When observing their credentials
Just what kept their name afloat

When Jesus died on the cross
Was this event really observed
Was it noted by multitudes
Did He get recognition, He deserved

Today, His banner should reign above
Rooftops in every nation
His sacrifice on Calvary's hill
Gives me solace in meditation

God grant that I may hoist a flag
And always make it known
He deserves ultimate recognition
None other could our sins atone !

Me

Me

I have failed at everything.
Everything I try to do.

I have failed in school.
I was never well behaved.

I have failed at work.
I was never a very good slave.

I have failed at family.
Where are they now?

I have failed at life.
I’m barely making it somehow.

I’m not a famous person.
I’m not a wealthy man.
I’m not a holy guru;
Nor wanted by any friend.

I’m just good at being me;
and maybe that’s all I’m supposed to be.

Strange Friend

STRANGE FRIEND

I had a friend both on Facebook and meeting him in person
he often sent me words of wisdom said by a famous person,
about loyalty and honesty, I often find these saying rather
banal and self-evident.
His dream was to be rich and have a big car, but like me, we
didn´t have the talent other than buying a lottery ticket.
I think he was selling things and made a modest living,
I tried to write and was equally unsuccessful, but we tried
in our clumsy way to find a road forward.
I often thought he didn´t really like me that much he was,
I think jealous of my relaxed attitude to life`s strange ways
And the disinterest in money.
I think he found me arrogant for calling a spade a spade,
people do not take the truth lightly, do I?
Suddenly he unfriended me on Facebook and declared
he didn´t want to see me again.
This tiding was pleasant I no longer had to pretend he was boring
and his range of conversations limited.
I have lost a few “friends” on Facebook, but it means very little
perhaps I should tone it down a little, be all friendly, that will be the day

Arrogance and Rudeness

THE OCCURRENCE
WERE SHE FOUND REASON
TO PROVOKE HIM INTO ANGER
WARN THESE PEOPLE
THAT HIS FURY IS THAT OF
HER MAKINGS
ABSENCE OF BEHAVIOR
TO REMAIN UNDISTURBED
AND POLITY FINDING AWAY
TO REMOVE HIMSELF FROM
THAT WHICH ANGERS HIM
SHE STIRS UP STRIFE
TO CAUSE ANGER
SHE REVEALS IN
INSTRUCTION OF THOSE
WHO SHE MAKES PART OF
HER DEVANICE
TO SIDE WITH HER AS FAVOR
SHE IS AS VILE AS HIM WHO
SHE CAUSES TO BE
ANGRY

GIVE NO OPPORTUNITY TO THIS SATAN
AS SHE MIGHT FIND WAYS
TO CAUSE YOU ANGERED
SHE IS SATAN
AND AS SATAN SHE SHALL HAVE
YOU RIVALED AND DIVIDED
SEPARATE FROM THOSE WHO WOULD
BE MORE SUITABLE TO
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THEM
SHE SHALL PROFEIT IN YOUR ABSENCE
MIGHT YOU FIND ONE WHO WISHES
TO PURSUE WEALTH TOGETHER
IN THE WAY OF LABOR

He says, "Innocent am I!" He believes he can fly!
Just as well as he sings, he can LIE.

Brady and His Footballs

Have you ever heard of that famous Tom Brady?
His deflated balls can’t even chase off the ladies.
But he’s a legend that football has seemly created,
so I named my puppy Brady...but his balls not deflated.
