Rowing on frozen waters.
Onwards to a new year.
Moments to share with.
Abandonned torments.
Nothing to regret for.
Commitments to start with.
Enigmas to be descovered.

I taste your enigmas
bitter—then sweet—
I unravel them with
wonder in my lips
as surety black
paradox puzzlement
brightens—opens—
birthing color.

Now greets night's empty void the moon's pale light,
so cool and opaline it gives delight.
We watch you pass the distant western bar
where you find rest 'til dawn ignites with fire.
The bright and distant stars each know the way
of holding our eyes rapt to their display.
We view spellbound each rich, ethereal show.
Soon from the east the sun shines forth in flow.
Await dun nights with moon and stars a-flight.
Each legend's twinkling mysteries burn bright.
Though dawn and sun provide the warmth to grow,
the heart seeks twilight's enigmatic glow!

Hidden within Precambrian rock
Lies "a tiny mystery"
A veiled secret in the dark
A puzzling piece of history
A radioactive photograph
A polonium halo possibly
Buried in a cryptic curtain
Its secret may elude us
But what's certain
Should we presume to solve this riddle
We'll be hurled back in the middle
Of more dilemmas or enigmas endlessly
