A Doberman’s known to be picky
With friends so to greet one is tricky
To kiss is a bummer
Undoubtedly dumber
Is to sneak up and give one a hickey

Oh, you funny doggie, with that brown face I adore,
why are you now making that sound that I can't ignore?
Are you lonely? Are you sad? Are your paw paws feeling sore?
No dog whisperer am I, so sometimes it’s a chore
to understand your needs. My dog talk is so poor!
Already I have fed you. You surely can’t want more.
And already you’ve gone potty. I take you to the door.
No, you won’t go out! You sniff and sniff the floor.
At last I understand! It’s your ball you’re looking for!
Here it is, my doggie. Now what tricks have you in store?

The Whining Doberman
Hey, what you doing looking just at me!
You see I'm begging you to play?
Look here, my toys are waiting just for us...
please throw one, let's have fun today!
You're standing there with camera in your hands!
I'm losing patience, so please stop!
I want you now to pick up my best toy
and tell me 'fetch' so I can hop,
and run and jump like we do every day...
no more just filming me upset.
It is so boring when I play alone...
all I can do is whine and fret!
Come, play with me, I don't know what to do!
When by myself it's not the same.
You call me 'Buddy'...I'm your bestest friend!
My whines will stop for just one game!

I used Link A on YouTube as the reference for my poem.
Owner says he is whining cause he lost a treat under
the cabinet. But I used a different reason. You can click
on the link under the photo to watch.

I am king Doberman of my home
I stand guard when I am all alone
I love my master, he’s the man
But I am top dog, king of my land
He feeds me kibble and takes me out
He says do my business, often shouts
I don’t know why he leaves every day
but I get a bone when he’s been away
I sometimes chew his shoes and ties
They smell like him, I can fantasize
I hear my master, he’s at the door
I better look innocent and lay on the floor
At last he’s home again to stay
I've had a very long, boring day
I run and jump and let out a squall
As I stop and stare at my huge yellow ball
I whine and pace, until I get my way
I know my master will give in and play

Laid down dog frown
Bedded Brown the doberman
Sitting on the bed
Growing mad
Barking, talking snorting
Bowing his head
Snarling, barking, grawing
What's wrong with him
Mouth wide open
Pouting laying in you bed mad
Laying on his side still snarling, growling, growling
Let still laying on the bed
On his side laying he lays...
Laid down dog frown
Bedded Brown the doberman

BROWNIE the DOBERMAN
"I'm looking at you"!
"Why, you wining"?
"Why, ya blue"?
"What's you lookin for"?
"WHY, YA BLUE"?
"Wining, sniffing exploring, what's you lookin for, boy"?
"Sniffing round all over the floor
What's wrong with you"?
Brownie, talk to me
Something up, why ya down
Sniffing around
Why, you snaring, wining
Pining
Talk to me boy!
"I'm still looking at you"!
"Why, you wining, boy"?
"Why, ya blue"?
"What's you lookin for"?
"WHY, YA BLUE my dog Brown Doberman"?
Ah!! yes this my tale of Brownie the Doberman

My Doberman puppy's in trouble
He cocked his leg against our kitchen table
And I’d only just taken him for walkies
where he just sniffed at that manky mutt Mable
I’d let my Chester off his leash
so he could answer natures call
but not a piddle was to be seen
he preferred to be chasing a ball
So now he’s whining like a naughty child
In fact, he’s retreated onto my bed
I think he’s ashamed of his behaviour
as the sheet’s been pulled over his head!

Hey buddy, this pooch has got a bone to pick with you -
You’re in the doghouse and we need to talk this through.
So prick up your ears and hear me through to the end -
This language barrier needs some serious work, my friend!
You wonder why I sulk and have no time for tricks -
Well would you want to party if you’d had your manhood fixed?!
And then you tug my lead when I’m positioned by a tree-
Say, do I bring a stop watch every time you need a wee?
I bring your paper daily, wag my tail with affection
But do you thank me? No, you just rush to the sports section.
I don’t mean to hound you because I’m your biggest fan
But please don't take for granted your most faithful Doberman x

"What we've got here is a very serious language barrier, not mine!
Let me introduce myself, I'm Tricky, a Doberman Pinscher and a thoroughbred.
My Dad Mick, clever, thinks he can talk to his pets, whatever!
He has two, yes, me and a cat called, grruf, T. C.!
Oops, he is coming, he mustn't know I write and talk too."
"Tricky, good boy, were off walkies", "Dangling my lead in my face.
A few happy barks, bark, bark. plus I wag my stumpy tail,
were on our way, so happy, I was hoping to the park,
the only place Mick lets me off my short lead, great fun.
I try to indicate my desire but no, the river, head down.
Saw a duck, made a lunge in the river plunged, cool water!
Could not believe my luck, no, didn't get the duck, Mick flew"!

Your son was injured and I'm as sorry as I can be.
But you had no right to kill a dog who wasn't guilty.
Your son was attacked and nearly killed by another Doberman.
You thought that it was my dog so you shot him with your gun.
But the guilty Doberman was caught two days ago and he was euthanized.
You killed an innocent dog and because of that, you ought to be chastised.
My dog wasn't just a pet, he was also my friend.
I cried as I buried him because it was the end.
If it wasn't for your son's predicament, Id have you put in jail.
That's the only thing that's stopping me from having you locked in a cell.
If you shoot another innocent animal, I won't be so nice.
Before you shoot another animal, you'd better think twice.

If I had a Doberman
I’d never crop her ears
or dock her tail,
although she’d probably
loose her ovaries.
Just a silly hound
but she’d still
retain her teeth.
