"The pen is the tongue of the mind."
~ Horace
"A writer without a pen would be like a duck without water."
~ Donovan
My ink is bleeding today,
I feel lachrymose,
I sense my owner's dismay,
She needs some joy dose;
Her moods often are bizarre,
Sometimes I can't gauge,
She hasn't put me down so far,
Though tears blot the page;
Words of sorrow down she writes,
And writes and writes on!
I can't stop her, how she fights!
She'll write till the dawn!
Poetry flows from my ink,
Page after new page,
Such days, I've no time to think,
It's her writing rage!
Sometimes she'll use me to scratch
her head full of thoughts,
Or like today, I'm no match,
When she creates lots!
One thing I will always know,
Something I'm proud of,
My ink will forever flow,
'coz I'm her true love;
In her hands, my ink blood beats,
She has set me free,
My whole purpose, she completes,
Whene'er she holds me.
None of the names are familiar now
I have been in this class before
But my memory is weak
There are no Susie’s or Jack’s
The names are Donovan, Maleficent, Alfred, Drago,
Chole, Elise, Drake, and Athena.
I usually can associate names with others I know with that name.
I know no others with these names.
I call these students “honey” and “sweetie pie”.
Glad they are in preschool, and they do not mind.
I stopped one little girl and asked, “Is Parker a girl or a boy?”
“I am a girl, Silly.”

i am going to sit down here
try this cheesecake ice cream cake
with a dollop of cool whip
listen to the waves crash as i
listen to some oldies from the 50s
and early 60s
i am going to let the rhythmic
crashing of the waves take me
away and nod my head to black
is black by los bravos followed by
jenny take a ride by ole mitch and
those detroit wheels traced by that
song i like called come softly to me
now what is the name of the group
does that little piece of wonderfulness
though i am by myself, my mind is
free and my stress level is zero
i will drink my vanilla oatmilk with
pride and pray for another sunny day
tomorrow
life does not practice perfection,
so i rush in the house when a sudden
starts to fall rather expressively
however, it is all groovy and gravy
after donovan makes me smile again
with that mountain song with the
unsuspectingly funky groove
Today the sun recites itself
in poetry of light
abundantly...
the garden is painted
in joy...
The flowers exult
in scents and colors...
my eyes opened
to appreciate all
beauty...
Awake, I'm...
I the one who came from the haze
nights...
I woke up early to
sight the miracles
oF the nature... !
Have a bliss Day ! !

One day i will be so clear
that everyone will sight me...
One day I will be so much further
pure that I will only be essence...
Essentially spirit!
One day I won't even have
smells or scents.. but
everyone will feel mine
emanations from remote...
One day I won't verbalize,
but everyone will discern me...
I will no formerly a man,
but a being of light !

PS suggestef song LONDON TOWN by DONOVAN
https://youtu.be/teAVV37Aa4s
Of the ancestral crystals,
the spirit is outlined in
shapes and contours ...
Asleep ore,
so it begins.
Circumscribed to vegetable
dreams of the future ...
Almost dreams then
plant ... yearns
animal ...
Animal wakes up ... retarded
but rational ...
So we arrived
for debugging ...
So living, passing,
coming and going ...
For one day to conquer,
to continue conquering ...
To be finally sublimated
in angels .. on the way
forth the light...!

Afternoon Delight!
Lookin’ forward to a little afternoon delight
Turn! Turn! Turn!
There is a season turn, turn, turn
A time to every purpose under heaven
A time for neck rub, a time for kiss, a time to unfold 70’s clock radio music
Peter, Paul and Mary
88.7
Bob Dylan, Donovan, Neil Young
A time to borrow propane tank next door
A time to swim in ocean of stars
A time to Yale at Jose – the gardener
A time to country
two left feet who never promise a rose garden
A time for Chopin piano concerto along with a time for COVID models
A time for Mahjong and Gin rummy
Without winning or losing
Whopping Leap of faith: A time of homemade haircut
A time for Prosecco and strawberries; a time for Instacart
A time to Mystic Hills; a time to Top of the World
Oh, my beloved lemon thief
A time to dream –
grateful dreams – tasty dreams – To Have and Have Not dreams
Today and always
The greatest radio station in the world!!
A light
came down from heaven
got confused
with the sun's rays
in a joyful day...
A cloud
separated for a
moment
the show
blue than the sky
offered ... but
the wind suitably
he composed
the cheerful picture
again...
The blued canvas
with the sun
brilliant ... they presented
to all
the scenery
of a day
full
of smiles ...
a lovely day...!

Up there, a wonderful garden
moon flowers, silvering
the sky,,,
Further away, igneous
powerful garden of the sun ...
Fire flowers crackle
without burning ... !
Beyond, right there
superb garden of lights,
flowers of all colors,
of heavenly sparkles ...
They are all magnitudes,
divine gardens
of the creator ... that we have
also a garden in us ...!

Fire, come walk with me
Dark knights turn and kneel
Light reigns always, you’ll see.

This singer had a ton of fun
Calling himself Donovan
Updated his moniker to 'Mellow Yellow'
Banana costume and all ~ What a fellow!
She’s eighty-eight this day in January,
Graced my life nearly a quarter century.
When I grow up I want to be,
Just like my dear friend, nay ‘Auntie’, Bridie!
This Colleen from Castlemaine, County Kerry,
Is ever joyous and merry.
Bridie loves a hearty hug or rousing Irish song,
She’ll skip an Irish waltz, pulling ye along.
Life’s small joys she savors
Content with simple pleasures.
She’ll coax a smile from any wee child on sight,
On the slightest chance they might.
Crossword puzzles and newspapers from her easy chair.
Chick flicks with a glass of Bailey’s, she’s there!
A gentle, loving spirit is she,
This wise ole soul is also a bit naughty!
With an ever present twinkle in her eye,
Flirting with lads much younger she spies.
‘Tis rare this charmer from them won’t pry
A smile for her daring, playful side!
Wherever with her you go,
Darned if she doesn’t meet someone she knows.
Calling one and all ‘love’ and ‘darling’
Says life is ‘grand’, she bestows ‘God Bless’ in parting.
Bridie’s always ready for her sweets and a cuppa tay,
May we share many more tea times before we part ways!

the underdog becomes the wolf
in a shocking turn of events
yet not of his own volition
'you are finally a man' they say
but he does not agree
he is a boy, plucked from a childhood
and thrust into survival
but here
they call it adulthood
they call it becoming a man
and he doesn't understand
he's clawed his way through ruins
with his own two hands
his own bloody knuckles
and razor sharp teeth
he's drilled holes in skulls
that carried weapons in the form of actions
he has learned from an early age
that some boys cannot become a man
unless they kill a few
